hi Lynden ....just another comment...after reviewing this session ...you have really enlighten me with my practice sessions with all the scales ....this is FANTASTIC!
This really explains it well. Have seen you using it, but lacked the background. Might be worth linking to it in the descriptions of the other videos using it. Big thanks.
Thanks Lynden - I got SessionBand on you’re recommendation & it’s really good. But you’re also right that it’s not very intuitive or self-explanatory - could you do a quick follow up video showing how you add chord sequences to build up one of your 251 practice tracks for example? Thanks!
Hi Alfred, really pleased that you found it helpful 🤝🤝 I have a couple of videos in the pipeline but I’ll do my best to make one on 251’s for you too 🤝
Lynden you are really opening some doors for me and I am enjoying so many of your videos. Really appreciate your simplistic to teaching. Thank you much!
Good video. Can you do a new sessionband video showing how to create your own new full backing track from scratch? I want to create "But Beautiful" as a samba.
Looks like an interesting app Lynden! Think it might take me a while to get used to it especially without sheet music too!🤪But will definitely have a go..thank you for sharing! 👏👏
Thx for the SessionBand explanation - very helpful. Is there any possibility that you could upload your session band tracks so that we can use what you have already expertly prepared? (assuming, of course, that we have a downloaded a copy of SB already).
Hi Lynden excellent video explained so clearly ...I am a sax player also thought this was just the right tool to help me in my practice room .Went out and bought me an i pad just so I could get session band . But I found it to be extreamly annoying and frustrating because the moment I selected to put it on loop ....the whole screen changed and all the control buttons eg start and stop and go back to homepage ...all dissappered and the only way to get it to stop was to turn off my i pad ....any suggestions or solutions ? thanks for your help

19th Feb. How do you add another chord? If I want practice two or three major chord scales together. Thank you. I will have a go at working it out for myself. Your videos are an inspiration to practice. Thank you

Will I’m glad I’ve checked the RUclips video’s and caught your session band tutorial. I see they don’t use just minor 7’s without the 9th included. That was very misleading. I finely caught on but where are the Dominate sevens? For instance in a 2 5 1 what do they use for V7 chord going to the Major 7? A bit confusing 😢
hi Lynden....I sent you an earlier message ... how to use the backing tracks and where to find them on your videos ....after reviewing a few of your videos I found the video on how to use session band ....I am interested in blues and soul and jazz ...which are the best to download... thanks again Dale
Hi Dale, thanks for your message. I think they’re all excellent and not expensive so personally I have purchased all of them. However I really like the jazz ones and the funk and soul ones 🤝🤝
Hi Lynden, thank you so much. If the backing track is in a loop and each part may be just about 10sec. before it starts again exactly, doesn´t it sound boring? (How) can you build longer backing tracks, but keeping the key? Is it possible to show the sheet music the saxophonist is playing?
Hiya, thanks for the questions. You can extend the tracks and there’s some tutorials online. If you’re talking about the recording of the sax unfortunately there’s no sheet music as far as I know 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Hi Lynden, I've been enjoying your videos over the last day or so. Thanks for taking the time to make them. I wondered if you have any thoughts on the Tomplay sheet music app from the point of view of a beginner saxophonist? Again thanks for your work
Hi there and thank you so much for your feedback, it’s good to know what I’m doing is working and helping people. I think Tomplay is awesome, lots of people I know use it and if you’re enjoying it and finding it useful and fun then I think it’s great 👍
Very cool! Any idea how it compares to iReal b that is very popular? Also, I noticed you changed the key to Eb to correspond with the alto, but the slider still indicated “Tenor” sax? Is it always going to be a tenor sax playing in its key? I’m a bit confused by that? In other words, will I be able to play over it with my alto and not be conflicting with the tenor?
I’m not 100% sure what you are asking I’m afraid, sorry. 🤔 There are books called “Real book” that have the chords to lots of jazz standards, is that what you mean?
@@lyndenblades iRealPro had a package of 1300 ‘pre-built’ songs at their website, so you don’t have to input the changes yourself. You have a group of exercise, etc. you’ve made; it would be great to be able to import other people’s changes into Session band.
Grazie.
