This war essentially put the german states onto the path of uniting into the Second German Empire (that's why Germany from 1933 to 1945 is called the Third Reich for those who hadn't already guessed it). Considering the impact this single battle had on the history of Europe, it's nice to see it represented in LEGO form! :) I wrote an essay about this specific battle in school, and I remember reading a small portion of a Prussian officers diary during my research, who expressed his surprise at how fiercely one of the redoubts retaliated with a barrage of fire, in response to being fired on once.
im danish this makes me so happy my small country never gets any recognation love the buiæd and video thank you so much for bringing attention to our history and awesome build even tho we lost lol also rest in peace to slegsvig holdsten btw the uniform was actually also blue and i belive the prussians had a darker uniform
The Battle of Dybbøl was the key battle of the Second Schleswig War, fought between Denmark and Prussia. The battle was fought on the morning of 18 April 1864, following a siege that began on 2 April. Denmark suffered a severe defeat which - with the Prussian capture of the island of Als - ultimately decided the outcome of the war, forcing Danish cession of the duchies of Schleswig and Holstein.
Histirically incorect. The directir is en egogistical duece that dosnt deserve his succes. He changes many true stories in his movies and dosnt Care when the hurted families goes public.
