Gents, thanks for this! Just tied my first belt and it worked first time. I appreciate you putting this up here. Cheers from Dublin, Ireland!

Sincere thanks for this video. I just made 12 belts without one swear word leaving my mouth. My past technic was shameful, I would get so frustrated working with this invisible string. Again, big thanks!

Thanks. I've been trawling the net for years and finally you have made it perfectly clear.

I think it should be 0.004 inches not mm in thread size. Great video, first good instructions for how to make a WTL belt. Thanks

This stuff couldn't be more of a nightmare to work with, but it's genuinely a sonic improvement over my o-ring belt. And my platter usually needs a jumpstart when I turn it on, but with the invisible Sulky, it started unassisted.
Now if my motor wasn't free standing, I would probably have quit. But it's clearly worth getting the size right. I might prefer to work with a larger size, however (for my own sanity).

That’s a very good video. I made sone test with different polyester wires I have in house but rotation speed is always lower than the belt. Ordered Sulky wire as per your specifications. Can you tell us how to match the correct lenght? There’s a trick or we have to guess by chance? I tried to take the correct measure with wire with rubber belt keeping the platter flat but results in too loose rope slipping on the spindle. I tightened a litlle and the platter started spinning but at 30 rpm… 😂 I own a TWT Classic (with round hole for motor)… any help will be accepted! Thanks for the video.

Thank you for this video. A friend recently linked me to it, I watched it then immediately ordered the Sulky thread which took forever to get here.
I've just made a set of belts, my deck uses 3.

Pretty good 👌 in regards to measurements which one do you use I'm not too sure about that?

Your Well tempered TT should have come with an owners manual that tells you how long the belt needs to be.

I feel like you were panned away from the most important part. I cant get it tight and it’s very stressful

For all that money is it really that hard to include it in the purchase price.

All Well tempered Turntables do come with two belts and your local dealer should provide you with free belts for life.
This video is to help the dealers out there make up new belts.

Worthless. The knot is simple. How to do it with tiny thread is difficult. Can’t see the white thread against Dylan’s hands.
