What a voice! What a band! What a lucky bunch of us who got to hear Heart when they hit the world in 1975! Luckier yet that Ann and Nancy are still performing. Hard working, hard playing, happy jammers!
I absolutely adore Ann and Nancy. I've never seen nor heard them sound any less than perfect and its because they have something most bands lack now, talent.
Why are these women NOT in the R&R Hall of Fame is BEYOND ME! I just love Heart so much!!! So many memories and great feelings when I hear their music!! Phenomenal performers and I hope living a happy existence today!
Ann and Nancy agree with you, me and a lot of other 'loyal Heart fans'! I saw a television interview of the sisters a few years ago, and when asked, 'Then, the Eighties?', the both moaned! Ann added, 'My nailbeds have never been the same!' It's clear the ladies went with the demands of the record label (i.e., be trendy, get big hair extensions, wear very high heels) but it didn't suit them. Heart put out some great hits in the 80's, but it's not what I would call representative of who they are.
DAYUM!! That voice!! & the harmonies that Ann & Nancy sing are just perfect!! Check out their harmonies in a song called "Ring Them Bells" on the "Desire Walks On" album!! How can anybody concentrate on Ann's weight with that voice comin outta the speakers at them!! These two ladies have TRUE talent unmatched by the anorexic little girls in todays music!!
@linfinster yeah....that really sucks. def lep, rush, etc....but they got pop'ers, rappers,...ABBA is in but they sold over 400mln.....i saw the video where faith hill TRIED to sing WINNER TAKES IT ALL. no agnetha from ABBA - it was all over the place.
