    I just bought a GT6 in excellent condition. Can't wait to finish prepping it and taking it out for a run!

      You won't stop grinning for a month. It happens every time I drive mine, so much so I am sure people think "there is a village somewhere missing their idiot.

    Great driving, great sound, and that 2 liter had to be built wonderfully. Thanks for sharing, now I need to get back to work on my basket case GT6 MKIII

      Motor turns 8,200 RPM and the header from Group 44 makes the sound. No other GT6 sounds like the ‘72 Group 44 car

      @@AccessMotorSports Not running a standard bottom end then? A standard bottom end with some arp rod bolts likes to rev but not to 8200 RPM, well maybe once. They are such a joyful car to drive you can't help smiling.

    I always love hearing this screaming Triumph at the PVGP. Glad I found this video to find more about the car. Here is footage of it racing at this year's (2022) PVGP. ruclips.net/video/-pnsF-UtBEs/видео.html

    Great video. I've seen many photographs of this car, but this is the first time I've seen it on video. Are you able to share any information regarding what you've done to the car's front and rear suspension? Also, can you let me know what make of alloy wheels you're using as well as their size and offset? -- Their fitment looks perfect in the photographs.

    Amazing footage, great driving and a soundtrack to match! One question, has it got close ratios or a high final drive?

    • @AccessMotorSports
      @AccessMotorSports  2 года назад +1

      Jericho 4 speed, 3:90 rear gears on that track, 4:11 on some shorter tracks.

      Opps - wrong car. Close ration box, 3:90 Triumph rear gears

      Mk III. Triple Webers. It is the original Group 44 1972 GT6. I have restored it 3 times since 1992 when I bought it. About 200 HP

      That is the sound in the cabin. I did not mic the engine or any separate mic. Just the Go Pro in the case. Car sounds like no other in line 6

      @@stezo15 were you ever able to get one? They are pretty loud from the inside. I don’t really have any sound deadening in mine, beyond a few heat insulation. The firewall and sides pretty much has nothing, and the transmission covers, factory, are basically cardboard. You can get ABS plastic, but I have reflective tape on mine, and it’s still loud and hot.
