Went to a lot of concerts in the 70's and 80's, all the real rockers, BOC, Nugent, Kansas, Skynyrd, ZZ, even a rain shortened Zep concert and a of bunch others. The best concert I ever saw was Heart 1977. Glad to see them keepin' on!

When I see/hear these two KA ladies and their excellent band do this song, I am proud to say I grew up in the Seattle area during the time of their first rise to the top. You guys are awesome and inspirational!!!
One thing I don't understand is why people think she lost most of her voice. I don't think her voice is better or worse but it sure is sexier with this raw energy! She can still hit the notes and I bet no one will sing half as good as she when you are 50!

Before ITunes finally came to their senses and started to carry Led Zeppelin songs, the closest thing you could get was Heart's covers of their songs. Thank God for Heart.
She burns this song down sound like Plant in the 70's. My fave thing about Black Dog is the percussion though. It is sheer genius. It sounds as if it is going really fast because of the guitar riff with it but all along it's a simple and slow 1,2 beat. Bonham, sheer artistic genius to have done this.

I saw LZ live in the 70's & covered LZ and Heart. This cover is perhaps the best ever done. It is tight with a great sound. Page double tracked his own rythm guitar in 1971 . LZ was never this tight live. Plant lost his range only a few years into their touring career. Wilson has been singing live for 40 years and still shows that she is one of the only people in music that can do a cover of Plant justice - and she is 62 years old! Her raw unprocessed live vocals are the best in the rock world.

Heart and Rush are the only two bands from that era that can still rip it up. This is an amazing performance for a band of any age.
