- Lecture 16 in the introduction to building technology series. This lecture looks at different forms of insulation and some of the more common materials used in construction within the UK.
This information is intended for students studying towards an Architecture, Architectural technology, construction management or surveying degree in the UK. If you are outside the UK some of the terms might be different, especially if you don't use the metric system.
The information has been simplified to suit the knowledge level of the intended audience.
I live in a 70s built brutalist block of flats were the majority owner a housing association hasn’t insulated all exterior areas and they installed cavity wall insulation against the standards set out by the National Housing-Building Council. Useful video, thanks.
