Pretty right, this run was broken mostly because double Perkeo and taboulet is cracked all the other ones were helpful but not insane
@@graeties Canio helped a lot too, keep in mind the fact that his cards were constantly being destroyed, it's his infinite scaling methodology.
@@emanueldehner7882Chico was also pretty nice disabling some boss blinds like the face cards, suits, or sell a joker one. but that is obviously very minor
@@verbfrombonsai8852 minor, but, in a way, crucial. Those bosses can single-handedly end an endless run, especially if luck is not on your side and you get NO boss blind rerolls, so Chico is practically a lifeline.
I'm pretty sure this chat had the highest density of people asking for mechanics to be explained just cause of the sheer density of obscure mechanics making an impact.
That, and it's a new enough game that people still aren't familiar with every joker/voucher etc. When STS came out, people were asking what each relic did on a regular basis. Now, it's second nature for most viewers.

I had that and the "all cards are face cards" and it was going well till i hit "debuff face cards" and my chips were mostly from scary face, so I couldnt keep up with the anti, even with vampire already at a massive Xmulti
I feel like letting Perkeo stack a bunch of wheels and praying for polychrome would have been the play, as long as you still had enough Queens left
I was thinking that at the end. Like there is pretty much no way it would have saved him but still.

Really wanted you to strengthen that steel poly 9 to a king after giving it a red seal.
disable from the legendary joker DOES matter on very large blind, it cuts the score requirement in half.
This run would be nothing without Perkeo and Oekrep

Genuinely an insane run, I just bought Balatro and I hope to one day reach these heights.
The real life lore of triboulet is actually insane and I strongly recommend y'all to look it up.
I'm pretty sure they don't let this happen, but if you are able to use fool to copy the Soul you could get all 5 at once.
The fool only copies tarot and planet cards. Soul is a spectral card, even though it can appear in arcana packs.
Can we give it up for the silent hero: Temperance
He made sooooooo much money just on temperance cards.
Instead of using the Death for Jacks, you could just use the Death for a King or Queen. That works for Canio (if you still want to destroy as a Jack), as well as Taboulet if you want to use it. So no downside of having it as a King / Queen instead of a Jack

Couldn't you have kept the Polychrome Steel 9, waited for duplicated Strengths and Strengthened it up to a Queen?
Edit: He did this later in the run with a Polychrome Red Seal 9.
they should add a card modifier called "positive" that doubles the effect of a joker but makes it take up 2 slots, that'd be cool i think
I had a run with trubalt and it was just red seal spade of queen flush fibe then i had the stone arrow that hives 50 chips for each spade and some other jokers

Next time you get perkeo you should leave wheel of fortune in the tarot card slot to see how many you need until polychrome
why were you deathing jacks instead of kings and queens? the joker asks to destroy face cards and jacks dont work with the other one

You answered your own question. The multiplier ability of Triboulet doesn't apply to Jacks, meaning that their only use is to destroy for Canio to improve its effect. Keeping Kings and Queens allows you to use Triboulet to its highest degree. Hope this helps

@seaoftra he was duping jacks to just shred them later if needed or change them into something else when he got desperate. He only ever needed 5 kings or queens to play a hand, so while he had a ton extra he was burning jacks for Canio
@@firesire3971 yes thats why i was asking why did he do that. Why not dupe queens or kings. There were plenty of times where he had queens and kings in his hand but he chose to dupe jacks, which dont work with triboulet

Still wondering why you strengthened the 10s and kept deathing jacks i get canio gives 3x for face cards but you were actively going for kings and queens

I think Chicot actually does retroactively disable the large blind bosses. It just quarters their score needed after you start.

Yeah but why doesn't it work though? I tried it with the same deck, same stake level, and for some reason (even if the other stuff is the same) I don't seem to get the legendaries from the taro packs

28:29 the reason he isn't finding hanged man or death, I believe is that only 1 of any tarot can exist at a time unless forced to exist via perkio or you have the showman joker. afaik negatives count toward that.

I ran a run yesterday in which i got a Perkeo from a Soul card. I ran the same seed back and i think from the same soul card i got a different legendary. Do they always give you completely random legendaries or did i find a second Soul? I haven't had time to test this.

It’s so hard to activate Yorick before losing because of the lack of joker slot. Chicot seems good but it doesn’t do shit besides deactivating blinds. Canio is really hard to use with RNG. Perkeo and Triboulet are basically the best.
Trouble with having all your cards glass is when they all start breaking.
So if you do ghost deck can you get soul in the shop and can perkeo copy soul??

You weren't finding the tarot cards you were hanging onto in the shop because without the Joker that allows duplicates, nothing shows up in the shop that you already are holding.
If you have the wraith card and perkeo it can be op cause after a while you will get a brainstorm and blueprint and if you do ghost deck on this seed and take a wraith if you get multiple you can eventually get brainstorm and prolly if you go far enough blueprint so 4 perkeo

honestly this run couldve been better if you just got better jokers in the shop
Just looked up every legendary, perkeo seems the best by FAR, chicot also seems insanely broken,
canio is difficult to get going past x8 but worth the reward and even x8 is insane.
yorick is whatever - X5 mult is very nice but no scaling on that and 23 discards is a ton so by the time you get there you could've easily boosted canio further.
triboulet doesn't seem that great because multiplying first isn't going to do nearly as much as multiplying after adding some fixed mult but I guess full houses go crazy. Also it's anti synergy with canio.
Edit: well I mean obviously they can all work together and do get very insane as shown in this video, but I still think triboulet forces you into the same strat as this video i.e. all red seal enhanced kings and if you don't then some rares can be more beneficial.

i've been waiting for him to realize that he never actually specifically needed to destroy jacks and could have been duplicating and destroying kings instead. i am 30 minutes into the run...
