@MichaelRasmussen-x4w . I've been snowmobiling actively since the early 1980s I've seen quite a bit. Carburetors that sit with fuel in them for even one off-season often as the fuel dries it leaves deposits behind . The small deposit the size of a grain of sand will restrict the pilot or, worse, the main jet causing a lean condition . Starving the engine of fuel causes hot spots on the pistons . But whatever 🙄 don't take my word for it . Maybe you'll get lucky. I wasn't. Learned the hard way ( the expensive way). And so did alot of people I used to ride with
@@robertmoulton2656 a dirty carb isn't going to melt your piston, running your carb to lean probably could. A gummed up carburator is going to make your big run like crap aka your not going very far very fast. Besides two strokes are cheap to rebuild the whole engine not that big of a deal bore her out and keep her pinned... Brap. You will smoke the rings before you melt your piston.
2 minutes of riding without cleaning the carbs = holes in pistons
What do you figure is in the carb steel bbs?
