After years of infertility and an unexpected diagnosis of azoospermia, a couple turned to Shady Grove Fertility to help them realize their dreams of getting pregnant and starting a family.
Between 40 to 50 percent of infertile couples experience a form of male factor infertility including issues such as:
    *a low sperm count (oligospermia)
    *no sperm count (azoospermia)
    *or decreased sperm motility (asthenospermia)

My husband got the same diagnosis 20 years ago!!!! We remain childless but God has blessed us with so many nieces and nephews!!! I know it's not the same as having your own and my heart still at times longs to hold my own, but when my little nieces our nephews looks at me with so much love, my heart explodes with love for them!!! I pray for anyone that is going thru thus walk, that God may grant then the children, and if not may they find peace in their hearts!!!

It is a painful ordeal... Me and wife went through every possible procedure... One Godly person told us a medical procedure will never work on us even though our tests were normal on most occasions... So far we did two ivf cycles with unexpected failures... Often i temind myself of the great Prophets who were tested with childlessness and they didnt lose their faith, eventually some were blessed. It is a historical curse and only God knows when it will break...

Male factor infertility was corrected for my coworker. He and his wife tried to have kids for 15 years. Then a Urologist suggested a 30 day treatment of Cipro. After 2 months his wife was pregnant! Sadly, she miscarried after about 8 weeks, likely caused by the emotional distress she experienced when her mother died unexpectedly. However, she got pregnant again in only 3 months and they now have had 2 healthy babies. It turns out my coworker probably had an undetected bacterial infection caused by something called Ureaplasma which is sometimes very difficult to detect and this was affecting his fertility. Whatever the infection was, 30 days of Cipro cleared it up. There is so much money in IVF treatments, I think the medical profession is ignoring the simple solution for SOME people.

I can relate to this 100% I got the shock of my life a year ago when doctor said I had 0 sperm. The urologist I went to ruled out obstructive azoospermia. Next he did blood work and found my testosterone and sex binding hormone very low. It's controlled by pituitary gland. We did and MRI and sure enough there was something wrong with it. He put me on medication that will stimulate the gland and 3 months after that, I reported a few thousand sperm (still low but not bad). However all were dead and had no motility. Another 3 months and sperm count went down but we got motility. Today we are on our second cycle of IVF. In this cycle, I could get 15 sperms with good motility and quality. But enough for a cycle of IVF. It's been a very difficult year for us. But I feel that with correct medical help we have made good progress. We pray that this cycle will get us our baby, if not we will continue trying. If you have been recently diagnosed with azoospermia, I know it's a devastating news, but I want you to know that is not the end, don't lose hope.

Personally, I think being childfree would be a lot better than having children.

@@patriciakalonji2543 Most women (like men) don't actually like children. Babies look like mutated prunes, smell like spoiled milk and gym socks, scream constantly, shit all over themselves every 20 minutes, vomit every time you look in their general direction, and need your constant unbroken attention and care.
You gotta go to the bathroom? Too bad. You need to shower? Too bad. You haven't slept in 56 hours? Stop being selfish. You need to work to pay the utility bills? Who's gonna watch your baby? A babysitter? That will cost you over half your weekly income, so you're gonna have to start budgeting tight and never spend a dime on something just because you want it. After all, the babysitter is only like 20% the cost of raising a baby.
You're gonna have to pinch pennies and barrow money and ask family to watch the kid to save on childcare just to get by and for what? So you can come home to no money, limited food, no time to yourself, and that baby.
Screaming, shitting, puking, and totally dependant on you. I don't understand why anybody would jump at the chance to do that, it sounds like a trap. Your hopes and dreams, gone. Any chance at financial success, gone. Hobbies and friends, gone.
