Can we please talk about the MASTER-CLASS concept and story Sam invented in, like, a day alongside his character?!???! The idea of humans being the ancestors/origins of an alien race (without any apocalyptic, dystopian tropes), with a descendant wanting to return and exploring post-modern human civilization is REFRESHING!
To me, she looks like an exiled princess descended from Shreck and Ariel who is cold and looking in to a house with a happy family, just like the one she was kicked out of.
The fact that you're able to make a beautiful oc based off of your least favorite things... is mind-boggling. 😵💫 You're an absolutely incredible artist and the stories you come up with for your characters are perfection ☺Thank you for inspiring me!
Started drawing two drawings ago because of this channel. Turns out I suck, who knew, but I'm having fun and I feel significantly further than I thought I could go because of simple tips here. Every day I'm blown away by how I took an hour to do something simple when it could have been done in a half a second with a different layer or different brush. Found out I suck at eyebrows, my hair is bad but I enjoy how much better it looks than a week ago, and my eyes are.. Awful and dead inside. I appreciate and enjoy every video put out, since they're not only inspiring me to draw more but showing me things I never would have known without watching.
@@sael5084 to be honest practicing is easier based on what background u are, by background I mean your style of drawing if u are used to draw on paper u will find it easy to practice on paper but if you are in sync digitally u will find that more easy. For me it's paper cuz I have been drawing on paper for about 12 years now but now I want to make my carrier in digital art so whenever I want to draw I will first draw it on paper and then digitally it gives me even more options to practice
I have to say, this is encouraging. A lot of the time young artists tend to stop halfway through the process of creating because it looks... well, bad. What they don't get is that it looks bad because it's unfinished. The fact that towards the end you got emboldened by how good you made it look, little by little, enough to elaborate more on the stripe design? That was heartening. Trust the process, guys. You complimenting your work as you go is an excellent exercise in building confidence, and every artist should do it.

Sam is so incredibly good at art that everytime I watch him I get super motivated to draw… and then after two hours of just being terrible I go back to hating digital art until his next video comes out🙂

Honestly what i would love to see sam do again is trying different art apps and i want to see him try ibis paint and wonder what he thinks of it or a Chellenge if he can draw on his phone with his fingers. And as always this was so good, i really enjoyed this!

One very interesting chalenge is opposite style chalenge by describing your drawing and coloring style and trying to do the opposite. I always find this chalenge interesting to watch and it makes us explore stuff we might have never thought of doing.
The full-body design almost gives it a Space-age Tribal theme. Like they used to be part of a technologically advanced society, but their migration from Earth to this planet took it's toll on their ability to rely on technology.
In the intro I def could hear your lips like popping when you opened and closed them just me?😂😂😂😂 Your art is amazing and you have really great tips you have raised me as an art baby and I do appreciate it, I love your videos and can’t wait for more! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I JUST GOT DOUBLE TROLLED 😂 I've seen this video like twice before? so I was pretty sure this was the one where he trolled us with the audio thing, and so when I opened it and there was no sound, I JUST WAITED BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD COME BACK ON and it didn't. and it didn't. and I'm like "I don't think its this long?" turns out I had my computer plugged into earphones and I didn't notice 💀 sam just trolled me twice 👏

Hey Sam, since you’re doing all of these challenges with unique skin tones, mind making one with a darker skin tone? You don’t have too many OCs with a dark/colored skin tone, so this would definitely be a nice challenge.
Wow, this entire comment seems really backhanded and seems to subtly be trying to make him seem racist, which he’s not. Just like how a person doesn’t hate men if all they draw is women. Sam knows knows and *has* draw people of a darker skin tone in the past, but he doesn’t draw them as often. Doesn’t seem like much of a challenge 😂

Y'all people who are very new to Art or just genuinely struggle sigh making the eyes look, Always add Highlights to the eyes. The Highlights are the little white dots in the eyes. Those highlights are what makes they eyes ✨ P o p o u t ✨. Even if you like to make your characters look Emo, Edgy and Heartless, You still have to add highlights. It's one of the things that make the eyes look really good or pretty :) Hope this helps.
