  • This family coaster by Mack Rides may not be the tallest or fastest but we were excited to ride it for the first time and experience the bobsled.
In late 1987, Kings Dominion announced that a bobsled roller coaster named Avalanche at the time would be added for the 1988 season. It officially opened to the general public on March 26, 1988.
The coaster was closed for the 2021 season due to the nearby construction of Tumbili. During the 2021-2022 off-season, Avalanche was repainted orange and rethemed as Reptilian as part of the park's new Jungle X-Pedition area.

I'm so fascinated by bobsled rides and scared at the same time…It’s the no-track for me. But I can't tell you how much I want to experience one!!!

👍Hope you finally get an opportunity to visit Knoebels and ride the world's only wooden bobsled coaster Flying turns to do a comparison with Reptilian.

Flying turns is way more intense from my experience. This ride is very slow and rougher than flying turns.
