Cost less than a founders addition Cybertruck. I would definitely choose this.
This camping/overlanding setup is one of THE BEST I HAVE SEEN YET that perfectly balances overall bed weight (i.e. keeps good driving range!) versus inherent functionality along with some very nice home-comfort features at a decent price that lets you keeps your entire truck plus camp package to around $100k or even less!
I am VERY impressed with this setup!
GREAT JOB !!!!
V
Awesome setup. I wish the owner many years of adventures and fun with it.
Fantastic setup and serious awesome looking gladiator!! love this guys transperancy , being straight up and not bragging, just a man very proud of his work.
Thank you.
Americans don't brag and that is one quality of Americans admired over the world.
That Alu Cab isn't something I was interested in before, but this setup has me rethinking that. There actually is a lot of space in the back even with the 37" tire back there. Plus can still fit in the garage, very nice!!!
Congratulations, Joey! This is easily one of the best Gladiator rigs I've ever seen!
This is the perfect overlander setup. Thanks Joey and Andre for the review. Bookmarked!
Add a pull behind camper with kitchen and another tent and take your crew! Awesome setup!
I love that on either side you can open (and screen) that big side bay window 12:00
Sit in there with heat and watch the storms and landscapes - so nice you're not just in some canvas tomb
When the tent is up you have 3 huge windows too!!!!
Agreed. Probably the nicest set-up I’ve ever seen. This guy has it dialed in!
Amazing set up I’m so jealous!!
1st time I could ever imagine owning a Gladiator over a Wrangler. Love the looks and great job both of you guys with the review. cheers
Excellent build. Simple, yet fully functional.
Very nice setup. I got one like how it flows with the truck. It's not sticking out too far and the ease of being able to set so quickly at a chosen camp site is a definite win for me.
For a dedicated overlanding and touring alu-cab is system is one of the best setups, next to PCOR, Mits alloys etc. However for overlanding skinnier tyres are better than wider ones. Base roof rack on the front for additional storage and mount like maxtrax, 50 inch light bar. For power supply a full redarc system with manager 30,red vision with 200 ahp battery would be amazing since you got tons of un-utilised space. Propane tank can be mount just next to the high lift jack. Work or camping led lights on the rear and sides would be a good option as well.
This guy nailed it. It is almost exactly what id build and i really dig the gladiator platform. nice!
One day I will have a gladilike this. Dream setup 100%
Sensational. I've not been a particular fan of the Gladiator, but it is growing on me. We currently have a 2019 Wrangler Rubicon 4-door and a 2013 F150 Lariat CrewCab 4x4. This set up is making consider selling the F150 and building something similar to this.
As always, thanks so much for sharing.
Steve
Awesome!!! If you have any questions on the build feel free to ask.
I wish we had similar professionals in Europe. This is the perfect setup for me!
Guy needs his own channel for this jeep
I've told him this....
Very Nice build, thank you for sharing.
Your jeep is so amazing.
I KNOW BLUEBERRY!
Can't wait to see it in person.
Thank you. See you this summer
Definitely one of the best set-ups I have seen. Functional and practical.
Awesome setup that I aspire! My Alu-Cab Explorer Cap is top notch quality and very handy but that camper is next level!
Great Build! The Alu-Cab set up seems perfect. Have a great Overlanding Season with it!
this guy made many good choices on this car, am happy for him,
Nice build! I just put an Alu Cab on a Blue Tundra! also a Chinese diesel heater.. not many of us have done this! glad to see someone else put one in besides the Dickerson propane heater. saves tons of room and a nice dry heat as he said which is huge!!
The heat is a game changer!!!!
@@iknowblueberry Webasto?
Very cool truck. A 37” spare does fit under a Gladiator with 35 lbs of air in it. I’m running mine that way.
I think the reason the guy said he doesn’t store it there is because if he got a flat it would be a pan in the butt to try to wrestle it out from under. I can see how that would make sense especially if one of the rear tires went flat.
Ive got a 39” KM3 under my gladiator with the same amount of lift he has. Changing a flat requires a jack already so its no big deal to change a flat
The Jeep Gladiator is so Unique and cool looking. I absolutely love them.
i had only seen stock ones, and thought they looked terrible. Only after seeing one built did i start to appreciate these.
thank god the dude that owned the truck had an idea of what people wanted to see. The interviewer looked like he had no idea what to ask.
Overlanding: always outdoors. Sleeping, eating, washing, going to the bathroom - regardless of heat, cold, wind, sun, hail, bugs - wife says no.
😳😆😆😆👌🏽
Oh I'm sure she'll let you go overlanding while she stays home.....
East to alternate to please the wife . 1 day camp next day lodge . Maybe ?
My wife says same , she would rather go glamping.....not the same.
