I understand how you are feeling. You have to find what you are interested in. It takes a lot of exploring and time to figure out what you want to do. The reason I like Minecraft is because I can implement my other hobbies into it and express my creativity to its fullest extent. I fully support you and your decision. Good luck out there! I hope you find your ultimate passion soon!

@@barce8008 I have seen your videos before! It seems to be a common problem these days. I think one of my biggest issues was just how long it took to make the videos. I was spending 8-10 hours a day making them for almost 0 return financially, it was really hard to justify that. Thanks for the support and I’m glad we could talk about it.

I played hockey for 17 years, the first year I quit I felt so free up until about 8 months into my retirement and then I missed it like crazy. I never got the opportunity to compete at a high level again after that. It's one of my biggest regrets that I wish would've played out differently. I just needed a break. Instead, I let my emotions control my decision and I never should've quit. Hopefully that story can provide a different perspective :)

happy birthday!!! I really understand where you're coming from with the video games thing. Sitting on my chair all day genuinely feels bad. There's got to be something more than that.
I've wanted to try RUclips for a long time but I just can't deal with all the stressful things about making videos like recording my voice and then smashing it together in a video editor for hours. I don't know how you've done it for so long and I've got to commend you for it and for doing it so well.

It's always good when a content creator takes the time to pop by and tell the community why uploads have become sporadic (or stop altogether) I'm sure I'm not the only person who's enjoyed a creator who has just stopped - and you're then left wondering is that creator ok? Did something bad happen?
I came to your channel when you had a couple hundred subs and it was so good to enjoy your excitement as the numbers grew. Unfortunately I found your upload schedule too frequent for me to keep up with (I typically enjoy looking forward to uploads once a week on a particular day as that gives me time and space to enjoy) Once I've missed a few videos I find it's hard to get back into watching.
I love that you've found a creative outlet in drawing. I love your honesty regarding how being monitised isn't as great as you thought it would be and I wish you well.
On the off chance that you upload to the channel in the future I'm going to remain subscribed. Wishing you luck in your future endeavours

I've noticed that the videos that do best on this channel are the ones with the big projects. It would be great if you did some big projects in this world.
Such as the elemental temples. The areas that didn't do too well in my opinion were just because there was no hype around it. Everyone thought it was great, but wasn't really that excited for it. If you rebooted that with some of your new techniques I've noticed, that could go well.
The other thing is that you say you really only enjoy the building side of the game, which I can relate to, but I get sick of it really quickly, and some days just want to do something else. Maybe you just haven't your style in the game *aside* from building.
Something else was the streams. I loved the streams, and I know everyone else did too, and a very common question you got from myself and others was"When will the next stream be?". And when that is some thing your viewers want, but you don't provide, then why would they watch a channel that is giving them the content they want?
Your videos are amazing, and there is great potential in this channel. And at the moment some videos might not be doing well, but think about this, what changes have your made to your videos that might have a negative affect? what videos did well?
Right now your are at a tipping point where, your getting small view counts, your not making much money, and the channel isn't growing. You can either quit now, when few people will care, or quit later on, where you lots of people will care, but you would have seen this channel go to it's full potential. I recommend watching Mogswamps video on how his channel came about and it's definitely a good source of motivation!
Goud luck, this channel is going places.

The RUclips Algorithm is an unforgiving treadmill.
I've been doing RUclips for less than a year now, and I can relate to this a lot. My motivation that keeps me going with RUclips is the possible entertainment value that I can provide, even if it's a small chunk or two of people spread across several weeks. I've enjoyed watching so many people make videos and they've made me laugh and leave a big difference in my life growing up, so I want to put that same feeling forward. Either if it's for 51 people, or 18k people, it's worth it for me

I just turned 26 on September 20. With me it’s quite the opposite. I don’t have any time at all. But I wanna work on videos. And maybe making gaming videos isn’t your thing. RUclips is for everyone. And maybe drawing is your thing. There are a lot of artists on RUclips. Making completely new content is difficult. I struggled making my identity as a reading channel. And only have 135 subscribers at the moment.

It's excellent to hear you've found a new hobby to express your creativity!
Creative endeavors are really, really difficult. I'm trying to make a game or two to release on Steam, and something that helps me when discouragement comes is to remember: Value comes from enjoying the creative process. I need to remember that making money off of a hobby, or growing an audience, or whatever isn't what gives the hobby value; it's the journey and growth where value comes. I say that because no matter the creative endeavor - Minecraft, game dev, drawing - those discouragement comes. And I would argue that discouragement isn't the same as disinterest - so if, while you're drawing, you become a little discouraged, take heart! I think it means that you are enjoying what you're doing and you have high expectations for yourself.
So, in all, thanks for the Minecraft videos, and good luck with drawing! (for what an internet stranger's opinion is worth, my personal favorite sketchbooks are Strathmore - they tend to be on sale at Michael's too, so it's nice to be able to get multiple sketchbooks ahead of time)

Thats great how you are listening to yourself and instead of keeping up with something that you will hate, you move on to new areas in life that give so much more joy. I totally get that, things that I have loved in my childhood/teen years have been not giving the same feeling, I think that its just a sign that we're growing up. Its not like you can't ever go back to Minecraft just for fun. For me at least, I was so set on making music my career with my violin, but I could see that as I was trying to make that everything, I was losing all of the joy I had for it. Now I've moved on to a new career but still play my violin for fun and that resored my love for music and also helped me in my different career. I wish you the best as you figure out your direction in life!

I think a big shift for me in the past 3-4 months is that I don't find joy in gaming. I was never really a big gamer to begin with though. Not sure what changed, but gaming doesn't excite me like it used to. It's usually my absolute last choice when I have nothing else to do. This is a really confusing shift for me as well, because I don't know where this came from

When i mentioned I treated RUclips like job, I was more talking about how i was over editing my videos and making a style I didnt enjoy, and hopefully bring in new viewers. It went against the reason I started the channel in the first place.
