Lol I'm so freaking lucky that I found this! I have a project for school upcoming and just a few days ago I dreamt of effects exactly like this plug-in does emulate them! It's so amazing that everything got released just in time, lucky af :D Also thanks for all the AE videos, they're super interesting and helpful ^.^
@@brightgarinson3099 Not that well, actually! ): Worked super fine for me in the beginning, just followed this tutorial until it looked nearly exactly the same, played around with some sliders and then tried to animate the camera a bit. But then the Plug-In magically stopped working just when I was revisiting the finished scene to render it 1 day before I had to hand it in. Reinstalled both after effects and the plug-in literally hours (like 10 hours) before my bus would drive me to school. Ended up drawing a quick Kurzgesagt-ish 2D version. :/ It took me so much time that I didn't get to finish some other scenes, looked a bit messy in the end. If you wanna look it up, it's called "Berufswunsch Influencer?", has around 100 views and the 2D earth as the thumbnail. It's in German so you probably won't understand a thing but at least you can see the animations. Was my first time using After Effects, I certainly lacked some exercise ^^'
Well I just watched your finished version and it looks great. Unfortunately, I don't speak beautiful German but always be inspired with what you have rather than what you could have.
@@brightgarinson3099 Much appreciated, thanks. :3 I mean I'm still proud of it haha but it could've so much been cooler... Sigh, get what you're saying, though. Thanks for taking some time for me! ^^/
How did you get the moon to rotate and go dark at 7.39. I move my camera on composite looks fine rotates light to dark, but when I play back the earth expands as it goes dark?
You talk about moving the objects (planets), but with video co-pilot tutorial / trailer example.. he moves a Camera, not the objects... which is more logical to do ;) cause planets dont move that fast :P
Yeah, what I mean is positioning the planets in 3D space. Is the sphere small and close or large and far away. It's not impossible, but positioning hasn't been very intuitive to me with multiple spheres on screen.
Shit man I got 5 times bluescreen after ram previewing a composition included this plugin inside.. not recomended for low class spec under 8gb ram laptop/pc
Really? I saw on the forums that people were having trouble. The plugin surely locks up the system occasionally, but it still processed really fast. It is VERY ram intensive due to the large number and large distentions of the textures used.
John Joseph Hogan search up “after effects orb plug in” then click on first link then scroll down and download it... to your files. Then go to files, double click or more on the file then complete the task. Then click finish then BAM! It’s downloaded

Probably one of my favorite channels out there. Thanks and keep it up...!
Much love

@stolestone I have an idea. Get the saber plug from video copilot, the. Fill the planet with the saber!
For those squinting at the address bar: the free hi-res textures are at www.solarsystemscope.com Click on explore and select textures.

Does Video Copilot's Orb Work with Video Copilot's Optical Lens Flares? I am trying to recreate 2001: A Space Odyssey's opening
How did you get the moon to rotate and go dark at 7.39. I move my camera on composite looks fine rotates light to dark, but when I play back the earth expands as it goes dark?
How do you get the city lights across the planet surface? Does it come with the plug in or is this something extra to build outside of it?
YaYa Inspired you have to download it with the plug in
You can download a city lights layer and then set the layer mode to Add while having it only do the night side. The tutorial shows it so...
facing some problem : using CC : when I am changing the diffuse layer into the texture, the sphere disappear.
tengo el mismo problema alguna solución??
Please do an tutorial:)

I'm very young, but I've managed to make some pretty decent stuff.
