    Very nice James! That first group was phenomenal!! Can't argue with 5 in one hole. I really like the chassis on that rifle too. That is a solid rig for sure! Thanks for sharing and good luck at your next match. 👍

      @@haroldrushton6735 thanks I appreciate it. I definitely can’t argue groups like that. When you watch them all group like that you’re just waiting to see which one coming up will fly off and ruin it lol. Thanks best of luck to you as well.

    Love your videos. I have this gun and mine had to go in for repairs for leaking. I guess I need to learn to work on it. I bought the gun thinking the carbon air tank was going to be available. I will sell the gun if this tank is not available soon. To be honest I am disappointed. I see what it can be but so far not great.

      @@weaponofchoice8942 sorry to hear you got a leak on yours. Always frustrating when it happens especially on new toys. Mine quit leaking the next day, I always hate to tear into something especially when it’s new as I’ve seen it in the past where things just need to settle and seat in place.
      You can get them to shoot really good just takes a little more patience then some depending on what kind of groups you are normally happy with. I

    Just got my DRS pro a week or two ago and the hammer spring adjustment has a ball detent with 8 notches per turn so you don't have to loctite. Im running the reg around 175bar and getting 975fps out of 36g 217 slugs. My reg fluctuates 10bar or so but velocity stays at a 3-4SD. Nice video!

    • @Competitiveairgunning
      @Competitiveairgunning  25 дней назад

      @@aaronmonroe2886 Thats a good speed to run those and that’s it’s good SD. My hammer screw spun free once I broke it loose. I’ll have to look at mine and check a diagram to see if I’m missing that ball detent and what holds it in place. If you have checked what are you getting in terms of shot count at that set up?

    • @aaronmonroe2886
      @aaronmonroe2886 25 дней назад +1

      @@Competitiveairgunning im getting 12 shots also until it comes off the reg but i can get 1-2 more shots that are pretty close with the current tune shooting past the reg. i put a small .0625" steel shim I made behind the hammer weight and in front of the spring. At first I couldn't get over 940FPS with 36g .218 slugs before the hammer spring adjustment was screwed in all the way.

    • @Competitiveairgunning
      @Competitiveairgunning  25 дней назад

      @@aaronmonroe2886 I didn’t have any issue getting up faster than 940 even with 40’s (thjnk they are an oddball .2175) I was at 965 at one point. Once I drop off the reg I see those shots move out of the grouping pretty quick. I could probably compensate with the 33’s one or two shots but I think the 40’s compensating I’d have a hard time keeping them close to the group.

    • @aaronmonroe2886
      @aaronmonroe2886 25 дней назад

      @@Competitiveairgunning The hammer weight I got was not the tungsten/copper weight in the slug power kit and the adjusting screw looks much different with the detents than the one in Matt Dubber's rifle so Im guessing it was machined a little differently than the earliest models. My groups aren't quite as good as yours in the video, but I'll have the internal weight tomorrow and have two sets of external weights so hopefully that will help. I'll still be about 3 pounds short of my rimfire. I was also able to get to the reg adjustment through the chassis holes. I haven't been able to find much of anything for information on reg and hammer settings.

    • @Competitiveairgunning
      @Competitiveairgunning  25 дней назад

      @@aaronmonroe2886 oh that makes sense I think mine came in on the second shipment. 3lbs isn’t much to get on external weights. The weight I’m currently making will add about ten lbs to it. It will be sarcastic heavy. But I like them very heavy (except when carrying). The weight I’m making slides on and off as I plan to use mine as a hunting rifle as well so I don’t want to use tools to take the weight off. I spent a long time tinkering with settings to get my first groups going very well. I was pleased to see the 40’s on that video actually shot well with that tune. TBH I was getting frustrated tuning. Every time I though I had something it would change. Was definitely more work than the panthera to find a tune for. You ain’t lying there isn’t much out there are far as adjustments or settings yet. Im gonna try and make another video with mine this coming weekend.

    I appreciate you mentioning a leak because mine actually bleed out over night but I’m not stressing it what I am stressing is the barrel air reservoir I can’t remove it for the life of me so I ordered a vice and a heat gun to take it off. the plenums completely drained but I haven’t checked the main air reservoir I just figured It was empty because it reads zero on gauge do you think there’s a tad bit of air still in there causing tight thread seal or is there loc tite on these shroud air reservoirs locking it to the action?

    • @Competitiveairgunning
      @Competitiveairgunning  24 дня назад +1

      @@recklessjunkie I know the plenum shroud on my panthera was locked down hard. But since that’s the air tank I would think it’s treated more like a bottle and most likely has lock tite. When I pulled the plenum shroud off my panthera I put my gun between my legs and held it with my knees so I could get a good twist with both hands. I’d be careful though since that’s the bottle. The main air tank should be drained if the plenum is drained. I am hoping since mine is new it will seal up and I don’t have to fix it or send it in. Sucks tour experiencing a leak and having to work on it so early. I plan on looking at mine again this week and to see if it still leaks if so I’ll have to dial what the problem could be.

      @@Competitiveairgunning yeah I ordered a full oring kit for it on oringsandmore and some snoop on Amazon that’s for checking for leaks Utah airguns uses it.. gonna work on it in a few days I’ll probably run the panthera this weekend because I can’t go a week without shooting haha yeah I’d put it between my legs and use both hands but I really really don’t want to bend the trigger or something like that so the vice and heat gun should do I’ll clamp the block with rubber and rags or something heat gun is last resort.. but yeah so you mentioned the air coming out of the little hole on the side with the cocking handle I think that’s the regulator because I watched sub12 airgunners teardown video of the drs and he takes you through it showing you where the air will escape if a certain oring fails good luck with the fix and I appreciate the videos a ton

      @@recklessjunkie good to know I’ll have to watch that video on it. I know the feeling that’s why I always hate taking my guns down I play with them a couple times every week. I think I’ll order a vice as well and some of that leak detector. The panthera plenum wasn’t to hard to break free, I’d bet that air tank shroud would be much much harder to get off. Curious to see how hard it was for ya so I know what to expect.
