At that time it was quite easy to make, because in our country there were lots of cheap used raw materials available, but looking at your country it seems very difficult, because of this you should be proud of it. Just watched The “Flying Scraps” of Africa Helicopter video and now this … They remind me soo much of my childhood, tinkering and building … putting things together and taking them apart, building and dreaming 😊 … Imagine what they would achieve with resources and support, if they can do this with almost nothing, they will build and captain industries with unlimited resources. @@DarthABBA Surprisingly it was the guy who made the helicopter who got it to fly. He just didn't know how to fly a helicopter and crashed it due to dynamic rollover. The rest of the aircraft are cargo cult imitations and if you hear what they're building them out of it kind of destroys the "they don't have any materials" myth that always gets used to excuse the world's worst engineering. Some of those 'planes' used fiberglass and carbon fiber, which are advanced materials. Compare that to the wright flier which was bicycle parts and balsa wood with a tiny engine strapped on. It's hard to invent when you can't picture a 3d object in your head and then rotate it.
