Awesome! Those fellas have a badass factory and the product speaks for itself. Been looking for something for the Suburban that would speed up our camp strikes in the morning!
Great video. Great product. And funny, the Larry guy doing the install is a close family friend that I haven't seen in years. We consider him and his parents family to us and are the reason my wife and I are together for over 32 years. Absolutely incredible to see him in your footage.
Ok… Was not going to add a roof top, but saw Justin’s GFC and liked it. Thought I did not want one that would take away from taking the hard top off. But this on the Gladiator… that works. And(!) that you can utilize the bed because the detachable roof top bedding… yes!!!! Love the set up you imagined m, and I dig the lights a whole lot.
Another great option is the Harker Outdoors EDC built in Bountiful Utah. The GFC and Alu-cab require crawling through the tailgate rear hatch area. Also on the Harker, with the visibility package, allows the inside rear window to tilt out to clean the Gladiator’s rear window.
I really hope manufacturers understand the importance of videos like this. The overland and off road worlds are rife with knock offs, cheaply made crap, and built in China sub-par items. Being able to create and maintain buyer confidence in your brand and product really goes a long way these days. This is especially true when wait times are (for some manufacturers) over 6 months. Putting down such a large amount of money on a product you're not confident in, from a manufacturer you're not confident in, is a non-starter for many of us. I've been looking for an adventure topper for my truck for a while, and GFC just shot from the middle of my list to the top, by creating confidence in their product, process, and people. As a consumer, thanks to both Shawn and GFC for making this vid.
Glad the video was helpful! I really like seeing more products in this space built in North America and with quality in mind. Living out of my truck so much, good quality and service for the parts I run are a must. Cost is less important to me than quality and supporting small companies.
I almost went with a GFC on my Sarge Green Gladiator and I went with a smart cap lol I got a great deal so no regrets. Nice to see someone have one and switch to a GFC. Also that green looks amazing.
One thing I would recommend to help reduce drag is adding a wind fairing to the front of the camper right where it hangs over the cab. That little gap creates a wind drag. Similar to the fairings on the front of frontrunner roof top racks would be perfect
Very cool... I will be most likely buying one of their toppers. I need a way bigger tent tho. If they had a tent closer to king size that folded out I would buy it.
Nice video! We reached out to GFC as well, but unfortunately the setup is currently out of our reach right now. We are definitely going to go clam shell option late this year or next year. The time savings is worth it in my opinion. Look forward to seeing how it holds up and hopefully we cross paths in the Cranbrook area one day!
Not sure if you follow Arkansas Offroad, but check out how he did his bed on his Taco with that tent setup it's pretty dope. Looks great and kinda wish you weren't going to change your color cause I love the sarge green.
No flipping way, you and Nate both with GFCs now? That's the best thing ever. Can't wait to see both your buildouts. Keep an eye out for #3684 on a black ZR2 ;)
They employ about 60 people to make these tents 100% in Montana instead of overseas and employing no one. So I don’t think there’s anything wrong with running efficiently.
I look at it like this: I live out of my vehicle 25% of the year or more. I need certain functions out of my truck and if it makes my life/work easier, it’s not so much of a cost. For many it may be out of their price range/overkill, and that’s totally fine. I’m not trying to sell anything here, this is just what I’m using for me. 👍🏻
@@TheStoryTillNow Brutha, for you this totally makes sense, and dont get me wrong, it is an amazing setup, and I wish I could afford something like this, for me, it would be a lot easier to get in and out of with my legs in the shape they currently are, if I could bring a small ladder.. Its just too expensive for the average person, granted it is cheaper than a camper.
I'm an early adopter of the tent #162 :D. Definitely happy with it and a fan of what they are doing in the "Made In USA" space making manufacturing relevant again.
Couple interesting things they are using Haas automation machines cool!! US based company 👍. I like how he said "programming the V10" 🏎. Pretty cool setup, the next evolution of roof top camper tents. Cool.
Reminds me of my Computer Automated Systems days. Those UR robot arms are used by small and large companies and are quite Universal . I guess the safety is having bigger arms than the robot.
I love this style because we have two American Bulldogs that go with us everywhere. I love the fact that we can sleep on top and they can crash below. They are big babies. It’s between this and the Alu Cab. Did you consider the Alu Cab?
Great videos! I have GFC build #4482 myself. I see that you have your Maxtrax mounted on the outside of the side wing. What are you using to mount that?
Great video! I am considering the camper topper for my Gladiator. How high does the top of the pop up measure from the roof of the cab, with out roof rails? I'm wondering if once installed I'll still be able to park in the garage. I have about 9-10" to play with.
Damn this is everything I wanted my GFC install Vlog to be lol. Good stuff, bro You ever make it to Colorado let's hit up some Gladiator/GFC Adventures.
How is that spare mounted and is it working for you? Mounted using the bed anchors? I have my 37 mounted similar I’m just worried about the stress on the bed anchors and GFC frame, but this in depth video reduced my concerns
Curious you went with GFC over Alu Cab which is sold locally for us at Cap It. What were the determining factors to go GFC over Alu cab? Weight? price?
I’m not a big fan of the Alucab, it’s heavy and bulky looking. One of my main things with this build is trying to keep it light, which is why I’m also doing aluminum bumpers and skids. The GFC is simple, light, sleek, and also made in North America. It was a simple decision, the Alucab was never even considered.
I actually dropped my camera during this trip and damaged it. I got a new camera but I think there is one more video with the specks in it. So annoying.
@@TheStoryTillNow oh no that's the worst! Been there. My wife dropped my g master lens and the filter ring is wrecked. She feels so bad but it's all part of using the gear to make magic.
I love the fact that it’s fully designed and manufactured in the US! Looks like an amazing product.
As a military Supply NCO that level of organization and systematic movement just gets me all excited.
I’ve seen them on vehicles in other videos. But after the tour you know you’re getting a real quality product. Best of all MADE IN AMERICA 🇺🇸
Montana is a great place with great people.
Total game changer for you sir. I love my Go Fast RTT.
this is spectacular, and the price is fantastic spectacular too. Since made in American and American labor them cost like gold.
We are about to update our gladiator and I’m on the fence GFC or RSI smart cap. Great to see how the GFC was made!!
This is a serious operation. That is freaken impressive.
Awesome! Those fellas have a badass factory and the product speaks for itself. Been looking for something for the Suburban that would speed up our camp strikes in the morning!
Sweet Jeep! And cool to see the update on GFC’s production since I got mine a couple years ago.
Great video. Great product. And funny, the Larry guy doing the install is a close family friend that I haven't seen in years. We consider him and his parents family to us and are the reason my wife and I are together for over 32 years. Absolutely incredible to see him in your footage.
That’s awesome! Larry is great.

