    hi besties :) happy saturday!! Here is another what i eat in a week that challenged me to create high protein and low(ish) carb meals. Some days were tougher than others but i am making so much progress and wanted to share it with you all. I feature about 10 high protein recipes that you can tweak and add to your meal rotation. All of my macros for each meal, as well as for the entire day will be included in the video per usual.     I read a few years ago in a fitness magazine that women should consume more calories leading up to and during our cycle. Our bodies burn more calories and can sustain more physical discomfort, which means we can work out harder and worry less about the muscular pain of recovery. I always have to remind myself to enjoy the extra calories, but don't overdo it ❤️

    Someone else on the macro struggle bus. Protein being the biggest issue for me as well. I loved all these recipes and will definitely be trying them.     Glad you were able to find your niche with the protein. When my cycle was brewing I didn't have the energy nor appetite for anything but wonton soup. I'm here for these new high protein ideas cause I'm sick of eggs so thank you.

    Hi. All the food looked delicious. I love egg white omlettes. I do mine with spinach and feta cheese with a side of raspberries 🤩. I love ground turkey with Mccormick taco seasoning too, it gives it a little spicy kick to it. Good job 👏👍

      @@b.nicole5203 FYI most health insurance will cover 2-4 visits with a nutritionist in a calendar year. You should be able to find an in network provider on your insurance website.

    Food always look bomb as usual. I'll have to try the spring rolls. I've used like egg roll paper but I want to try the clear. Will attempt the sauce with a nut free butter.

      Try "Just Egg" which is Vegan or Extra Firm "Tofu" scramble in skillet on stove with Tumeric for yellow color and health benefits. Don't forget to add a pinch of black pepper to activate the health benefits of the Tumeric. Also, " Black Salt" gives it a eggy flavor🥚🍳

    On another note - I keep forgetting to tell you about the Fenty Skin Butta Drop❣️and Nivea(navy blue bottle only) essentially enriched deep nourishing serum w/ almond oil🙌🏾💗they are 5 🌟 skin perfection!

    I understand about that protein, I’m right there with you I’m trying to hit that protein every day with my coach when I hit that proteins I lose body fat so I am focused daily trying to make sure I hit that protein. It’s harder than you think especially when you’re not hungry it’s like let me go drink a protein shake

    A tip for taking pills in capsule form that float to the roof of your mouth:
    Lean your head down when trying to swallow the pill. This helped me out bc I’m so used to throwing my head back to swallow regular pills like excedrin, ibuprofen, etc. Hope this helps! Love your content 😊

    Raspberry leaf tea can help with cramps also eating eggs can sometimes make cramps worse.

    Girl take it from someone who is also on the cycle struggle bus, it is not normal to have super painful/heavy periods. There are loads of options out there to help with that. Talk to your gyn.
    Love this video also. I also struggle with protein, but I’ve had some success with upping my protein by switching to soy milk in my protein shakes since it’s higher in protein than almond milk.

      A lot of times, it’s genetic. I’ve had super painful cramps where I would end up at the ER (legit as painful as being in labor), if I wouldn’t take Advil in time. Several women in our family had the same thing. There’s a name for that condition and after having 2nd kid, pretty much no cramps at all now. Same thing happened with other relatives.

    I've found that ginger/turmeric tea gets rid of my cramps completely. I get mine from ethnic store. Big box store brands don't cut it.

    I know what you mean about keto I did it for 2 years and I just didn’t know why,wasn’t trying to loose weight just maintain and I was depriving myself of so much delicious fruit and potatoes and rice and my favourite breakfast oats this is my 2nd year back to a normal balanced diet ,no weight gain and feeling good.

    I struggle with taking pills too. No matter the size I could literally choke on them. I make it a little easier by sipping on the water 1st to make my mouth moist then put the pill in my mouth, sip the water again and hold my chin down. Once I'm ready to swallow I will raise my chin up and swallow then it goes down smoothly. Give it a try!

    Can you show how you eat on the weekend? Is your diet more laxed or do you still count your macros? This is my issue.. I'll eat fairly well during the week but on the weekend I am eating out and not paying attention to macros

      Hey lovey! I count macros even on the weekends, I keep my routine because I’m not disciplined enough yet lol. I pretty much use whatever leftovers i have from the week and throw stuff together so I don’t waste anything. But I’ll def do a video tho 😊

    I'd honestly like to know why we can't be happy about weight and physical fitness goals that we have set for ourselves? I've gone round and round in my head about this. I understand that health at every size matters but if your goal is to lose fat and you accomplish it and feel good in your body that is a win.

      Hey shawna! You ABSOLUTELY can and should be happy about your weight/physical fitness goals that you set for yourself. It’s a HUGE win then you achieve them. I, personally, like to focus on the journey as a whole because in my past I’ve focused solely on the number on the scale and was disappointed when I didn’t reach it which led me to give up easily. So when I say “A health and fitness journey is not just about Weightloss” I don’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate scale victories but also expand your growth in other areas like eating clean, developing healthier habits, trying new foods, sticking to a meal plan etc. I apologize if I made you feel as though you shouldn’t celebrate, I was just sharing my own method

    Ok, so I used to have the same problem trying to swallow capsules. I hate them! Naturally, you want to tilt your head back to swallow pills, but that makes them float to the front of your mouth. So you have to do the opposite. Tilt your head forward and let the pills float to the back of your mouth near your throat and then swallow. It feels weird, but that worked for me.

    I started taking the Rae vitamins and the love results so far but the floating that happens before swallowing kills me 😩 i thought it was just me lol

    A lot of times it’s easier to take pills with food instead of water. Drink water afterwards of course but have the pill or bills in the bolus before you swallow and it will go down just fine almost every time.

    Pro tip: hold the pill in your lips no water and then use the water to shoot it back. You just have to swallow as soon as you shoot the water back.

    Girl I went to the obgyn and she told me that period cramps get worse the older you get 🥴 she prescribed me some stronger ibuprofen cause your girl was bout to call out of work because of cramps one night! lol well I was really bout to call 911 🤣! Also girl there’s nothing wrong with too many carbs just get your protein up! Carbs are fuel and you will feel so much better!!

      You also need to try the cookie crunch M&ms the small packs are only 180 calories! I’ve been tearing them up! They definitely help my chocolate cravings

    Heyyy I have a question, how do you workout on your cycle because it’s trail & error for me I’m tryna get use to it but I would like some kind of advice

      Hey baby girl! It’s so hard for me but I try to go first thing in the morning when I’m on it so I don’t talk myself out of going to the gym half way through the day. Now if my body needs the rest, I don’t force it. I just get anxiety because I feel like when I go, it’ll go through my bottoms so it’s more of me making sure my gym outfit will cover the fact that I’m on it
