This camping/overlanding setup is one of THE BEST I HAVE SEEN YET that perfectly balances overall bed weight (i.e. keeps good driving range!) versus inherent functionality along with some very nice home-comfort features at a decent price that lets you keeps your entire truck plus camp package to around $100k or even less!
I am VERY impressed with this setup!
GREAT JOB !!!!
V
Awesome setup. I wish the owner many years of adventures and fun with it.
Overlanding: always outdoors. Sleeping, eating, washing, going to the bathroom - regardless of heat, cold, wind, sun, hail, bugs - wife says no.
😳😆😆😆👌🏽
Oh I'm sure she'll let you go overlanding while she stays home.....
East to alternate to please the wife . 1 day camp next day lodge . Maybe ?
My wife says same , she would rather go glamping.....not the same.
🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic setup and serious awesome looking gladiator!! love this guys transperancy , being straight up and not bragging, just a man very proud of his work.
Thank you.
Americans don't brag and that is one quality of Americans admired over the world.
That Alu Cab isn't something I was interested in before, but this setup has me rethinking that. There actually is a lot of space in the back even with the 37" tire back there. Plus can still fit in the garage, very nice!!!
Guy needs his own channel for this jeep
I've told him this....
This is the perfect overlander setup. Thanks Joey and Andre for the review. Bookmarked!
Empty space where spare was aux diesel tank to feed heater or transfer to main tank ?? Just thought
Congratulations, Joey! This is easily one of the best Gladiator rigs I've ever seen!
1st time I could ever imagine owning a Gladiator over a Wrangler. Love the looks and great job both of you guys with the review. cheers
Excellent build. Simple, yet fully functional.
How much does it weigh ❓❓❓ Trip Ready❗ (all in - full fuel -water - food - people et al) THX
Nice setup.
90K for all of that!!! holy hell. My Stealership wants 80K for a STOCK Rubicon!!!!!!!
Prices have gone way up I bought this just before it went crazy. I paid 56,000 brand new.
Very cool truck. A 37” spare does fit under a Gladiator with 35 lbs of air in it. I’m running mine that way.
I think the reason the guy said he doesn’t store it there is because if he got a flat it would be a pan in the butt to try to wrestle it out from under. I can see how that would make sense especially if one of the rear tires went flat.
Ive got a 39” KM3 under my gladiator with the same amount of lift he has. Changing a flat requires a jack already so its no big deal to change a flat
My dream rig? A Unimog camper, equipped with ultra hi-tech hover craft capabilities and invisibilty cloak impervious to EMP attacks.
Very nice setup. I got one like how it flows with the truck. It's not sticking out too far and the ease of being able to set so quickly at a chosen camp site is a definite win for me.
Awesome setup that I aspire! My Alu-Cab Explorer Cap is top notch quality and very handy but that camper is next level!
Such an awesome truck and owner. Definitely something I could get in to when I retire
The Jeep Gladiator is so Unique and cool looking. I absolutely love them.
i had only seen stock ones, and thought they looked terrible. Only after seeing one built did i start to appreciate these.
This guy nailed it. It is almost exactly what id build and i really dig the gladiator platform. nice!
👍👍👍👍👍Heads up ,I think someone is using your channel to scam people, I recently went through the same problem with another guy's hunting channel.saying I been selected for a prize.
It’s an incredible build but how do you stay in GVWR with the diesel’s puny payload?
I'd like to know this as well.
450 lbs for the Alu-Cab and around 400 in gear. 2 people ( under 275 combined plus 35 pound dog ) the dog owes the whole back seat.😁
@@joeyparent9952 ~1160lbs, you are close or a little over... you're not including tires and suspension in weight.... Have you experienced any kind of derating or overheating in the diesel?
@@troutriver58 no, the Gladiator runs great and with 488 gears it doesn't struggle up I70 at all.
Great Build! The Alu-Cab set up seems perfect. Have a great Overlanding Season with it!
Cost less than a founders addition Cybertruck. I would definitely choose this.
thank god the dude that owned the truck had an idea of what people wanted to see. The interviewer looked like he had no idea what to ask.
Add a pull behind camper with kitchen and another tent and take your crew! Awesome setup!
That is one great set up. The owner should be extremely proud of that.
Dream set up for sure- a bit out of my price range for the next couple of years- but a nearly perfect overland vehicle
Amazing set up I’m so jealous!!
