There are many iterations of the B58. I had the first gen in my 2016 340i XDrive. It had 320hp. Then with the m performance tune it was 335hp. The 2020 M340i was the high output B58 at 382hp. Then in 2021 the M340i also received the 48v mild hybrid system which is an 11hp boost though they still rate the engine at 382hp. What are the reasons? Have you driven the RS3 as well? I’m seriously planning to buy one next year. Genuinely torn.
@@mikexlr8 First of all, the platform. The Audi RS3 is a VW Golf in every respect. The ride in the BMW is way nicer, the handling is better, it's much more responsive, the technology is far ahead, and I just prefer the BMW personally.
Out of everything you said, the handling is the most important to me. I’ve yet to test drive either of them but I will. If the handling is noticeably better with the M340i then I’ll likely go with it.
Beautiful car
It is!
This I like
Thank you for watching!
I currently have an Audi S5. I've also owned a C43. Would you say this is better than both of those?
Yes, it's the better car in my opinion in every aspect.
Yes. Absolutely. Very familiar with all 3. The BMW has better driving dynamics and is also the fastest, the most fuel efficient, and has the best tech. FYI… I have AVERAGED 31.2mpg since I bought it 43,000 miles ago. And I drive 50% city 50% freeway and am a pretty spirited driver.
Also Great to be a Toyota Supra Engine 9:05 9:52.
It's actually a BMW engine that is used in a Toyota.
I have both m4 competition and m340 I x drive. M lovers please don't underestimate m340.
Exactly!
9:57 you confused the hell out of that driver, please drive with caution, you're further fueling the bad BMW driver reputation.
Look at how he did the turn because he thinks you're insane.
He just moved a lane. I didn't even get in his way.
Is it more fun than Golf R? for a fraction of price
Granted, BMW is much more luxurious.
I haven't driven the newest Golf R, but of course the BMW will be better in every aspect. Completely different class.
@@DMCarReviews Perhaps, but I meant fun...
What a great car! Looks great in this spec!! M440i looks better imo but I prefer this one though, seems to be louder and its lighter as well which the last thing these cars needed was more weight😂😂
It is! As far as the weight, it's like a 100 lbs difference. The sound is due to the M exhaust, otherwise they are identical. I'd pick the M440i Gran Coupe personally.
@@DMCarReviewsto each their own👍
@@robisking528For sure!
@@MuhammadAli-vs7qwOk troll... huge difference, we get it.
***CRINGE WARNING***
Me: *meets BMW*
Also me: "Ooh, I think I'm in love."
I love and hate this care at the same time. The thing is that they made it way to complex. Everything contrôle is on the screen. I prefer digital boutons
70k though … why not just buy an m3 drive ?
M3 is 80-90k on average, and it's less comfortable.
I love it but for 70 why not just get a M3💀
M3 is 85-90k
@@DMCarReviews what about the F80 50 to 60
@@Roshan8825-y5d That's a used car with an unknown history. No idea how they were driven.
At $77k, I would expect this car to be fully loaded. That's a rip off IMO.
It is pretty much fully loaded with the M Exhaust. It also came with good discounts too.
every single launch control you did was done completely wrong
Thank you for watching! It was great to match BMW's factory claimed 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds.
@@DMCarReviews haha you're a nice guy. i appreciate the video. the car is a beast
This car would be perfect without the stupid double tablet on the dashboard and stupid gauge design.
I think it's very well implemented.
This car doesn't corresponds with your driving skills and abilities, sorry bro...
How did you determine that, lol?
I have a m440xi and before that an m340i, great fast cars, love them both, the 22' m440xi is slightly faster than the m340i but it feels a little slower (just the feeling, but the stopwatch doesn't lie). Handling wise though I had an Alfa Romeo Giulia 4 cyl and that car was absolutely superior, best car I have ever driven in that regard.
Interesting! I prefer the handling of the M340i over the Giulia. Also, both cars should have identical performance.
@@DMCarReviews well the Giulia ti 2l is not as quick, the quadrifoglio is a lot quicker than the m340, it’s not just the 0-60 that is not that different, m3, m340, Giulia Q are not soooooo different in that regard, but both the m3 and the Giulia Q have different overall performance compared to the m340, that I repeat is a fantastic car! The handling I’m sorry but like I said, not even comparable in my opinion, the Alfa is like a go kart, best handling car I have ever driven
@@SC-dp1gv The M340i will 98% beat the Quadrofoglio in a standing 1/4 mile. Handling is all relative to each driver, and how it feels to them.
@@DMCarReviews uhhhhh I think you are comparing apple to oranges here, the q has to be compared to the m3 or m3 competition, I mean, I love my car but come on….
@@SC-dp1gv So you basically admit a car for less money beats that Giulia in most categories. You know who's winning at the stop lights. I won't even mention reliability, technology, and traction safety. Alfa can't compete with BMW.
Too bad comments keep getting deleted
Oh well, I am not deleting them... so must be a technical issue