🤣🤣🤣
I remember Blueberry the Xterra and Joey from GoneMoab.
I have had the opportunity to Off Road with so many amazing people. I am very grateful.
It's one of the best set-ups I've seen. I need to build one!
I have not been a fan of the look of the Gladiator until seeing this video. Rig is exceptionally done. Thank you for sharing.
That’s perfect. Exactly what I’d do if I had the money…
That Is really cool. I am setting up my alu cab camper on my v6 diesel ute. We don't get the 3.6 petrol jeep here in New Zealand. I would get one of the diesel jeeps but not the petrol one.
Would love to get my hands on something like this. Such a clean looking Gladiator. This has everything that you need for many enjoyable days out on the trails.
Great Dream Setup! I'm sure he's got more for the camp cooking portion of this build that we didn't get to see but with all of the organization in the alu cab I'd love to see how it's laid out.
Another great production guys, thx!
This would be my dream rig but with a black Gladiator. Beautiful. Thanks.
Dream setup for sure.
Man that is a crisp looking rig. Absolutely love this setup.
Such an awesome truck and owner. Definitely something I could get in to when I retire
Sweet set up, I love love that alumicab! Imo a lot of truck builds have a lot of wasted space with the beds but this set up really uses it all well!
That is one great set up. The owner should be extremely proud of that.
This rig Rocks. Perfect size and love the diesel and the color. Very nicely done.
I fit in my garage and can use drive throughs when traveling. I can do 90mph on the highway and fit on all trails being only 8ft tall.
Empty space where spare was aux diesel tank to feed heater or transfer to main tank ?? Just thought
You might consider a portable electric bear fence for campsites. 2.4 lbs of huge peace of mind.
Dream set up for sure- a bit out of my price range for the next couple of years- but a nearly perfect overland vehicle
Nice Build!!!! I'm very envious... Happy Trails
Looks like a great idea for the gladiator. Definitely going to look into it.
My dream rig.
I love the tent without the ladder, it's perfect! ❤
Thanks for the video. Thats a nice rig. you giving me some ideas on building our new gladiator for overlanding travel.
Looks like great rig. Those cost numbers he quoted $63,500 + $17,000 + $22,000 equals $102,500. But then he says he has about $90,000 in it. Anyway it looks very cool.
I bought the Gladiator for $56,000 and $22,000 is a rough estimate on the Alu-Cab. I am between $90,000 and $100,000 I try not to add it up. At some point during a build like this you stop counting, or at least I did!!
@@iknowblueberry It's extremely refreshing to see someone be so transparent about prices, olong with everything else. What an awesome setup, so much respect for you and your build!
@@kingschuyler3890 thank you.
That’s my dream setup. My favorite color and the painted fenders and top are great looking. I kinda want a traditional camper shell with a topper ez lift though.
Awesome set up. I have an Alucab Canopy on my JT Rubicon and love it. I need the storage space for mountain bikes, hence the canopy instead of camper. 🤙
A tent bro wow perfect for camping and bears and sht that’s awesome
Love this. I’d like to see the best Wrangler Rubicon build also. 👍🏼
Great setup and the inspiration for my ideas on my Gladiator. Thanks for sharing!!
What an incredible set up. Nice clean build, and my favorite color. Only thing I'd have different is 38's now that I'm used to that size on JLUR (as seen on my jeepNdirt channel). I too have 4.5 inches of actual lift but with aftermarket steel fenders and agree with having space above the tires not only for the look but also I like having up travel as well as down. Absolutely love this JT.
Thank you!!! lets wheel if you are in Colorado!!!!!
@@iknowblueberry Would absolutely love too. My wife and I are finally planning on heading out west this summer towards the Silverton area so I'm hoping everything goes as planned. Have a little health issue that needs clearing up, but so far so good.
All dialed in to waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.Nice setup!
In 12 degree weather I just stand in the small opening and pee in a plastic bottle :-) LOL!!! I do not have to go outside the Alu-Cab and getting dressed standing up is a bonus.
Awesome build! Wild camping adventures are my favorite. Thanks for sharing!
One of your best interviews ever !
Great build. Has me seriously thinking about getting an alucab for my gladi
Perfect. Once he gets that rear bumper that is 😉. I'm jk. Amazing rig. That diesel option is looking pretty tempting
That is in the works.....
@@iknowblueberry yeah can't wait for an update video down the road. Absolutely incredible build. Like if I had the means I would just copy and paste lol
Have the same color on mine... love the hydro blue.
It is the best color!!! 😁
6:35 "webasto" exhaust is under the car - is not allowed! Exhaust should blow to the border frame of the car.
It is getting relocated when the new rear bumper is installed. Thanks for the concern!
