3 for 3 (All s22's that is) I give you a 10 out of 10. The public (including me) haven't even received their new phones yet but you have showed us what is inside them and how tough they are. Thanks for all your effort.
You're welcome, glad I could do it :)
@@PBKreviews OK I have a quick question brother how hard is it to get replacement parts cause I also have an S22 ultra
@@PBKreviews heyyyy epiccc!! Awesomee 지존!!🥹🥹👍🏼👍🏼

Video is so clean and technical. No bullshit. Enjoyed it man. Very nice job thanks. Subscribed
Thank you, I appreciate it :)

Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
I just figured out why i really love your teardown videos.....
Your videos are informative, and to the point, without the unnecessary commentary and cheap shots at humor. You explain everything very well and in a simplified manor for someone like me who has limited knowledge of smartphone internal components. Yes I Am Subscribing To Your Channel!
Interesting! every part has Graphite sheets to absorb heating 👍
And that huge Ultra sonic fingerprint scanner 😳
It's quite nice: S20 Ultra was mostly fine for me for the scanner but this thing is buttery smooth
I feel like my phone is getting hot, next to my underwear, even when I've even got all the apps (supposedly) closed.
The battery drains faster than my note 10+, AND the mandatory 5G (per Verizon model instead of Samsung direct) isn't even faster than 4G, in a very metropolitan area.
You got the gold medal 🥇 for S22 series teardown from your viewers, buddy.
Thank you :)
JerryRigEverything will just miss the podium for his teardown video
@@corey7219 yes! He is a bit of a political duchebag. I stopped following him.
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
Very beautiful teardown. I work as a repair technician so this is research for me. I can't wait to open one of these bad boys up.
Thanks!
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
Excellent! the explanation pointing different components and its functions is what excited me more. Thanks a lot for your effort
You're welcome!
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
Thanks for your disassembly teardowns. I never know what's inside the phone.
You're welcome
There is no need to have physical sim card tray as we already have esim chip on these high end phones. Better to remove sim tray and put back Memory Card slot as we need more space to store 4k & 8k videos + pics snapped through 108 MP camera.
I mean, you can get a TB of onboard storage....
You removed the screen and it survived! You're the man!
I BOUGHT 4 SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD PHONES AND ALL 4 HAD COMPLAINTS WHEN I UPDATED THE SOFTWARE AND ONE COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING
You should include which version you arr tearing because exynos and sd is different in some component. Jerryrigs still better
Well, about vapor chamber (VC) Samsung has mentioned in them trailer that:
*"It's made of a new, double-bonded stainless steel" and actually it is, It's not mean to be made of a copper, as ususal.*
This 7.5 score is still a 10 compared to repairing an iPhone. Excellent work!
Thanks👍
This time you were able to pry of the screen without damaging it. Good job and great video mate😁
Thank you, yeah lol I got lucky :)
so~ where is the storage?
damn that 10x peroscope is huge
lol yeah
@@PBKreviews i love disassembling phones and i like your content so i subbed 👍
Thanks for this video. I've already ordered my S22 Ultra and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I'm glad to see how well built it is. I think my money has been well spent.
On Aplle shit you cant do it OLD Hardware and protection from FIX SHIT
Beautiful breakdown! I love how you talked about the different parts of the phone. It's so cool seeing how these things look on the inside. The engineering is just so remarkable. Great video! 👍
Before jerryrig 😭❤️❤️
Love how everything is laid out inside ergonomically
This is much better than the other teardown videos. Good job.
Thanks!
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
Very satisfying. Since I didn't hear any mention of water inside, I assume that the previous water submersion was a success?, :^)
He pointed out the water indicator on the bottom; it was still white. 8:00
@@frogpaste ahh ok Missed it I guess. Thanks
Correct, no water got inside :)
Wow .... Impressive skills 👍
I'm about to buy one and think I best get screen replacement insurance 🤔😁 . You almost made it look easy 😂
haha thanks! :)
I dropped my galaxy s22 ultra and now the antenna 📡 only works through Wi-Fi 😅 I know it doesn't make any sense but that's how it works now 😢 I tried everything already, I did reset the network settings, I restarted the phone 📱 I entered the samsung secret menu reset everything even the cache and nothing works, everything still the same. I have no doubt that it's a hardware problem not a software problem 😅 I took it to Verizon, they seem to know less than I do 😅 please help I don't want to get a new cell mine still good 😢

👍😀
It seems very easy to repair everything is so well done. Great video!
Thanks! :)
Seems that way, sure, but reality isn't the same. Heat the phone first to remove back glass using suction cups: I wouldn't even attempt the front entry he suggested
6:30
WTF are they really directing all the heat from the processor into the battery???
I think its to transfer the heat between the two since the battery heats up as well and then out through the screen
Its actually great idea
@@PBKreviews If majority of the heat exits the screen, I would be worried about my finger.
@@xxxxxls most phones are built to expell heat through screen or occasionally backplate
Man the battery is glued, made in such a way that only an experienced technician can remove it and replace it. Why doesn't anyone complain about this?
Same reason why people are praising the removal of certain features like the headphone jack and SD card slot.
@@pixels_per_inch literally no one is praising the removal of headphone jack and sd slot
I see nothing but people complain about it constantly, acting like Sony phones don't exist who DO have them and the same SoC as these Samsungs
because people intend to replace the phone within 4 years before the battery could become a problem
Yep, not sure why Samsung refuses to put pull tabs.
@@PBKreviews -- For one, Apple pull tabs often snap and you're left with the same task, and secondly LiPo packs are easily damaged and the intent is that if you're having to remove the battery it's best to replace it as they're less than $30 USD