GFC doesn’t require climbing through the bed if you optioned the doors on the tent

Yep, I sold my RSI and picked up a GFC Camper last month, I could not be happier. You have a great looking truck.
Thanks!
That is an Impressive factory! Thanks for the tour!
Very nice! That’s the best gladiator cap/tent option I’ve seen to date. Congrats!
Thanks! I agree.
Amazing work sir. Love the fact that you help support small business and help them grow.
I definitely want to support these kinds of businesses that are making great products for the overland space domestically.
I am GFC #252 cool to see David and all the all the new changes you made a great choice great company super solid people !
I'm happy for you that this build is coming together! I love what you've done with it so far.
Lots more to come!
Probably one of the best RUclips videos on the GFC campers , watched every minute.
Thank you!
That was really interesting to watch how it’s built and looks awesome on the truck!
Total. Game. Changer. That setup makes me want a gladiator. Looks great!
Absolutely Awesome! Looks great and really enjoyed the walk through of the Facility!
Thanks!

Great video, Shaun. Really enjoyed seeing a "behind the scenes" of an equipment maker....I can see why you chose this canopy/tent.
Thanks!
Wowwwww, exactly, these off-road vehicles are awesome
Way cool may man 👌🏼 Hey you got a link to those LED interior lights that you used in the GFC?
Yes please add the link, thanks

I'll never complain about price again. They do great work. Now I'll start saving my pennies.
If I was ever going to get an RTT, this would be one I'd seriously consider. Thanks for sharing.
The standup interior is the "Westfalia" option. My pop up VW has it and it makes a huge diff.. I like these factory visit vids.
Thanks! This one did well so far so hopefully I can do more.
Man I love the GFCs! If they made one that folded out bigger to fit my family like the size of the full size iKamper I’d get one for sure.
You check out AT habitat?
there are lot of them similar idea. another one manufacture got me interested beside Alu - Cab , is the Skinny Guy
Man this so sick!
I saw you in Quesnel with your gofast on. Looked sick

