Triboulet is the best card in the game by a mile. I had a polychrome, red seal, steel and glass king deck which I think is the very best deck you can have but I've never gotten a legendary in 40h of playtime which sucks.
Meanwhile I have the most boring, unremarkable runs possible whether I win or lose. Probably has something to do with not liking glass cards Edit: I did have some pretty funny runs since writing this
There are a ton of ways to have fun without glass cards. Had a 20 million point hand with a flush build. Just play more I’m sure you will get on an enjoyable run
It would be 1 more trigger per card if he flipped buskin and blueprint. 4x buskin x 2 legendaries = 8 triggers vs 3 buskin x 3 legendaries = 9 triggers
For reference, the number of atoms in the universe is currently estimated to be around 10^80 and his best hand was a bit more than 10^75. A ""bit"" more an he could have become a god.
Insane build. I wonder how much further this could have gone. Based on the wiki, he probably would have been lost at ante 24, when the chips surpass his highest scoring hand.
Crazy thing is, this is actually a suboptimal joker setup when tiki doesn't hit. If tiki goes for hearts, he needs to put blueprint in front of tribulet so that his mult doubles four times, and is retriggered four times (for a total of 16 doublings) rather than doubling 3 times, and retriggering 5 times (only 15 doublings).
Love reading all the different words people are using to describe the math lol. Someone was calling it triggers I was calling x2’s, doublings is a good one. Ideally ideally though it’s brainstorms on tribuoluet, blueprint on socknbuskin and you keep dusk

I dont know what this deck type is but balancing the chips and mult is insane. Surely there must be a drawback because for example 50*1000= 50,000 but balancing that to 525*525=275,265 literally more than 5 times more points for free.
Btw you missed the opportunity to repeat the effects of the face card discard 3 times to get $15 per discard. Throughout the run you could’ve had $100-200 more if you had done that every time, which could’ve helped in the shop

There’s enhancements: bonus, mult, wild, glass, steel, stone, lucky, and gold. There’s editions: polychrome, foil, holo. And seals: gold, red, blue, purple. The highest scoring card in the game would be a red seal poly glass, and highest in hand is red seal steel.

DNA would get you 4 copies on top of your hand size. so if you copied glass and had a lot of steel in your hand already then you'd have 4 extra triggers

We could have lived if our jokers were in the right order. We needed to swap Blueprint and Sock & Buskin. For anyone reading this, as a rule of thumb, we want to keep our number of multipliers equal to our number of triggers (or as close as possible). In this case, our jokers were adding four triggers and three multipliers (if Idol is active) to cards with generally fewer multipliers than triggers (almost all the glass was also red sealed). This leaves 5x3s and 6x4s, but we could have had 4x4s and 5x5s instead. That difference is an additional 2x per card, for 32x total. The difference is even bigger if Idol isn’t cooperating. Failing to make up the 4.5e50 gap at the end wasn’t the difference between base stats for Flush Five and Five of a Kind (the latter was actually better!), but rather it was the fact that the glass king of hearts had a better distribution of triggers and multipliers (5x4, respectively) than the red seal glass king of diamonds (6x3). Correct joker order would have compensated. The first hand would have won, and the second hand would have actually been better than the first! For anyone curious, the point cap on this run, with proper play (correct joker order and not prematurely glassing all our red seal steel kings) and a cooperative Idol, was roughly 4.7e79. The way it was actually played, 9.2e75 was the limit on the final deck and joker loadout. THANKS FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK! 🤦
Hey, just wanted to let you know that your joker placement probably wasn't optimal. Triggering all your cards 7 times (base + red seal + Dusk + Sock and Buskin x4) but only using Triboulet and The Idol to multiply three times equals out to 21 mult doublings per king. By letting your Brainstorms copy Triboulet you can get x2 mults per king equasion of 5 (2 Triboulets + 2 Brainstorms copying Triboulet + The Idol) times 5 (base trigger, red seal, Dusk, Sock and Buskin, Blueprint copying Sock and Buskin) to equal out to 25 mult doublings per king. There's definitely some argument to be made in using more triggers with Scary Face added to the equasion, but even then only activating the Triboulets twice feels like a sin to me.
