But the logic is to have a card that can at least always do something. That way, when you are making copies of a card, you don't have to ask "Hmm, do I want to copy my steel card, or do I want to copy my purple seal?". You can just do both, so that way you have a higher chance of drawing a card that can potentially be used in multiple scenarios, not just one.
@@sonan333yes but at that point he already had an insane card to play, being the polychrome stone card, sure it didn’t get a red seal but it still would’ve helped a ton with the polychrome and 50 chips

4:05 i actually just had an erratic deck run last night where early on i got Sixth Sense (spectral cards for sixes) and it gave me an immediate Wraith that gave me DNA. you don't gain or lose sixes, but you get Cryptid cards so i made like 20 sixes and played four of a kinds upgraded to level 12. the synergies in this game are endless.
edit: seed was L1PPSY8M on white stake erratic deck. skip very first blind for rare joker that gives sixth sense. on the first boss destroy a 6 for Wraith and get DNA. I don't know if stake or deck matter for seed but i thought i would include it.

He really didn't need to though, he was already doing just fine. He was more wanting to spend his money looking for ankhs and other things that would scale, rather than temporary big numbers that do nothing

The polychrome Madness looks absolutely psychotic and I am loving it
23:13 math nerd here, the way to figure this out is actually pretty simple, its just (however many characters there are) to the power of (however many slots you get). Iirc its just all letters plus the digits 0-9 for the characters, and the limit is probably like 10 or something? So thatd be 36^10, so around 3.656e15 seeds
If my math is right, that's enough to play one hand a second for just under 116 Million Years...
Seed length is 8 characters, not 10, ~2.82 trillion

TBH the run ended once you bought "more tarots" voucher, they were absolutely suffocating your pull pool near the end.
Especially since he was already drowning in them with the purple seal later
5:59 I believe only _shop_ jokers have the ability to be eternal, you can't get it from packs or the tarot card
That's been my observation too, which sadly means legendary jokers can never be eternal. Rip Yorick.

@tewigaming2537 eternal jokers I think are purple stake and above? You just need to keep beating the new difficulties on your decks (:
black stake and above. In the modern game you can get eternals, perishables, and rentals from the shop and booster packs. Tarot or spectral cards that “summon” jokers won’t be eternal
I have been bingeing your Balatro videos throughout the day, and then this pops up, never clicked a video so fast lol
One critque I would make is that when you bought celestial packs, you skipped instead of leveling up a hand. I know you can't sell the celestial card so skipping just wastes money. At least you can increase base of a hand you might not play, but it isn't a complete waste of money.
in some cases its to preserve whstever his last used card is, so that fool can copy it (e.g. death)
but if the last used card is bad then yeah definitely better to use the planet card

I had a great double stencil run earlier where I got lucky with some negative jokers so I was able to keep some slots open
i did double stencil bluprint the other day which was also absolutely wild but sadly that just doesn't go exponential, died on ante 11

Idk if you know about the mechanic, but just like how jokers can show up in the shop again unless you have showman, consumables like planets and tarots can't show up on packs or in the shops if you're holding them in your consumable slots. It makes it easier to hit things you need when you limit the pools

The main Issue with Just listing The seed, Is that It will Be different Depending on Whats still Locked, and What isn't.
Using the Same seed, But different Unlocks, will Result in Different things.

if you had upgraded and only played high card, it would have been better i think. especially with the eternal baron
Someone in chat mentioned negative playing cards and that sounds absolutely sick. Like the others they wouldn't count towards the hand size so if you pull them from the deck it wouldn't count and you pull an extra card. So hand size 8 + 5 negative cards would mean that you have a hand size of 13 cards which would cascade into Steel Card shenanigans or any other "still in hand" effects.
So if your deck consists of fewer non-negative cards than your hand size and the rest are all negative, you would just draw your entire deck at the start of each round? Sounds so broken
they should introduce a spectral card where you can select a joker & make it eternal, i think it would defo have a lot of use cases in normal runs
Hey, if you ever do the "typecast" challenge which makes your jokers eternal after ante 4, and you get the verdant leaf which debuffs all your cards until you sell a joker like I did, have fun, I love balatro.

I remembered there's another seed can give you 5 poly madness after ante 5 if you play yellow or ghost deck
Cool that ankh can duplicate the eternals. I wonder if it's theoretically possible to duplicate beyond the joker limit. Eg. if you get Perkeo to duplicate a bunch of anks, then swap it for an eternal joker and make like twenty copies.
Can I ask why you weren’t going celestial packs and such? I feel like a good mult start would be super useful right?

Cool seed to play. It could be optimised better and take advantage of strength and get queens, slower but its better than wasting money searching.

I ran this seed and took the seance and got 2 ankhs out of it. Unfortunately I already filled my setup with 4 mads and the seance so I couldn’t get 5 ._.

Ngl, this felt pretty scuffed for a seeded run, why no red seal transition for high card steel deck??? Could be an interesting idea to rerun this seed with a full steel build in mind, make the deck half purple seals half red seals.

I genuinely don't understand the refusal to take planet packs when chips are literally the only thing that this run was remotely lacking and planets are the only real way to get chips consistently.

i stg i can never make madness work, i tried it in an orange stake and got destroyed ante 5 lol
It only works with eternal jokers, it's not good enough on its own to carry your early game, and you cant really afford to feed i 3-5 gold jokers every turn either in early game. if you have a good base mult/chip eternal joker it MIGHT be worth going for madness.

I just tried this seed, there's a Baron pretty early on if you reroll the shop. Can't remember which one exactly, I'll have to try it again and check.
