I dont think we should introduce minilla/jr, because I know they wont. They already stated that Godzilla was the last of his kind and when he dies, they would be extinct. Theres no way for godzilla to reproduce unless they suddenly made him female and able to self clone like geckos
Kong and Gia were labeled the last of their kinds one movie ago 🤷♂️🤷♂️.. I think there's enough wiggle room that they could if they wanted to! I think they struggle to give Godzilla characterization, making Godzilla a parent is one of the easiest ways to do so.

The movies are the Godzilla movies, if Godzilla were able to reproduce or found another one of himself to reproduce with, we already would have found them in middle earth like Kong did. While I agree there is a tiny bit of wiggle room, I honestly dont think it even fits the Legendary movies, the other eras maybe, but we already had Mecha Ghidora replaced in a way, I reckon introducing Shimo is a similar tactic to avoid Jr and Minilla. (Also Minilla was just.... so ugly....) They're doing their own thing with Legendary, especially with the new titans like MUTO, and the titans native to other countries that havent appeared yet (Eg: Australia, with Bunyip.) I honestly think its more likely we may see Gigan in the next few movies than a Godzilla kid.
I think Minilla isn't actually Godzilla's kid, but rather a member of the same species adopted by Godzilla. They could retcon it that Godzilla finds Minilla/Godzilla Jr. and discovers he isn't the last of his kind, much like Kong in GXK, but that would probably be rehashing a plot point. I do agree that I don't think they would use one of these two characters, but I think it would be nice to see them (one of them, at least) again and I do think there would be a way to integrate them into the story.

They devise a plan to trap all The titans on earth will either be killed by humanity or casted out to the hollow earth with the exception of Godzilla (because he’s too powerful) The Xiliens will be introduced and they’ll release a “Kaiser Ghidorah” with an army of juvenile Ghidorahs underlings. Godzilla is getting his ass kicked and Kong, Suko, Mothra and Shimo are trying to find a way out of hollow earth. As Godzilla lies dying and Ghidorah is about to delivers the final blow, one last portal opens up in stone henge. Kong and his army of apes as well as all the other Titans trapped emerge. Godzilla Kong and the Jaegers of pacific rim have a showdown against Kaiser Ghidorah
I think they should introduce Destoroyah as the big baddy of the verse, but not as the main threat. Feel like he should be an endgame level threat with every movie building up to him (kinda like Thanos).
I don't mind the idea of building up to him... I just don't think the box office will sustain to do that...and even so.. how do you have him make different appearances that feel natural to the stories they'd be trying to tell? I think king Ghidorah would've been the perfect monster to build to.. have Godzilla lose to him... Then bring in all the monsters so they have to take him down in a final entry... But they blew that load 🤣🤣.. Godzilla loses in Toho movies... Actually I think the best Toho movies are when he loses!!

Feel like they're alternating/mixing up toho monsters with original monsters which is a nice touch. Storywise, nothing feels natural in the monsterverse (what's with the sudden tech jump from G14 to KotM to KvG? the ogygen destroyer literally came out of nowhere as a plot device, skull island is sunked, etc). No one cares about things feeling natural, just execute for the monsters. Can probably drop hints here and there in the movies and postcredit scenes (like Kong/Ghidora/Mecha), bringing up how the side-effects of the oxygen destroyer is bringing random mutations to animal species and titans (or radiation that even threatens titans) throughout the world that also seeped into hollow earth, lending to a planetary threat... This'll help showcase how devestating the oxygen destroyer was. The radiation would mutate any complex, organic matter (humans, animals, and titans) into a crustacean-alien version of themselves, making them extremely hostile. And in the end, all the mutated species from both the surface and hollow earth come together to become Destroyah. I literally just came up with this as I'm typing away right now lmfao, I'm sure there are a lot of holes, but who gives af. Would still love to have Destroyah as the endgame villain, but I agree, Ghidora could've been built up too. [Edit] And I have hope that they'll continue to monsterverse for awhile with season 2 of Monarch and a guaranteed godzilla x kong. But who knows lol

And I was like "Yeah these guys just don't understand what Godzilla can be... What this series can be".... Thankfully minus one delivered the goods. I had very low expectations going into gxk... Admittedly i found myself just turning off my brain and enjoying the ride haha.. my expectations out of the Monsterverse have certainly shifted... I'm sure they've looked at everything and said KOTM has themes and it didn't make money.... We stripped that all out... Just let em fight... Rolling in the money at this point.... I think it depends on the angle...in some shots.. yes... And it's even more evident with all of the super articulation figures they release!!!! But some times, it looks great..

Next movie needs to be a prequel from the Iwi’s ancestors’ perspective of the Titan War that led to Skar King’s dominance of Shimo (manipulating the Iwi’s crystal resonance technology), the genocide of the Gojira species, and Ghidorah’s invasion of the planet and his subsequent defeat and freezing. Fleshes out the story while maintaining the status quo so a proper sequel can come later.
Honestly I think Wingard would've been the guy for this movie...and I would be all for it... I don't think they're brave enough to make this movie... Although they 100% should... Imagine this in the hands of someone like Matt Reeves!!!
@@StubsWithJasoni’d say somewhere in the middle, i’m excited for the next godzilla thing, but i would rather not have kong in it. genuinely feel like they introduced the kong empire just so they can be used to sacrifice King kong or have the apes die. the franchise is cool, but because it is series thing now, it would make sense to leave one of the movies on a VERY Low note. instead of having the entire story rushed in one film. Maybe having a story that’s tied up over 3/4 movies.

@@weepie4089 1st time around on New Empire... I was very enthusiastic about it... I think it definitely has potential to slip pretty far down the list with repeat viewing over time... I definitely think kong's army is just there to be wiped out in the next one... I've enjoyed Kong having this arc.. would just like to see equal care given to a Godzilla arc... Was hoping to get a little more out of Skar King... gave me real "Age of Ultron" vibes 🤣🤣... I feel like I'd like to see this continuity wrap up at this point... Unless they deliver a really strong entry next...

Sure they fight together, but Godzilla HATES that Kong is not submitting or super respectful towards his authority? it’d be cool to see some sort of definitive ‘bend of the knee’ instead of the open interpretation of if they are friends or necessary allies. the next film(s) should be a stand alones for both monsters instead of trying to have them be “good cop”/“lizard cop”. Regrow some depth for the monster verse and have plots that extend beyond one or two movies. I disdain them dropping Chen after the G:KoM movie. I genuinely thought she would’ve been relevant in the Mothra plots moving forward. Jia is cool, but i feel weird that she communicates with King Kong AND Mothra? :/ there’s a lot of potential for Legendary making a substance filled film series, but GxK: NE has me a little worried.
