Finally, I bought it today. Simply wonderful, even though now this ref comes out without “air king” logo on the dial. In my opinion the brand new Air king size 40 is awful because distort a symbol
Dominic Toretto Yeah you can get the same watch without “Air King” but the classic 34mm Air King is a watch with history. I think there is something cool about it being the same case size and having history linking with watches from WW2 and Rolex’s younger self. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine!
Great video! I definitely considered eBay. But was scared about authenticity. Can’t beat the pricing on eBay tho. Crown & Caliber and others are so much more over priced just for the verification
Hii I’ve a question. I have my 7,5 inch wrist and i wanna buy a new Rolex but i prefer smaller watches. OP 34 would be fit for me or Should I buy Explorer 36? Which size could be better for my wrist size?
I think that the 34 OP fits very similar to the 36 explorer. I would say that the cheaper option/the one you like better is what you should go with. I think 34 and 36mm watches look awesome on a large wrist.
Nice work with the review! And beautiful watch! Im just confused with the length of the hands, they look a tad too short compared to pictures on the internet..maybe its an illusion but looks a bit odd.
There is no way you can get it for that price today, which is so sad, the question here, is it still worth it going for over $5000 for a clean example? or it's just better to save up a bit more and get the Explorer 36mm
Beautiful watch.....I have a just under 7inch wrist and I've been eyeballing the Olive colored 114200.....I have the 16570 Explorer 2 and some other 38-42mm pieces.... looking for something smaller..but not too tiny....I can't decide between this or the 36mm variants....wish they made the Olive Green in 36
Alan Gill I think with your wrist size the 34mm will be perfect. It wears like a 36, and the real 36 wears more like a 38. If you can find the right deal, and the olive is the one you like, I say go for it! Thanks for the comment!
Jack On Wrist I agree; just today in the morning I went by a Rolex dealer in order to try the 114200 with blu dial 34mmand 116000 of 36mm. Cause also the new shape of the case , more massive than years ago, the 34mm seems fit like a 36 and 36 like a 39mm. However, I can’t choice yet. I have already a Explorer 114270 of 36mm
Hi , i have been offer an 114200 with grey baton dial and engine turned bezel , what are your thoughts please, does the smooth bezel look more classic ?
I am personally a fan of the smooth bezel. That’s just personal preference. But if you like them equal, or engine turned better perhaps, then go for it!
I have a photo of it in my instagram “JackOnWrist” if you are interested. I apologize. I totally forgot to put a wrist shot in the video. I have a 6.5 inch wrist for reference, if you end up going on my instagram to look at it. I appreciate your comment!
Jiří Krajňák it’s a very comfortable bracelet. It’s more of a feeling of solidarity, rather then out and out heft. It’s definitely a little heavier then the older bracelets but very comfortable nonetheless.
I wish they had not gone with Eurostile on the new Airkings. I guess it’s meant to look modern (after all Eurostile is the most overused font in science fiction films).

My first Rolex was an Air King. Classic watch.

Thanks for wearing the watch

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah it is a bit odd but something I didn’t really think about too much. Thanks for the comment!

As someone who now owns the 36mm explorer… at least a slightly older example (114270, 2007), I would say 100% go for the explorer
@@JackOnWrist definitely only if I could find the Airking for a great deal.
I have and I love 💔 Rolex Air King 114200 -2008👍👌💯

Hey buddy, May I ask if you still have the watch? Let me know when it comes time you decide to sell. Thanks.
Unfortunately I do not have it anymore and I actually am in the market for it again. I really enjoyed it.
Which ebay seller? The watch is gorgeous! Great price. What year is the watch?
This was a 2010. The seller is named redcarpetjewlersus10
@@JackOnWrist Thanks for the info!
@@gop305 Thanks for watching this video. If you enjoyed, please consider subscribing. It would mean a lot to me👍🏼
Where the hell did you find it for under $3k??? The cheapest I’ve found it is around 5k
during the first part of the pandemic when prices were really low
Now 6k in FS😬🥲
You forgot the risk shot! :-(
I’m sorry about that, but on my instagram @JackOnWrist i posted lots of photos of it on wrist

Just how hefty is it compared to a five digit reference? I'm all about comfort, and I love those shitty old Rolex bracelets for that.

Does it glow in the dark?
It does have lume on the markers.
Do you find the 3 6 9 indices difficult to see in sunlight?
Yes they showed very well in the light
What year is your piece?
2010

Are you referring to the “Air King” text?
Enjoy in health
