Hi Matt, I have watched your review of sirui saturn 35mm. I have the Xh2s and this lense is also available for X-Mount. It's not clear to me how the image is affected when using a full frame lense for apsc sensors? And what happens when I shoot in open gate? Can you help me? 😊
Great video Matt! I had invested in the first 4 Venus series lenses from sirui. After they made the 135mm a 1.8 instead of 1.6 I sold the set. Also, all the lenses in that set all had synchro focus issues- except the 35mm. I wish sirui would have released a complete full set of this Saturn series… so we know what the whole set will be before investing…will the other lenses in this set have constant squeeze too?

I’m really excited about the Atlas Mercury series. I put in a preorder for the 42mm so I’ll be coming out with a review and footage as soon as I get my hands on it. They look amazing.

do i have to turn of the IBIS? it's little bit shaking while i filming with this lens..
I’ve found the digital IS on my c70 is tricky with anamorphic lenses. Sometimes it works, other times it looks extra bad. So I usually keep it off
hello and thank you for that overview: very interesting item.. one question remains - are you sure that the breathing ist lower than with the bigger Veering 35 mm? actually it is reported that both use the same (optical) construction with 18 lenses in 13 groups...
Thanks! I’ve never shot on the other 35mm so I’m not sure if there’s more or less. I just didn’t really notice any breathing on this version.
