If it’s frog tape, they normally recommend to take it off whilst the paint is still a bit wet. Loving these videos 😁

Taping is hard because you have to take it off right after you’re done painting because otherwise it peels! If timing doesn’t work that way, I take a razor blade and score the seam from the wall to trim and it generally doesn’t peel that way

Living these videos! My husband and I renovated our toy hauler a couple of years ago from top to bottom as well. Primed and painted EVERYTHING from ceiling to floor including the cabinets & bathroom in the entire trailer since it was an older toy hauler. Did all the things, replaced floor, hardware, lights, cosmetic things, etc. I know how much work this is, you guys got this 💪🏻 can’t wait for the finished product!! Looking SO good already!

You may find that a lot of the older has soaked up into your ceiling and walls so by priming it with could primer you'll seal it and that may help get rid of the smell.

Trial and error for sure adding to the learning experience of renovating an RV. So sweet your kids wanted to help! 🩵 Nice that the plywood underneath that slide out was still good and that you could find carpet a lot cheaper than the RV dealer. 🌺

If you use tape, next time try taking it off while the paint is still wet! The lines will be crispy 👌

The odor stain blocker primer is amazing. Our home was very smoke stained when we moved in. I used that on every single wall in our house before I painted and no one can even tell it was that way!

You are so good at painting! I always have to tape off the areas because I’m so unsteady. If you ever do tape an area again, take the tape off before the paint dries & it won’t peel off.

I don't tape either!! Always makes a bigger mess for me and is kinda therapeutic for me to trim. Friends will call when they are painting and ask me to come and trim for them 😂 It's looking awesome! And I bet it smells SOOO much better. Cat pee is the worst!!

You should have peeled the tape off when the paint was still wet. That’s what I’ve always been told. Looking good!
If you use painters tape you will need to remove it before paint is dried.

Yes!! There’s none in there at all 🙌🏼
When you use tape, you're supposed to remove it when that paint is still damp, which for me, always got me covered in paint and anything it touched was at risk so I learned to just edge slowly with a good brush too! I could've saved so much time and money in my first house when I was 17 had I just not used tape! 😢

@@KristenKasper right? it's really the dumbest thing, esp when you consider you have to prime first 99% of the time! Imagine the time to tape, prime, remove, tape, prime a second coat, remove, tape, paint, remove, and then pray you don't need a second coat of paint too? LOL Plus all the cleaning of everything it touched... and we all know no one is actually going to remove the tape each time before the paint is completely dry, or take a razor to it and cut around it to break the seal... I get it for some ppl, and i am sure it works for some, but for me it's 1000 percent easier to just wipe up anything i may have accidentally hit over all the time and money spend on tape!!!

Good you accidentally painted where you are doing WP install. Everything will smell so fresh because of that. I can’t CANNOT wait though to see the WP choices. I rarely tape as well. A tip I got though…..if you do…..pull off tape slowly, but KEY is still to pull it off before the paint dries. Looking forward to the next video.
But the two 3 layers of primer and paint are already dry before the last layer of paint is put on so I wondered if that would still happen 😂 either way, I won’t be using tape again hahaha

Yeah, with tape, you have to remove the tape as soon as you are done, or within a few hours.
Undid after the last coat of paint but it was like the primer I did first was peeling. 🫠🫠
