  • Lecture 17 in the introduction to building technology series. This lecture covers the use of breather membranes in timber frame construction. It continues on from the earlier lecture on heat loss and vapour control and looks at the layer of construction most commonly used to protect the building from moisture whilst allowing it to breathe.
This lecture is intended for first-year architecture students and those studying towards a qualification in Architectural technology, surveying or construction management in the UK. The information has been simplified to suit the knowledge level of the intended audience.
