Tried this on and can confirm that it wears like a 36mm. This is a gentleman's watch, meaning it feels like vintage due in part to the size. It's funny because back when the Air lineup was introduced, men thought the 34mm case to be on the large size.
ty for this comment - I usually dont go below 35, but I love the white dial on this..
@@vicejewelers6965 I just picked one up and it's beautiful on the wrist, go for it!
Man if Rolex updates the Explorer with this dial... instant buy
Best AK of History
Nice watch and a nice looking dial. For those who hanker after a bigger watch (and by the way, you can barely tell the difference between 34mm and 36mm!), try wearing one for a while...they are very comfortable and in my opinion big enough for an automatic watch!
By contrast, a 39 - 42m case can be uncomfortable and heavy unless of course you are of larger stature. The other thing to reflect on is the amazing value of this watch. In the UK they currently retail at around £3400. A sub mariner non-date will cost you another £2300 on top yet both use the same 3130 movement (steel domed bezel and oyster bracelets)!!
This was the first Rolex I tried on was this model (except with the white gold fluted bezel). I fell in love with it then. This is nigh on the perfect watch. It's a great size and this white face and the 963 in black against that white is simple stunning.
The 34mm modern oyster case wears larger. Also this is one very comfortable watch to wear, it actually disappears on the wrist.
Honestly man, I just like hearing you describe these watches. You sound great. Lol.
Bang Bang Bo sounds very knowledgeable. very good speaker
Best Rolex of Universe
My favorite AirKing.
Damn, I need to buy this watch. Perfect everyday wear.

@@the1916company Thanks, but I'm only interested in the white dial.
I bought one of this with blue dial on the 8Th of July. Great watch in 34 mm

Me too
Is there a 36mm version for this model and dial color?
1:27 so wait you're telling me the 34mm air king is approximately 2mm shorter than the 36mm datejust? I can't believe that for a second
:0
Does this class come with the micro adjustment feature?
I’m sorry, clasp*
It looks quite big on your wrist.
Your a great salesman by the way.
Really dig this piece! Would a jubilee bracelet fit this particular model? I appreciate it was some time ago that this video was posted mind..
Very clear review. Well done.
Thank you, we're glad you enjoy it!

I own a rolex oyster perpetual 34mm 114200 is it the same apart from the name
Yes. Same thing.
The hands on the OP 114200 are longer than on the 114200 Air King
What is the difference between this one and 114200 without „Air King“ text. Seems to be the same
It's the same watch, no longer badged as "air king" as it has been replaced in 2016 with the new bigger air king
Darren Morris I found oute that the hands are much bigger and longer. Looks much better with the newer hands
Ah right didn't know that
Newer version of the 3130as well with the parachrom hairspring
if it had a 20mm lug width I buy find one and buy it now. Basically a Polar Explorer.
the domed bezel makes it look like a seiko 5
it's "professionnal" Rolex?
Great watch, but I wish it was 36 or 38mm. 34 is just sooooo small
True, but that's why Rolex does offer a 36. It's great to have options: I just hate when brands start axing choices... more is better, and most is best.
Best,
Tim
What sizes would fit on an 8 inch wrist using the original bracelet?
Of course your preference for larger size watches is definitely understandable I can say this watch seems to wear larger. I'm 5'10 260+ lb competitive powerlifter and I can say it has never looked small on my arm. I like some of my larger watches as well but this one is my favorite so far.
The new Air-King is just a busy version of the Explorer, which itself is already too big at 39mm. Besides, it just plain ugly.
It looks too BIG for you !
Not joking son, just a word yo the wise 😉
