Talking about wacking your hand, my kit would be a blood spatter analysts dream come true!and the part about guitarists is spot on as well ,I struggle with my bassist and lead guitarist too busy worried about their looks most of the time rather than actual playing...*Ad Drummer seeking new band here*....
Don't worry man, I feel your metaphorical and literal pain. I have actually never hit my knuckle on the snare in the four months I've been playing drums. I have smacked myself in the face only twice, but I have hit my hands countless times. I always want to play my drumset after seven thirty, but that's the latest I'm allowed to play.
Too real, i also hate fingerprints on my cymbels, also you forgot "people touching your kit whenever they see it". that happend to me more times then the amount of heads it costed me to replace after they playd it like maniacs
When a crack begins to form in that sweet crash cymbal you bought (it seems like) just last month............. Also, when your guitar player has to learn the skill of dodging sticks that fly out of your hand for no good reason,,,,,,, The stick to the face was pretty damn funny..........
When auditioning a drummer all I ask him to do is play a blues type shuffle, with 8th and 1/4 note high hat, if he can do that, he can cut it. Funny video man! Lol its all true! One thing I have learned drummers hate is if you tell them, to control their volume (how hard they hit their drums) they mostly all think its taking away their creativity, Lol then you got the ones that just tap their drums if you ask em to play louder they say, mic me then. Lol . I love drummers, used to be one till I realized its hard to write a song with a drum set. So I learnt a few chords,
I've made it a point to let professional drummers inspire me but it is discouraging at times watching the child prodigies. The last one is real for me also.
1:09 ahh man, thats when you grab two sticks and use them for extra leverage
Thats what i do😂
Y'all are fooking genius's
The struggle is real
Chris Gutierrez Extremely real, man
you should rename the video to: how to make a 1:00 video last 6:10.
This is ridicculously accurate. Thank you!

Resisting new expensive equipment and realizing how expensive most stuff is
Guitarists feel the same about drummers playing when we're trying to tune.

Trying to loosen hardware is a real bitch when you're a petite 🐣!
Shame on me, I noticed that the bass line from 0:49 to 1:03 is from Garage Band
For number 3 i just use drumsticks
Hit tightened hardware with old sticks, it works easily

Is it just me or the fact of knowing you’re going to be drenched in sweat even playing the most simple beats a complete turn off ?