That’s perfect. Exactly what I’d do if I had the money…
I am overwhelmed with all the comments!! Thank you all for watching. I would love to off-road with new people, message me @iknowblueberry on Instagram to see if I am in your area.
That’s Very Cool Set Up!👍 Sure Like To Have $100,000 Grand. Sure I Get One Of These.👍👍🇺🇸❤️
from their conversation, this one is priced----tag----over $100 grands, wow, don't know you can put the same camp on top of the raptor????
That Is really cool. I am setting up my alu cab camper on my v6 diesel ute. We don't get the 3.6 petrol jeep here in New Zealand. I would get one of the diesel jeeps but not the petrol one.
One day I will have a gladilike this. Dream setup 100%
Agreed. Probably the nicest set-up I’ve ever seen. This guy has it dialed in!
I don’t know where these guys are finding these campers. It’s like a six month wait list for every single overlanding product known to man.
I waited 4 months. It did take planning and research to get everything together. People do not realize it took months of research and planning to make this build happen.
Little guy needs a big JEEP. :)
You might consider a portable electric bear fence for campsites. 2.4 lbs of huge peace of mind.
Your jeep is so amazing.
I KNOW BLUEBERRY!
Can't wait to see it in person.
Thank you. See you this summer
This makes me wish I had a hundred grand...I'd have me one of these! Really GREAT rig for sure.
FORD MOTOR COMPANY, THE EXCELLENT COMPANY 🇧🇷👏🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🇧🇷
Very sweet setup/vehicle. Wish I could afford it. In another lifetime Lol!!!
Nice!
Nah...this is why mother nature invented hotels.
Nothing beats sleeping under the stars. Its an amazing experience
How does one put together a camping (or overlanding in modern parlance) vehicle if one is not wealthy?
It takes time and hard work. I am not rich I work very hard for what I have. I do not drink alcohol or do any drugs. I am 50 years old and used equity in my home to help pay for this build.
Great build. Has me seriously thinking about getting an alucab for my gladi
this guy made many good choices on this car, am happy for him,
This needs better suspension. Buy springs rated for the weight; AEV, OME, Dobinson, all have higher rated springs - not buying soft springs 2” longer to let ‘em sag. Dana 60s wouldn’t hurt either.
Cool rig, thanks for sharing that with us. looks like a great setup.
Definitely one of the best set-ups I have seen. Functional and practical.
This is NOT an overlanding rig, its a Off-Road Camper. You would never leave North America with it and would be nervous taking it into Mexico. There is no way to really support this ion the road. Can you imagine if you broke down in Mexico with this thing.
This interviewer doesn’t have a clue .
He should build a few more and rent em out.
Lol
How much would you pay for the weekend???
It be cool to keep the rental $ down by having a large fleet. Selling the overland camping experience. Set up in regional hubs with mapped routes and camp spots. Supply food and full fuels. If it’s only two night rental then $600. But rent for weekly use 1300$.
Man that is a crisp looking rig. Absolutely love this setup.
Absolutely kickass awesome Jeep!
Love this. I’d like to see the best Wrangler Rubicon build also. 👍🏼
Looks nice as well as functional. Could imagine a similiar but larger set up on a diesel F250 Tremor with a Carli suspension. It's fun to spend Monopoly money.
Is that UCF fighter Michael Chandler's dad? 🤭
Absolutely a dream set up , obtainable for most !!! ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY AWESOME THO.
That's an awesome setup! Gorgeous rig and the color is absolutely stunning!
Nice Build!!!! I'm very envious... Happy Trails
Go Jeep, Go !
very modest pricing.. with everything seen easily 150,000 set up
Love it. Can I ask what model of Alu-Cab it is? Looking for one for myself. Thank you
Beautiful set up but with the Alu Cab and gear he hauls he can’t tow anything because the hitch weight of the trailer would put him over the cargo capacity of the truck. Tow capacity is a marketing number, cargo capacity almost always limits you to a much lower number.
I freshened up Blueberry’s dirty butt many times. This is on another level Joey, glad I found this video. Miss the Boulder Nissan Fam
Zach!!!! Miss ya buddy!!!
That’s my dream setup. My favorite color and the painted fenders and top are great looking. I kinda want a traditional camper shell with a topper ez lift though.
I love this set up ! Definitely taking note of the Alu-Cab for when I plan on over landing. But my question is what is it like driving with no visibility out of the back window? Is there a camera system? And if so, how is it?
I use my mirrors. The back up camera can be turned on while you are in drive and while driving down the freeway. Just a touch of a button.
