Possibly the best live performance by a band ever.........This group is what music should be.......They leave their hearts on that stage every performance, whether in front of a huge crowd like this or when I saw them in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the Casino

The Avett Brothers are fantastic!!! Their music, voices, lyrics, and performance are incredible! The more I listen to them, the more I like them. I love all their songs, and it's rare for me to like ALL songs from a singer. Sometimes I'm very picky about music and other stuff. I remember the first time I heard The Avett Brothers on a TV show; I thought, "they are ok," then I listened to them again a few times, and they grew on me, and I fell in love forever! It proves that sometimes one has to explore new music with an open mind and heart. Now they are one of my favorite bands ever! I'm so happy that I found their music!!! As I’m growing older, I've been exploring more and more acoustic music, whatever they call it - folk, indie folk, folk-rock, etc. The Avett Brothers are in my top 5 bands, possibly number 1 or 2, but I can't make up my mind because I also adore The Lumineers, who are from Colorado, where I live. I also discovered Gregory Alan Isakov from Colorado, and he's at the top of my list now, but he's more mellow and introspective. These musicians prove to me that music doesn't have to be a massive show with lots of tricks to be fantastic and make people feel alive. We don't have to choose one artist or band to be number one. 😀

That's ok; there can be more than one excellent folk-rock band. I love them both. I love it when musicians are so great that they influence other musicians and bands. I'm super happy I found The Avett Brothers and Mumford and Sons too.🙂
