loved your video! I have an insert fireplace with black metal around it. After I spray the paint, it showed drip marks. Did you experience this when doing your fireplace?
@Felecia. Thanks so much for your comment and question. I did not experience drip marks. What you might have to do is sand it out and then just apply a thin coat. Best of luck and let us know what you ended up doing.
Thanks so much for your comment. I hope your DIY project turned oh well. I hope you subscribe to Big Al repairs so that we can keep filming. Have a great day and thanks again.
@@andrewcpham If you're going to be using the fireplace quite a bit you might want to go with the higher heat spray paint. I know Rust-Oleum has a 2000 degree spray paint that might be a better choice. good luck with your DIY project and let us know how it turns out. I came here to say this. Tried this paint on my fireplace frame and the fumes are really strong. Your video inspired me to do the interior brick as well.
I would respectfully suggest you use a mask whilst spraying, i am sure you had black boogers after that. You should only use a brush inside the house because of overspray/toxic fumes. Also, wipe down the exterior fireplace with denatured alcohol before painting.
Thanks for the tips, at 2:38 we tell you to make sure your area is well ventilated and wear a mask. Yes, we should have but we can't go back in time now unfortunately

Thanks so much for your comment. We just use it for decoration so we really haven’t been able to tell if that is the case. Best of luck with your next DIY project and hopefully you subscribe to Big Al Repairs.
Did you READ THE CAN of Rust-oleum High Heat spray can? No. You didn’t. It clearly reads do not put in direct contact with FLAME.( only for the out side of the fire place or grill). Toxic. Before putting out a toxic Video Read and research.
This fireplace is only for decoration. It is not for use. There are other paints I am sure you can find for a fireplace if you are going to use it for actual fire. I will make a note of this in our description.
Also, the warning to spray outside is because of the toxic fumes. I have watched videos where this is tested with a blow torch. BTW, flames inside or outside are still flames. Before going off on someone being helpful, fact check!

That is when spraying only. It is good after 15 min. of drying.
