- It's time for us to leave Los Angeles and fly back to the UK BUT that means having to travel through the notorious LAX Airport!
Having flown through LAX several times, Jason knows exactly what to expect and warned everyone of what was to come. Josh was disappointed he couldn't get a photo with the iconic LAX sign and the traffic around the airport was as bad as ever.
What happened from there though shocked everyone. Join us for travel day to London with a few twists and turns along the way.

Who & what is JJ Extra all about?
We're Jason & Josh, a British couple living in the UK who proudly suffer from wanderlust! After meeting in early 2019 with dreams of travelling the World together we were all plunged in to the chaos of a global pandemic.
Now, as we move in to the future we are making up for lost time and ensuring every day turns in to an adventure, fuelled by our love of food and an unhealthy (but enjoyable) addiction to coffee.
Over the last 2 years we have explored our beautiful home country like never before and in 2022 we have been lucky enough to start travelling abroad once more. Now our dream of travelling the World together has been reignited and this is only the beginning!

If you return to LAX in two years you’ll be able to return your rental car in one location where you’ll be whisked from the rental car facility to the Bradley Terminal in 10 minutes on trains that leave every 4 minutes.
On your next trip, the LAX people mover and consolidated rental car facility should be finished. No bus will be needed to get there. You will just board the tram above the upper level.
Looked such an epic adventure really enjoyed all your videos thanks for sharing lads ! ❤
Thanks Adam! Really was a trip to remember 😊
I haven't been on a plane in over 4 years, and the longer I go without getting on one, the less I want to ever get on one again
Bradley Terminal was majorly expanded over the past five years.
Very soon those shuttle buses will be going away, as will the facility where you returned the car - they're slated to open a brand new rental car center and a train that will bypass the roads going into the airport.
Well that is good to hear. Nothing worse when arriving in LAX after an 11 hour flight and you have to pick up a rental car 😂 thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed your American Journey 🇺🇸
Hurry back, we have 50 States to explore!
We will be back soon enough 😍
Nice report! Everything in the airport different except for the BA flight numbers. BA280 etc. I think they have used the same flight numbers for decades.
Hopped on a plane at LAX.
That looked like a nice smooth flight xx
Current now singing that 😂
Jason and sausagegate 🤣🤣🤣.
Glad you all had a fab holiday ❤❤xx
At least LAX didn't spoil the holiday for you, it wouldn't have been very nice if your last memory of the trip was LAX being awful, that would have been rotten. So glad you had such a good trip and enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for taking us with you. 😉😉
Jason had really said it was horrible but it wasn’t bad at all 😊 thanks for watching along 😁
Tons of Prets in NYC, not even a few in LA.
Yes, but they sort of retreated a bit during COVID. Boston had many but not anymore I think.
I live in Atlanta and every time I go to Cali, I've got to stop and get one more burger from In-N-Out.
I am going to have a 1hr 55min layover in LAX going to EWR from an international flight. Im actually wondering whether ill have enough time for my connection to terminal 6 since i just realized that we have to go through custom in LAX and baggage claim before the connecting flight 😑 if anybody ever gone through this situation please let me know. TIA
If you land at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, it will take no more than 20 minutes to get through immigration and customs, no longer than 30 minutes at most.when you are out terminal 4, 5, 6, and 7 are on the right side and once you exit Tom Bradley, you can walk from there to your connecting flight at terminal 6 HNF
@@laxer123 thanks for the response. So I assume I'll have enough time for my connecting flight. I was just worried about the baggage claim? Was wondering if there is a drop off baggage right after going out from custom towards the connecting flight.
@@laxer123Hi.. I fly onlu with hand luggage .. i will land on Tom Bradley and have 5 hours to get T3 .. Its enough of time ? and which floor is new connector with T3?
That airport is a hot mess!
Did you flying on 777-300ER aircraft? I know you flying on British Airways. It’s a very long flight. You didn’t flying on American Airlines?
LAX is a Lottery ! Sometimes it can be a Nightmare and sometimes you Whizz through. If it is your first time , Do your homework ! You would not fly to (Or Leave) , say Afghanistan without a clue of where you are going. LAX is Super Slick and people will help you . If you are going Downtown LA for the first time use the Flyaway Bus, anywhere else book the Carmel Shuttle Company in advance. Their drivers are worth their weight in Gold.
Yes very true, definitely a mixed experience. Sometimes the traffic in to the airport can be the worst but, especially if you have a rental car to drop off!
Over dramatic, don’t be a drama
