In Buddha Garden May 20th - May 25th 2024

The week began with more gentle rain and grey skies which were perfect for doing a lot of planting and weeding jobs. We’ve now got another basil bed as well as a mango ginger bed, partly planted with plants from last season. Both new and old plants started to grow very quickly in this weather. Its cashew season so several mornings we have been out collecting cashews. We don’t harvest very much each day but slowly the pile of cashew nuts is growing. The chickens seem to enjoy their new breakfast of cashew fruit. Then at the end of the week the sun reappeared but we are still not sure whether this means more hot sun or if it will give way to more rain suggesting that the Summer rains have arrived.
