Bruhhh, this is how the new M3 should looks. This has big grills but not like the ones on the 7 and they are normal grills and not those atrocious pig nose new grills. Hopefully BMW doesn't kill more cars ( in designs ) with that new grill.

If you have to much money: buy a M340i, give it to Aulitzky for the exterior and make an engine swap of the M3 with it specs. In the end, you get the M3 as you have expected:)
Ehh the b58 is nearly as capable as the s58. Curious to see if guys will be tossing the twin turbos in the s58 to swap for a single as we used to in the old n54 and n55s for drag racing setups.. either way all motors mentioned here are super fast and can’t wait to get my hands on one.

Good thing this wasn't the new M3. That would have been weak engine, tame body, and not as exiting interior. The new M3 is sick almost all around inside and out. It has a great powertrain and handles pretty well. Just one problem, that front end.
In acceleration it's slightly slower than the M2 CS, but I'd love to have one. A sort of M3 with x drive. sort of. In the UK if you spec your car with Shadow Line package you have to accept black wheels. I hate the black wheels.
Stock turbo I’m guessing ?? I bet that’s why it feels laggy up top, but on the contradictory, that’s why it’s the perfect daily because there’s no lag.
It looks so much better than the M3/M4. I prefeer blue, white or black colour, and the steering wheel I think the old one on f30 M perfomance is perfect design and the should have stick to that, this one is not that sporty and nice looking. But otherwise it's a wonderful car and am looking forward to get one 330i after my current f31

Just wondering how this thing compares with the F30 version 340i. I like my F30 so much but 340i is not a M performance car in four years ago when it was debut.
I replaced my 340i touring (2017) with a new M340i touring in February. The M340i is definitely quicker and the X-Drive means it gets away from the lights better. The rear passengers get a bit more room and the interior gadgets are fun (gesture control is a pain, I don't know why you'd be encouraged to waggle a finger in the air when you can simply press a button on the steering wheel to change the volume on the stereo). I totally agree with Max the 'normal' grill is one awful looking thing - go for the blacked out shadow edition. I wouldn't say the difference is night and day, but I wouldn't go back to the 340i. If you can afford to, get the M340i, but the F30 is a lovely car.

I don't think it's 505hp either, probs around 450hp as that's what these engines are with just a stage 2 tune. You need meth/e85 to reach 500.

M3 is a better starting point and a much better car. Just needs a bumper upgrade. M has the wide rear quarters which are amazing.

Maybe the torque curve shifted to the right with an upward curve - the standard M340i just surges because of its torque curve is just a block - nice!

S55 engine in old M3, S58 engine in new M3 which are both twin turbo 3L. The 340i has single turbo 3L B58 engine.
M340 is like C43, M3 like C63
