Yeah Marley double roman Michael. I think there are similar issues with a lot of manufacturers. Usually find Marley to be reliable though, this was one of only a small amount on the job with any defect.

The trouble with some of these membranes they do not work ventilation system is required .When building new houses the amount of water used especially in the winter over power the membranes and they condensation is terrible.

Hi Sam, yes we totally agree. We normally use inline tile vents along the eaves and a vented dry ridge system which is cut open so any warm air can disperse. Some of the retro fit properties we work on we can’t use an continuous over fascia vent and that’s why we use the inline vent tiles. This allows air to come in and then disperse.

Wer sagt das denn? Bei vollsparrendämmung gibt es kein kondenswasser. Innen OSB aussen tyvek oder dhp.

Thx for vid. Can you please confirm if the inline slate vents at bottom or top level are actually cut thru the membrane or is it enough to have the vented air enter via low level slate vents, travel up along outside of membrane and flush any moisture out top level vents ?
Wondering about hot days...How to let very hot air out of attic from under the membrane if slate vents don't pierce membrane.
      Thx
