something to consider on high card steel runs is that hand size jokers are more powerful than normal. An additional red seal steel king would have been more than 11x more mult, two of them is almost 130x

@@LiamGamingPcs1an additional red seal king applies a 1.5x mult multiplier 6 times on this run, twice from the two barons, once from steel, then again two barons and steel from the red seal triggering them all again. 1.5 to the power of 6 = about 11.4 the math for two cards is just twice as many triggers, so 1.5 to the power of 12, which is about 129.75
A chat mod that collectivrly keeps track of the Wheel Odds per run would make my RUclips viewing experience skyrocket. I live for chat emoting WheelNope!!😂😂

@@Franklin_JohanessanHe is incrementing his growth by (X+1)^2, (X+2)^2, etc which is polynomial growth. Exponential growth would be X^1, X^2, etc. If X were 2, 5 increments of polynomial growth would be 49, while 5 increments of exponential growth would be 32. However at 10 steps, polynomial would be 121 but exponential would be 1024.

exponential would be 2^x, which is 2*2, then 2*2*2, then 2*2*2*2, which is much faster growth than polynomial and it's actually how the blinds scale in endless mode, which is why mult jokers can't keep up
@@Piokoxer The blinds in endless mode don't scale exponentially, they scale by x^x^x, even faster than exponentially, so even a Perkeo + Observatory build (which does scale score exponentially) would eventually fail to keep up if it wasn't for the ante 39 killscreen

When the run died I feel like instead you could've just played all your non red seal kings and hope to draw more red seals. Each trigger adds a ton of value
I had Mr. bones save me against violet vessel
for those wondering, the negative joker copying baron was better than if it copied canio.
Assuming a hand of 6 kings where at least 4 were red sealed (which was pretty typical by the time he got to around ante 12), baron is 1.5x^(6+4) = 58x, which is better than his canios that were each 40x
Canio scales though. If you have 3 Canio's he can pivot into the tiki he gets later which is better later since five flush tiki w/baron on 2 kings + 3 Canios is more. (Primarily due to flush 5 just having way better base chips and mult)
Did the same run with ghost deck instead, got a glass polychrome queen deck down to 7 cards. Ended up getting 60x mults from double polychrome canio, got a brainstorm, and got retirgger face cards joker. the run ended at ante 15 with 6.455e18 being the best hand.
I miss good ol unseeded runs
I did this seed with the spectral deck. You’re given a Hex card so you start with 2 Polychrome Canios.
Playing the red seal steel spade (2^2, 4x) and having the purple seal steel in hand (1.5^3, 3.375x) for 13.5x was worse than playing the purple seal (2x) and having the extra red in hand (1.5^6, 11.39x) for 22.78x but I don't think that would have saved the run.
I think that the king of spades play would be better if smiling face was the first joker

I got a run similar to this yesterday
Double Canio from skipped Arcana tag and Spectral tag and then I got Buskin and the joker that makes every card a face card, had both my Canio at x27 by the end of the game with Card Sharp and Bloodstone on a almost nothing but hearts deck
Wish I had saved the seed it’s a super fun deck

As far as i know with the blank voucher, you have to buy it during an unseeded run to be able to actually proc the unlock for the +1 Joker space voucher

I did a spectral deck run on this seed and got them both polychrome from hex, got to like e15
The increase becomes quadratic, not exponential. Exponential would be if you got more and more canios. I know the word exponential is used loosely, but in this case I think a run that gets more and more canios is actually possible. (eternal + negative + Ankh, somehow? Maybe only with mods.) So the distinction isn't totally irrelevant.
I think your blank unlock might be bugged cause you play alot of seeded runs. You probably bought blanks in those seeds so its "counting" but not actually unlocking it

i got an unseeded run with an early canio and a naturally spawning negative pareiadolia joker and that trader card, i got to ante 14 that run it was fun

Is there a reason you're always playing 5 cards? For example 14:32 - adding the two extra cards to the 3 of a kind does nothing except deprive you of their gold boost if they remained in hand no?

On my first run on the abandoned deck I got a double Perkeo but I botched it against violet vessel 😭
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't some chip boosting helped a lot? You had an INSANE mult, but a chip value of less than 200
Great chip boosting in this game is about +200 chips for example from Bull. Other jokers give even less than that. So if he had 200 base chips another 200 is the 2x mult. In later anties it is nothing

i think its a bug, it counts for the total count that it shows, but it doesnt actually unlock it lol
But he's right. You can't get unlocks in a seeded run. It's probably a bug where it shows how many you bought including those in seeded runs, but probably just need to buy it in unseeded a few times
Just played this seed managed to get DNA and brainstorm as well got canio to like x86 was using polychrome red seal steel queens for flush five
The increase from 2 canio's being triggered a round isn't exponential, it's a multiplicative factor of exactly (2x+2)/x (where x is it's current multiplier). for Canio to be exponential it'd require a joker with a rule like "when Canio, campfire etc. abilities to increase xN mult trigger, trigger these abilities X times instead where X is the multiplier rounded down to the closest whole number. this would start canio off as X1, it'd trigger once on the activation going to X2, then it'd trigger twice on the next round if you activate it, so it'd be X4, then X8, 16, 32 and so on.
It's quadratic, not multiplicative, because Canio is a multiplicative card.
Edit: also, you cannot mathematically represent the increase from a second Canio with that function, as the limit of any function (ax)/x as x→+∞ is necessarily a, and the equation is inversely proportional; you are, in essence, saying that the value of scaling two Canios is not worth the effort that it takes, as the relative value of each increase decreases, which isn't true.

@@fyfrrez yes its squared in the sense of what it provides to the hand, i should've explained what i meant, the rate of which canio itself increases in respect to it's previous term is (x+1)/x, it starts at 1 goes to 2 (so (1+1)/1) then on the next trigger it goes to 3, and the change is once again (x+1)/x, if you double (x+1)/x due to having 2 canio's it becomes (2x+2)/x.

though thinking about it, skoottie most likely intended what you meant, i just misinterpreted it.

Yeah the game won't let you progress with seeded runs, I fumbled a great run, restarted and won but didn't unlock the next stake.
Played the seed before watching the video. I'm through Ante 12 with 5 aces in my deck all Golden and playing only high card. 3x Canio's at x46 mult.

It isn't exponential, it's a quadratic graph because the Canio's functionally multiply their multipliers together, so it's x^2
Because its the squares. So, you go from 2*2 to 3*3 to 4*4. 4 to 9 to 16. Another way to write it is (x)^2, which is exponential
Because the two multiply each other. If they are both x4 its not a times x8 bonus, the first one does x4 and the second one takes the new mult and does x4
