SpectreSoundStudios - Wow that's amazing!! can you still hear these days ??
I was there too with a few friends. Killer show! Really like what you're doing with the SpectreSoundStudios chanel btw! Thanks for sharing the great info and Keeping the Faith...
God Metal bless u
i was at this concert on my birthday , 22 years old smoking hash , Testament, and Megadeth opened for them . the lead singer for testament was pissed cos the crowd wasn,t loud enough , it didn,t start really rocking til Judas Priest took the stage but what could they expect , everyone was there for Priest.
+skyzzalive Did Testament "cut their set short" due to "lack of crowd enthusiasm?" How did the audience react to Megadeth?
+AngelofAnguish I was at this show too.. Their were two women right up at the front holding on to the metal barricade trashing like it was packed but everyone else was just sitting down like they were watching TV. He said at least there are two here who really know how to rock. It was a little sad to see, cause testament were awesome.
Things picked up a little when Megadeth came on stage, but again looking at the crowd you would think they were watching MTV or Muchmusic.. just sitting there.
Once Priest were coming on everyone finally on their feet and the horns raised, pumping in unison... crowd was definately mostly there for priest...
I was their for all 3 and all were worth the 4 hour drive :)
+Ken O'Rielly Priest was so big in the '80s and ruled the metal shows. Megadeth hit it big that year when Rust in Peace came out, then Countdown hit and they went bigtime. I saw Priest four or five times and they were just awesome. Crue and the poseur bands couldn't hang with them.
+skyzzalive I saw it in Cleveland and it was on fire ALL night.
+skyzzalive was there too.. Great show
The stage was huge during their 1990 leg of the 'Painkiller' tour, but Halford struggled with his voice that year. He read somewere that he had vocal nodes, and he was tired emotionally from the courtcase. This was a fantastic setlist, with 6 songs off the new 'Painkiller'-album in the setlist. 'Metal Meltdown' was dropped a few nights after this. Halford struggled (believe it or not) to keep up vocally with the speed the band was playing the song in. The intro for it was kept for the rest of the tour, as an intro to 'Riding On The Wind' though. In 1991, the scale of the stage was much smaller. but Halford's voice was back, almost as good as in 1988.
Don't worry. They are human beens like everybody. This that is not like everybody : They are remarkable and outstanding. And will stay in the time forever.
best band ever dude! cheers from italy
'Victim Of Changes' is one of my all time favourite Priest and metal songs, I had only seen Judas Priest on Top Of The Pops and thought them laughable....then 'Unleashed In The East' came out and changed my opinion of them forever. As luck would have it, just when I got that album, they were soon to play the Rainbow Theatre in London, promoting it. Iron Maiden were supporting, to rapturous reception, but when Priest came on they were nothing but a dim memory, (I always thought of Maiden as a bit of a poor man's Judas Priest). I'll never forget that concert and the 'Unleashed In The east' album is still regularly played and loved. What a singer, what a band!
Metal gods... I caught them on this tour in Calgary. Testament and Megadeth opened...Awesome!
OMG, I live in New Zealand but I WAS AT THIS SHOW! Arrived in Toronto after 5 days on the train from Vancouver to find my mate from NZ handing me a ticket saying "guess what we are doing tonight!"...couldnt believe it. Testament and Megadeth opened for them. One of those screaming voices was mine....wooohoooo! Love Priest...will never forget that night!...thank you guys! And thank you Mr DynamiteWHiskey for uploading this.
METAL GOD'S,🎸❤️🎸💀
The metal gods. Greatness
I'm sure this was the most monumental tour ever in metal history...
I totally skipped work to go to this concert!!!! Of course, I don't actually remember much :)
I saw them 2 Times on that Tour in Germany,Annihilator and Pantera supported them.I will never forget those two Gigs, bcs they were AWESOME!! Horns Up & R.I.P. Dimebag
Oh man! I got goosebumps just to listen to nighcrawler. Long Live the Priest!!!
Metal Gods!! One and ONLY!!
+ultrakoichitube Look at the band! Gotta' ask yourself: HOW MUCH black leather and studs can one band wear? If THIS ISN'T "committment, passion, and dedication," to "heavy metal," then I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS!
The Gardens was awesome for concerts, especially for a big arena.
I love how this asserts that the Painkiller definitely wasn't a flash-in-the pan darling of the studio :) He hasn't got that baby-tone and there's that classic Halford wail with his addictive vibrato on "(thousand) SUNS" What a guy!
What a band! What a performance!
GREAT VID. Thanx for upload
Awesome
Perfect Setlist!
INCREDIBLE..
awesome show.
the best band
Great show of my life

My seats were right in front of the stage right speakers that night. One of my buddy's ears literally bled and he had to go to the hospital the next day. Best show I ever saw!!!!!!!

