this week we are creating a space scene in after effects using Videocopilot free orb plugin, last year march I created planet tutorial, and this year march let's get that video to the next level ;) for spaceship I already prerender the footage for everyone, so you don't need to worry about modeling or animating it :) feel free to use it for any of your projects,

Good tutorial. Would be better if you had a mic though. Otherwise it will be a living hell for people who only have one monitor to follow along (luckily I have 3). But still, would be easier to follow along if you actually explained what and why you did what you did.

Thank you so much, deep glow is a third party plugin but you can always use default glow if you don't have it

The main VC ORB (the planet) doesn't have a transparent background and because of that I can't show the stars, do you know how I can solve it?

when i click in defuse my stars jpg, solid layer dont see this, if i take single watch this solid layer i dont see stars in sphere, i see empty, idk what i can do ;-;

Maybe you can explain me, please - why the "Deep Glow" effect on the "VC ORB" object makes it transparent, so I can see the stars through the planet?

VC orb plugin already alpha supported :) and also deep glow plugin usually giving you an option to change alpha settings in the effects menu. the answer is no, I use deep glow for better glow not for transparent :)

It turned out pretty cool after doing this but I can barely see stars throught the planet...otherwise a very helpful and awesome tutorial.

Are the project assets like the ship free to use?
Why when I move the camera it just moves the planet and never rotates it or reposition it. It is like it's a 2d obj
I think you are using one node camera, make sure in the camera settings you select two-node camera instead of one node camera.
AeMachine ok where can I find that? Camera settings
press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C if you are using win , for mac command+option+shift+C

Hears! Can you modify this scene ending with a zoom to the planet, as if the camera was pretending to be entering it? I need it for a short film, I can even pay you if necessary, please
download the project assets, file, and plugins, then just add the zoom effect yourself in the project file.

where can you find the deep glow flare in options of optical flare?
May Be It's A External Preset
Each time I duplicate the layer it takes me back to the default white planet
make sure you set the blend mode to screen :)
