Sweet video. It's so nice to be ablw to see where all the clips are before taking trim like this off. Thanks.

Can you get to the HVAC air control/recirculation motor with the radio removed? I lost control of interior air ducting and the motor it way in there.

I swapped my radio with oem new one with touch screen and map. Unfortunately sound is not working. Any idea?

I"m sorry I don't really deal with OEM swaps. Maybe it needs some programming?

Do you need to disconnect battery before doing this? Will the VW initialize a security thing or immobilizer when you unplug the radio?

I always say disconnecting your battery for this installation is not necessary. It will prevent serious damage if you pinch or cut an incorrect wire. But I am more afraid of damaging other electronics while reconnecting the battery.

Howdy! Would you mind providing me with the information of your device you used to reset the Airbags, I mistakenly unplug the Airbag light cable. Look forward to your message and thank you for your video!

Is there a fuse behind the oem radio?
If yes would it be relocated to your unit?
    Thx

    • @Enfig

The radio's power wire is fused at the fusebox. Some aftermarket radios have their own fuse. No need to add a fuse.