Awesome video. You make it look so easy :D
Ang ganda Naman po nyan. Very nice 🙂
😀 thanks
Great job - I'm liking this copper colour, Samsung call it Burgundy 👌
Yea its a nice color, looks more purplish in person.
Awesome job, man! Thank you for an incredible teardown video! And also, thank you for talking about the different parts as you were removing them.
After watchin this i say goodbye samsung, i'm switching to Iphone 13 pro max
bye felicia
All that without protective gloves...Whoops ! Clearly has never worked in the Microelectronics Industry. Still good Video and earns a Thumbs-up from me.
Thanks :) . I don't want to spend too much time writing an essay like I have to many others who assume its a problem, but long story short its not. I have worked in the field and I have experience with working on thousands of phones over the past 20 years and I can assure you gloves are not necessary. Yes, at the factory it is, its standard protocol working on brand new units. No one wants sloppy hand prints, residue, or anything of that nature on a brand new product. But as far as static protection or shorts, they don't build these electronics like they did 20 years ago when you did have to worry for all that. They take all that into consideration and technology has evolved quite a bit. As long as your battery cable is disconnected, and your not siting on shaggy rug full of static, you're good to go. I appreciate your comment and the like. Thanks again.

Repair? Phone isn't even out and somebody already broke it?????????
(I'm kidding I know it isn't broken)
haha :)
Great tear down..
I was cleaning my Display on my Note 10+ out in the sunlight yesterday & I could see the gold looking fingerprint sensor under the display perfectly in the light..
I was like, wow 😳
Thanks, haha yeah under certain light its visible.
Hahaha this bot comment 🤣 😂 😆 ☝🏻
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
wow, and they say there no place for a 3.5mm jack . . . . I rather get rid of the periscope camera for the 3.5mm jack. My Sennheiser HD58X loves 3.5mm jack
haha yep
They would never remove the periscope lens
You can buy an external DAC, big amp, and connect via usb c to the galaxy
Why when you have buletooth ear buds
Do you think they actually removed it because of space constraints? Obviously they did it so that you would buy their wireless headphones. Same reason they removed the SD card slot and charger from the box
Thanks for the breakdown S22 Ultra!
You're welcome
I'm curious how much it'll cost to replace the screen if it was cracked? It's hard to find a proper tempered glass screen protector for this phone. Hopefully one comes out soon.
$269 USD in the USA
These no someone how phone teardown absenteeism phone samsung galaxy s22 ultra 5g sistem cut off pretty put absenteeism source phone cut📱📱📱😨😨
Not sure what you mean :)
Ha Ha Amoled screen from Samsung disasembly without crack it ... fake or skill ? :D
Haha luck, i just got lucky 😄
it is bad move for Samsung to remove the sd card slot. Btw, nice teardown video as usual!
Thank you :)
Hmm interesting 🤔 it's nice to see what's going to be inside my new phone next 2 weeks thank you for the video great job
Thanks!
Also, stainless stain but looks copper -_- it IS copper and has liquid inside along with copper mesh to help truly wick away heat..
If its copper then why does samsung also state that its stainless steel? Lol you really have no idea what your saying so please stop commenting left n right on my channel spreading false information.
Thank You for your obvious time and great efforts in getting this teardown video out so quick, I think many of us teetering on a purchase will appreciate this, along with your durability video. Your expertise is effortlessly displayed to us in your simple straight talking commentary . Im relieved to see a much bigger fingerprint sensor as that was the one niggle I had with my excellent note 20 ultra. Its very comforting to also know if damage occurs, it can be repaired.
Thank you and you're welcome :)
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
It still messes me up that one of the first steps of removing the sim card tray hasnt been a thing these last 2 series of phones. 😅😅 beautiful break down! Simple, and concise.
Thank you! :)
Yeah, it's honestly quite nice that they don't solder the sim tray to the mainboard anymore as I saw many techs fuck that simple step up as it's an easy brain fart.
Once the motherboard and battery is removed, is the whole inner frame made of metal? I meant the pink colored frame.
Iphone noob...
Wow! Environmental friendly as it appears easily repairable
Yup :)
Are you thinking of doing a simple battery test? (playing youtube videos from 100-0 for example, wonder what the temperature and battery life would be!)
Yeah will try to do a battery video soon, but not sure if I will be able to do from 100 to 0 since it would take a good 8 hours I would think and a very large video file but I will see what I can do :)
Nice liked the tear down ♥️♥️✌️
Thanks😀
You are crazy gooooood .🤓💯❤
Thanks! :)
@JerryRigEverything is really sleeping on the s22 ultra...
lol, I'm sure hes working on it. Probably takes him longer with his editing and he does have better video editing/quality than I do so yep. I do mine myself not sure if he does his on his own or outsources.
@@PBKreviews lol I just mean in general lol!
Hey great video!! Can i swap battery of Note 20 ultra and S22 ultra. Would love to have 5000mah on my note 20 ultra.
I appreciate this channel over that other one that fills his pockets with the companies money he's in bed with. Straight forward video without political views or bashing of others ideas about what makes a good phone. It's refreshing to see no bias in your channels teardown
Thanks 😀
Nice to see there's not 15 different screw types like the iphone
I know, right?
Perfect video! Concise and straight to the point. 👈 👉 Why can't more instructionals be like this??
I subscribed just because this was so well-made that it was even interesting.
It's wild I can get content like this and not a damn battery test at this moment.
There is a battery test from mrwhosetheboss now. I will try to do one later if I can but battery tests take such a long time and I have a bunch more videos to do so I will see if I can squeeze on in.
Excellent
Thank you
Good videos you have. However, the manner in which you speak is very broken. Hard to listen. If you care about what we think, maybe try speaking a little bit less like a robot.
😄 ill try. Im just very mono tone.
@@PBKreviews the videos are excellent though. Very well done as far as information goes.
hey what did you use to reattach the backplate to the phone anyway? i am really intrigued with that
There is pre cut adhesive made for it like this one: www.ebay.com/itm/312270564385?hash=item48b4c6ac21:g:oPQAAOSwsB9idJXM&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4FRCns9XhkmMSmdnTqXJOnvqq3%2FxTdrZyJ4a%2FcuT%2FB9kzgq2w1F4f3Uuve3j3bxFj5Xx8D8HNsaa6p%2B2sWgSzFluftzlhNZzsNnXD3swU2QyhInBNTJk6NmVY%2FVGvv8r62kxFMqImCShCpFozMKDcndiybzGv2aMaQWXDkmgf1cvpjVjV%2B%2BWgh618ViqrhqkUKhAnq1Sf6%2BGm2NPyGDZ52J9YtpDp8IhIcExeyuh2mglq9%2FvycZx2OWFufSCZilu%2FCyUkIlTxp1yxIzq1OlzeOX3i9CvTR3J563f6wPfoUDD%7Ctkp%3ABFBM0KLRxslg

