    Nice work, man! You carried it a bit too far into a flare, but fortunately got away with no damage. All the best from the Two Bros team.

      Thanks! Yeah I was having a bit of trouble holding my pitch angle. I've since have the elevator just a bit more expo and for me, it's a bunch more controllable at slow speed.

    Thanks for showing the size comparison. Great 2nd flight. The 64mm is everything the 80mm should be.

      The 80mm is quite old at this point. I wonder if a v2 will come out. Still a very popular model

      I don't see any big difference - other than the gyro. A good experiment would be to install the EC20 in the 80mm. Or fly the 64mm w/no gyro. If it's the gyro, then no news, really. Oh, and have both in the air at the same time.

      @@fredmdbud one big difference is the 64mm sweeps wings with servos, while the 80mm uses retracts. I chose the 64mm mainly so i can fly it with partial wing sweep

    Hello--- I really appreciate your videos. I have question in the manual they have a note with swept wing set 140%. do you have your setup like this. I seen couple videos they said they dad issue wing didn't come back out correct and they crashed.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  9 месяцев назад +2

      I did adjust the throws but not to 140%. My wing sweep from the factory was not even. And it didn't go to full close. I noticed that the servo arms were not even so I mechanically adjusted the arms so they were even. Then I adjusted the pushrods for even throw. I started at full sweep back and adjusted the rods. Once I felt they were even, then I adjusted the throws. I did not end up at 140%. They were different numbers for each end. I treated it like flaps and adjusted it like I would of they were flaps. If that makes sense.

    I'd be curious to see where your neutral elevator position ended up after trimming... I'd be an aft cg would be beneficial on this if up trim was needed on the stock cg.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  9 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed. I'm thinking the same way... I want a few more flights to get everything tuned and to get comfortable with the plane. After that I'll slowly bring the cg back.. it'll also make the landing easier with more aft cg.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  9 месяцев назад +1

      Not without bypassing the gyro.... Only one channel of ailerons hits the receiver. I always start at book specs but I feel that I can increase the flaps much more than recommended. Pretty sure that stall speed will decrease with a bit more flap. But honestly, it's not hard to land. The elevator is a bit sensitive at landing speed. You can see in the vid I was trying to control the descent with elevator and it was bobbing up and down. If it was smoother, I think it would have been fine...

    Are you still having successful flights with your twin 64mm F-14? I have one that I haven't flown. With several others saying the model has issues, I wanted to see how good pilots like yourself are doing. Is she a good flying F-14, or is the 80mm better (when upgraded).

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  8 месяцев назад +1

      The 64mm has higher wing loading than the twin 80mm. Landing is more difficult than the 80. You need to land a bit faster than I'd like or risk a tip stall. That said it's a sweet flyer. It definitely taxes your batteries. 4000mah batteries get super hot. My 5200s seem to be a bit better. I was hoping to drop the weight down with smaller batteries but unless I find a (real) very high c 4000, I'll stick with above 5000. I haven't flown it much since I am still learning it and the wind and weather has not been great recently. But it does fly good. I haven't flown the 80 but my friend with one (upgraded motors) says it's like a trainer on landing and it's sweet all the way through. I'd say 80mm if you don't mind the cash outlay for the arf pro plus motors and esc.

    what's the fastest speed (mph) it can fly and what's the slowest speed (mph) it can fly without stalling out?

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  7 месяцев назад

      Couldn't tell ya. To get actual, usable numbers, you would need to use an airspeed sensor. GPS won't cut it. GPS, in my testing is about 3 seconds delayed and unless you are straight and level, the numbers aren't accurate. Which it won't be if you are descending for landing or if you have any wind (GPS measures speed in relation to the ground). I don't have an airspeed sensor on my F-14 and don't really feel the need to hook one up. If you want to do it, you can record a log of your flight and get those numbers yourself if your radio is capable of that.

    • @all_rc
      @all_rc  9 месяцев назад

      I don't really do much with fpv. But I did dabble. Zohd had some really easy and functional analog fpv systems. You can get a plane with camera, video transmission and flight controller with stability for a real cheap price. Also, goggles can get expensive but you should be able to find analog goggles pretty cheap. When I tried it, I found Quanum V2 goggles for 28 bucks. Not available anymore but you should be able to find goggles for under 60 bucks. If you don't mind doing it piecemeal, go to Amazon and search for an all in one fpv camera. You should be able to find a camera with built in video transmitter for under 30 bucks. Hook that up to your E-Flite plane with safe mode and you got a pretty decent setup for not much money. Fly with a spotter so if you lose orientation or signal they can help.