@@iknowblueberry Yeah, that's right. It might be too dangerous. Especially in low-wind weather. Or in case car is partially submerged into water.
wow nailed it on this one! dedicated on that price tho. If it something you will use all the time its well worth it. I cant say i have any complaints either. had no idea the jeep could have a diesel this really has made me think a bit.
Amazing set up
😁
BADASSERY IN THE JEEP GLADIATOR...SWEET SET UP FOR REAL LIVIN ON THE TRAIL ABOUND....EXCELLENT VID AGAIN AND AGAIN FROM ANDRE THE TRUCK MAN..T
FL ROXX N ROLLZ ALWAZE..
GOD BLESS U ALL AT TFL...
Yeh rite most of these rigs are home everynight!
Nice setup . Baja prerunner ...
Amazing build.
You get that tire out of there and that is so much space with a lot of potential. Almost tempting me to skip the new Tacoma I was going to buy and go this route. Just don't have much experience with Jeep and worried about long-term reliability when compared to a Toyota.
Cool rig, thanks for sharing that with us. looks like a great setup.
As a Gladiator Owner what a smick set-up.
Awesome setup 👌
And yes it is a dream setup...I can only dream !
Good video Andrea 👍
Dude knows how to set up his vehicle. Exactly for how he’s going to use it!
Excellent
Great attachments to the Gladiator
I like the setup, pricey though but the hard shell camper is the way to go.
Beautiful truck, nice owner and best of all , it gets used!
Good luck on your adventures👍🏼
How much does it weigh ❓❓❓ Trip Ready❗ (all in - full fuel -water - food - people et al) THX
Nice setup.
My dream rig? A Unimog camper, equipped with ultra hi-tech hover craft capabilities and invisibilty cloak impervious to EMP attacks.
Great setup. I am wondering if a fuel cell in the spare tire area would be worth it.
For really long trips yes. I just have a 5 gallon Jerry can in the back.
This makes me wish I had a hundred grand...I'd have me one of these! Really GREAT rig for sure.
I'm always late to the party🎉. ...I knew this rig was "highly invested" before he talked prices. And yes, WOW indeed verrry nice setup.
WOW!!! Very nice OL setup. Have fun.
Camped in Big Bear was low 20s. No heater necessary, just used my down filled quilt.
Heat is a bonus. I get up to get food, drink, or pee in a bottle and I am still warm outside the sleeping bag.
I don’t know where these guys are finding these campers. It’s like a six month wait list for every single overlanding product known to man.
I waited 4 months. It did take planning and research to get everything together. People do not realize it took months of research and planning to make this build happen.
Go Jeep, Go !
Great setup. Definitely an aspirational build since I also bought a Diesel Gladiator recently.
Hows that goin
@@JoshalynnLove Unfortunately, life has dictated other things than accessories for the truck, but, it has been a very reliable and surprisingly economical daily driver. Once life settles down, I still an on outfitting the truck for exploring, fishing, and camping/overlanding. Just have to save my pennies.
Phenomenal Gladiator! One of the best for sure.
Love love Luv this rig! I might do just a few things differently to shave a few bucks, but clearly you are already enjoying the Grand Tour. I've got my 22JTDR build started, hopefully I will be outback ready in time for Easter 23 :)
Well done brother. Well done.
My favorite setup and video so far.
That is a super sweet looking Gadiator. Great setup!
Nice guy, down to earth, great rig. Awesome video TFL!
Looks nice as well as functional. Could imagine a similiar but larger set up on a diesel F250 Tremor with a Carli suspension. It's fun to spend Monopoly money.
That's an awesome setup! Gorgeous rig and the color is absolutely stunning!
i really want to get into overlanding, i used to trek an camp but im a bit out of shape and its time for me to get a new ride anyways. im so torn, so many good options out there. i love the wrangler rubicons my cousin had one but now that the gladiators an option idk what to do. because i also have a motorcycle and might wanna tow some heavier things some day.
This was sort of the direction I was hoping to go last January 2022, unfortunately the Chrysler dealerships here in Ontario Canada wanted a lot of money for the diesel gladiators. They wanted a lot of money for any of the jeeps, even just a regular V6. I ended up getting a Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road, and which I’m slowly building up. I’ve had about a year now, conference, MSRP of $52K, good interest rate for the balance after my trade in vehicle. It’s also my daily driver, so I do enjoy a little bit better road, fuel and highway driving van on the Jeeps.
You didn't want to buy a used one? We are in Ontario too and looking at Jeeps or some other suitable vehicle for camping. It would have to be comfortable enough to go on a cross-Canada or across-USA trip. So far we have been doing up to 3 weeks canoe trips in Ontario and slept in our SUV when not canoeing overnight and it has worked great. However, sleeping in the back might become annoying when traveling over 3 weeks.