Sweet set up, I love love that alumicab! Imo a lot of truck builds have a lot of wasted space with the beds but this set up really uses it all well!
He's EASILY at $100k...he even added it up himself.. I'm just trying to figure out why he said he's at about $90k lol.. Vehicle: $63500 (then you figure tax and fees etc, Rims + Tires / Susp: $17k, and Camping setup: $22k.. That's uhhhhhh.... $102k !!!
I paid 56,000 no tax and the rest is an estimate. The market for new vehicles has gone up for sure.
i really want to get into overlanding, i used to trek an camp but im a bit out of shape and its time for me to get a new ride anyways. im so torn, so many good options out there. i love the wrangler rubicons my cousin had one but now that the gladiators an option idk what to do. because i also have a motorcycle and might wanna tow some heavier things some day.
My dream rig.
Damn.. that's one rig I wouldn't mind paying someone to build.
Awesome setup 👌
And yes it is a dream setup...I can only dream !
Good video Andrea 👍
I love these camping vehicles
Love it, wish I could afford to do a build like this on my Tacoma
For over 90k, I like my setup, 2500 duramax and a travel trailer. :)
Dream setup for sure.
My favorite setup and video so far.
That is an epic go-anywhere-and-be-comfortable-too camping rig. Alu-Cab definitely makes first-class gear. Definitely not something I should spend too much time watching... Must be happy with what I have. Take slow non-drooling deep breaths...LOL :>
That thing looks like it could go through a brick wall, and have a picnic after!
Very Nice build, thank you for sharing.
For a dedicated overlanding and touring alu-cab is system is one of the best setups, next to PCOR, Mits alloys etc. However for overlanding skinnier tyres are better than wider ones. Base roof rack on the front for additional storage and mount like maxtrax, 50 inch light bar. For power supply a full redarc system with manager 30,red vision with 200 ahp battery would be amazing since you got tons of un-utilised space. Propane tank can be mount just next to the high lift jack. Work or camping led lights on the rear and sides would be a good option as well.
Lol 37s on stock jeep axles with all that gear.
Great set up wish I could afford something like that but definitely great job
Awesome set up. I have an Alucab Canopy on my JT Rubicon and love it. I need the storage space for mountain bikes, hence the canopy instead of camper. 🤙
BADASSERY IN THE JEEP GLADIATOR...SWEET SET UP FOR REAL LIVIN ON THE TRAIL ABOUND....EXCELLENT VID AGAIN AND AGAIN FROM ANDRE THE TRUCK MAN..T
FL ROXX N ROLLZ ALWAZE..
GOD BLESS U ALL AT TFL...
Thanks for the video. Thats a nice rig. you giving me some ideas on building our new gladiator for overlanding travel.
I love the tent without the ladder, it's perfect! ❤
Looks like great rig. Those cost numbers he quoted $63,500 + $17,000 + $22,000 equals $102,500. But then he says he has about $90,000 in it. Anyway it looks very cool.
I bought the Gladiator for $56,000 and $22,000 is a rough estimate on the Alu-Cab. I am between $90,000 and $100,000 I try not to add it up. At some point during a build like this you stop counting, or at least I did!!
@@joeyparent9952 It's extremely refreshing to see someone be so transparent about prices, olong with everything else. What an awesome setup, so much respect for you and your build!
@@kingschuyler3890 thank you.
You get that tire out of there and that is so much space with a lot of potential. Almost tempting me to skip the new Tacoma I was going to buy and go this route. Just don't have much experience with Jeep and worried about long-term reliability when compared to a Toyota.
I wish we had similar professionals in Europe. This is the perfect setup for me!
That is nice if I could afford it though I would probably get one of those Black series campers.
Good 👍🏻
diesel heater, is pure heat. condensation is because they use the buthane heaters
The Espar D2 is awesome!!!
Those are nice jeeps. Jesse Edward martin Jem fabrication.
It’s cool, but way overloaded as diesel rubicons have shit payloads. With a friend + equipment, you are going to be 1000 lb overloaded. And yes, I heard him say he changed spring rates with the lift, but I would think an insurance company would have their way with him if he wrecked it.
The pay load is 1075 on a stock Gladiator Diesel Rubicon. I am right around 1,000 to 1200 fully loaded. That is before we talk about the upgrades.
Should we be more specific and refer to this as a U.S only type overlander.
Plenty of rigs like this in Australia.
Have the same color on mine... love the hydro blue.
It is the best color!!! 😁