That was pleasantly fun to watch, Thanks for the video! I can't wait to get my new s22 ultra in.
You're welcome 😀
cant believe we pay 1200$ for a little iron and plastic
lol yup
"First the sim tray needs to be removed"

haha :)
Is that Size of the stylus same with note 20 ultra? Thx u

flawless teardown with minimal destruction!
hey there PBKreviews, is it possible to do a storage expansion from 128GB To 1TB in a samsung s22 ultra?
ALREADY disassembled lol
lol yup
If a hold the phone in a selfie stick or tripod, would the plastic cutout for 5g antenna under power button be damaged?
u crazy...🤣🤣...btw nice sir...
thanks! :)
You are fast
Apple is taking notes
:)
I searched for JerryRigEverything's vid on the S22 Ultra but he hasn't made one yet.
My man came through.
+1 Sub my man!!
Thanks👍
Did water make it inside the phone for thr torture test ?
Nope
Thank you very much for this Video. Is there any way to get something like a schematic layout?
Hi, you're welcome. Not sure how I would do a layout like that.
Over the years Samsung internals have become much more clean looking than it used to be
👍
Facts. Nice to not deal with the tiny antenna cables anymore
very good video brother, its components are different from the galaxy s22 ultra 🤴🏻🔥👍🏻wow💯✌🏻
Thanks!
I can't believe this smartphone is a Korean brand.
나는 믿을 수 없다 이 폰이 한국기업이라는것이
Most awaited 😭 awesome work sir
Thank you!
Oh my God, I tortured the phone and it's 1100 dollars, why brother, I'm very, very sad
😭😭
People want to see it :) everyone is asking for a drop test also, that's coming up next with a second S22 Ultra I have here.
You scratched the phone, what do you do with it after this?
Do you use it, or archive it, or give it to someone as a gift?
I really asked a strange question, but it's good to know!
please tell us .🙃
Usually I sell them locally as disassembled and as is devices or on ebay etc to recoup costs for future videos.
Very good you carefully removed the screen 😘
Yeah, I tried haha :)
How about finding the parts to fix the repair? How would you score it?
I put it in the score breakdown at the end of the video. 2 out of 2 since samsung parts are usually readily available.
Samsung Flag ship phones inside designs is too much different from medium rage phones but e.g use almost from same design but with better materials and specs but Samsung is very different no cable in phobe which is impressive. I think as you know there are a few inside designer in world which seal phone inside design to world phone production company I think Samsung e.g use from those companies design in M series and only design its flagship that why the levels of its phones designe is too much different.
yup
S22 series seems perfect in every possible way.
Now it's time to reassemble ... ﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿
haha :)