I haven’t really noticed any drag or noise so far.
Nice tent.robot arms are super cool !!
Looks awesome, Picking mine up in 3 weeks can’t wait!
You will love it!
Excited to see how you build this out. What a game changer
Thanks!
That looks SICK!!!
Awesome to see the BTS. Setup looks awesome with that lighting 💯💯
Yeah the lighting setup really is great.
Made in America! Thank you! Great videos as always!
Quality at its finest
Freaking love GFC
This is definitely the move for my Gladiator. Sweet vid Shaun!
Thanks!
Got us a GFC as well for the same reasons. So far love it!
Sick setup!! You're the best

fantastic

I have one on my Diesel Gladiator. I also have a 40 gallon transfer flow fuel tank inside of it, so I can go 1000+ miles without gas stations.
That’s awesome
I’m surprised you didn’t get one sooner. Def getting one for my Gladiator soon.
I honestly just didn’t even know about it until this year.
Looks super sick. Good choice
Very cool. It will be interesting to see how it works out over time.
Yeah!
Good show
Not sure if you follow Arkansas Offroad, but check out how he did his bed on his Taco with that tent setup it's pretty dope. Looks great and kinda wish you weren't going to change your color cause I love the sarge green.
I met him and saw his truck in person. His setup sold me on the GFC it’s incredible.
the camper of my dreams!! 😍 Nice vid Shaun!
Thanks!
Super good video! I really hope you don’t color change the Jeep when you wrap it. This color looks so good on the Gladiator!!
Yeah.! Love my state. MT
Impressive. Great setup.

That guy is so proud of their replacing humans with machines. Reminds me of a couple of Twilight Zone episodes.
They employ about 60 people to make these tents 100% in Montana instead of overseas and employing no one. So I don’t think there’s anything wrong with running efficiently.
Great video Shaun.
That is quite the tent.. But I am gonna bet they're expensive.. us poor people can only dream about owning something like that..

Yeah it’s pretty cool how they make it all and right in Montana.
that's awesome! Great insight!
Dawn,
May I ask you about the tyre size , brand and body lift on your gladiator?
Reminds me of my Computer Automated Systems days. Those UR robot arms are used by small and large companies and are quite Universal . I guess the safety is having bigger arms than the robot.
Japanese inventory system: from a US guy named W. Edwards Deming : Just in-time inventory system, the Japs added to it a little.
USA.
that was a cool video shaun!
Thanks!
Great video
Can u let me know How many inches it is closed from roof to top of piece that is over the roof? I wanna try to be able to get in my garage
I love this style because we have two American Bulldogs that go with us everywhere. I love the fact that we can sleep on top and they can crash below. They are big babies. It’s between this and the Alu Cab. Did you consider the Alu Cab?
Can you get bug screens for the lower unit ? And why this over a Alu Cab ? Price and Weight ?
Kid in a candy store…enjoy it.. very cool
I wonder if gfc can integrate their rt tent into van top..making it look seamless like it's part of the original roof.
Always so awseome to see how something is built! Looks so good!! Do they make a mini one for my H2......lol
They make a lot of different sizes but I think the H2 might be a tough one lol
Great videos! I have GFC build #4482 myself. I see that you have your Maxtrax mounted on the outside of the side wing. What are you using to mount that?
I didn't see the light info in your comments?

@@TheStoryTillNow haha right on man! Have fun, it’s a game changer.
The look on your face when you were playing with your "mood lighting" made me laugh. Looks good though
I did geek out a bit over the dimmer.
I'm jealous! Now we need one :)
We reached out to GFC
I love it 😊
Nice! I can't wait to pick mine up. Where is the light kit from I didn't see anything about it in the description
I’ve added a link

I haven’t yet
Great info. 👍 💯
🚙 look mighty SPIFFY ‼️
WOW.....SWEET, all ya need is a COLD ONE👈😉😁✌️
Awesome video. I love my gfc! Where did you get those lights? I don’t see them in the description
Updated with the link!
how easy is it to remove the camper since it's professionally installed?
since you can stand - get a pressurized water tank with a hose attachment and you can shower in your truck bed
Awesome vid as usual Shaun! What rocker guards are you currently running?
EVO
@@TheStoryTillNow thanks!
Looks a lot like the AluCab Canopy camper/cabin🤔. There you get a rear door to get in. How do these compare price wise with the AluCab product?
You’d have to look that up I’m not sure. These ones are around $8000.
Nice content
cool!what‘s different vs Super Pacific x1? thanks
It would be really cool if we could get an update on how the camper is holding up after a year.
I will definitely keep you guys posted.
Curious you went with GFC over Alu Cab which is sold locally for us at Cap It. What were the determining factors to go GFC over Alu cab? Weight? price?
Probably cause he got a deal from them to do a tour and advertise their product, or that they are much lighter and rated for off road race truck use.
Also to support an American made product.