I have ever seen.. they played beyond the realms of death...omg....that was my favorite JP song at the time.. and they never play it live.......
DAT EDITION
I actually won tickets to the Vancouver BC show that year. Maybe the best Halloween I ever had, even if I nearly got crotched by a bottle rocket that night. Even better than all that, it was right around the time of my 17th birthday.
My dad was at this show with his friends and they had an awesome time
you're welcome. thank you too for you comment sir
Dude! nice capture, what a fukn show!! Ripper, VICTIM OF CHANGES (Come on Toronto!), Green Man - OMFG.
"YOU'RE POSSESSING ME!!!"
Of all I've ever seen, I think this is their best performance including painkiller songs - the title track itself is devastating!
I was there for this gig!
You had a blast no doubt my love !
Yes I did!
I was at the concert. A very interesting moment.
The height of his powers :) what a concert!
Greetings From Polish! JUDAS PRIEST GODS!!!!
Rob lost his voice recording Painkiller album... what a masterpiece.
He did not lose it with Painkiller, listen to War of words and Resurrection
the one dislike is not human.................
1990 the tailend of the classic metal era. I had just got into metal around this time and painkiller was one of the first albums I bought. Thats one pretty gnarly crowd btw!
Metal Meltdown destroys the stage
Man, they changed up the set for this tour SO MANY TIMES.
PHILLY WAS AMAZING!!!!!!
when they are finishing hell bent for leather you can get the picture from unleashed in the east's cover...heheh thanks for the concert...Judas are the fucking godss
Super! Two great countries with an amazing cuisine. Hail to you :)
I was there, and not far from the camera guy!
viva priest !!!!
I was at that show too.You can hear me screaming too
ELLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The concert where Halford got clotheslined on the half risen riser, was NOT in Detroit, but was in Toronto, I know, because I was there, & saw it from the 10th row.
Aug 19/1991, Operation Rock N Roll with Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Metal Church, & Dangerous Toys @ CNE Stadium.
100% CORRECT
Is there a video or news story about this? I don’t know what happened.
that was the show that motorhead was supose to be at but I guess had border problems or something. Yeah it was an awesome show at the EX, I sure miss them days and shows there.
First Song Glenn and KK jump around like madmen at the end of it. Awesome!
Oh ya buddy I was there,I was 20 at the time me and buddy drove from London with our chick's.Me and buddy drank about a half a 60 of whiskey on the way and blazed phatty after phatty, fuck'n wrecked by the time we got there lol.Concert was fuck'n amazing.Helford can whale like no other, got some lung's on that boy.Cheer's bud it's been a long time.
Robs voice sounds better than most shows from this era !!!
Sounds like he is singing instead of just screaming.
wow testament and MEGADETH opened!? That's fuggin' awe-some!
I'm made of metal, my circuits gleam, I am perpetual, I keep the country clean!
Fuckn A
yup he did. the 2nd verse
I would like to get a blu ray of these tour ...
Love the stage, the presence of the band, the crowd goes mad without handys in their hands ...
The New York '91 clip is damn good, too. Check it out 🖤
I'd give my right nut to see a professionally recorded video of the mercenaries of metal tour 1988...Unfortunately it will never happen :(
!!!
15:54 Halford must have walked about 3,000 miles during guitar solos over the years.
Cocaine.
@@robertghanem4908 BS. Rob has been clean since Painkiller. Get your facts right.
Metal coolnes
Almost didnt get the mic to his mouth.
......and with all the decades of practice he has both on and off stage. Jeez.

Too bad the beginning pyro and Rob rolling out on his bike is missing...yes I was at this show.
wuz 18 took my xwife out first date Edmonton concert. cool memories
30:10 AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCKING ORGASM!!!!!!!!!
Ian Hill has a nice mustache.
PAINKILLER album cumbre del HEAVY METAL
They left the bike bang centre in the middle of the stage for the first 2 songs just sitting there. Lol
ure funny!
that incident happened in Detroit...their last show together since the reunion
No, that incident happenned in Toronto 1991
Those silverish/white shoes that Halford wore during the first few dates of this tour looked so damn ugly… Good thing he reverted back to his usual black boots later on in the tour.
Painkiller solo @ 1:10:12
STORMS WARNING 19:00
Halford sound very overworked here..
@ 9:45, look at THAT stage set and lighting rig! To paraphrase Paul Stanley: No one wants to spend their (hard-earned) money (on a ticket) and have to look at an empty stage.
πατριδα!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was at this, i went with my moms coworker as no one else wanted to go. he had a hash joint and i was so high i had to sit down every minute. i must have looked like a dick to the people behind me. Megadeth opened.
how they, especially halford don't get overheated wearing all that leather. you see halford wearing those floor length coats, gloves, boots. those lights get hot. must sweat their asses off!
How do you go from painkiller to Green manalishi??
I was at this concert but where is the part at the beginning where rob halford bangs his head while riding in?
MIKE hodgson that was in Toronto a year later in 1991
What no defenders songs ?no freewheel, sentinel love bites and no eat...wtf
Cahit Yazar Dude...Painkiller trumped Turbo for eternity.
+Cahit Yazar THAT'S GOOD NEWS FOR ME! TO THIS DAY, I CANNOT STAND TURBO! In my opinion, when Priest released Turbo, they were VERY LUCKY the words, "sell out," weren't around back then!
+AngelofAnguish I'm not sure what they were thinking when turbo came out and why did they let it come out ,but yeah I hate turbo ! I'm with you on that? I think they were told to make an album like that with synthesizers ,not a good idea that's for sure . Priest Rulz, and I still would listen to it just because I'm a big fan of there music !
Ron Dormoriz ron and angel you are both correct. It was a sign of the times, I knew it wasn't Priest when I heard the synth..just a producer or a record label rolling with the styles of the times. After "Jump", the world changed....and unfortunately, so did a lot of out favorite bands..at least for a while..
14:32 look to Rob and K.K. haha
Who would've thought the latter part of the decade was about to get really freaking boring, and no one even saw it coming. 😬😒
all the leafs in the crowd were asleep
His voice was much better the year after this on the operation rock and roll tour.. This was near the end of the year and tour so his throat was taxed by this time, sounds very overworked and tired. Not bad though just not up to his standards.
halford is judas priest, hell bent for leather..................for sure.
Puoi dirlo forte :c
Is this the show where the bike accident ocurred?
