Thank you so much for your very nice comments. A few years ago I was kind of getting in that same situation. Where I sleeveless was just not much fun anymore at all. I actually think it’s a combination of light arm weights and the derma rolling that really helps. I will make that video for sure.

Thank you, Beth for this video. I am 63, do some light weightlifting and use exercise machines and resistance bands, but still have the bat wings. I have been hesitant to dermaroll them, because I thought it would hurt. With a .3 roller, I think it won't hurt at all, and hopefully will be effective. I would enjoy seeing you do a video on your arm workout because your arms look amazing - like you're 25!
Congratulations on being 63 and being so proactive about your health! It is absolutely wonderful that you were weight training. It is so good for us as we age in so many ways. Yes, I think adding derma rolling would help if you were correct. Shallow derma rollers don’t hurt at all. Bless you and congratulations again!

I'm 63 and I have lost about 30 lbs in the last 10 months. I feel great and am at the weight I was in my 50's, where I should be. I would love to see your strength training routine, loose skin is an issue. I do have a derma roller for my face, I never even thought to use it on the rest of my body.

So much Michelle for your nice comments. Yes, I will make a video about bat wings. The more I think about it, the more I think it’s a combination of the weight training plus the derma rolling.
Great video to remind us to weight lift as well as doing micro needling. Your demonstration was helpful although it’s very important to emphasize sterilization of the needles with Rubbing Alcohol as well as having clean dry skin before you begin needling.
You were so right about that and I should have mentioned it. Being sanitary is so important with regard to the derma roller. After I use it I rinse it with water and then I spray it with alcohol and let it air dry before I put it away. Thank you for adding that as it is super important.
I've stopped wearing short sleeves also. I started weight training 3 months ago. I turned 60 this year. Thanks so much for sharing ❤

Hi Beth, great video. I’m skinny at 61. Was an addict in weight training and jogging. Also roller blading until I injured my back at work( CardioVascular Sonographer) which has led to 6 major Back Surgeries. Had been using my Max climber and oh I love it; but made my back hurt soooo bad. I now have a tumor on my spinal cord in which I’m not to do anything. Well, that’s just not me. I purchased some great free weights during the Prime Sale. Started using them for my “Bat Wings” now I’m in so much pain. It’s so depressing not being able to do anything. So I’m going to start Derma rolling. Thank you so much for this great video.
I will watch your tutorial on showing how you did your legs and arms.
Soory; I shouldn’t have shared all of that; but there are soo many ladies out here that want to work out, but not able to due to back; hip; joint etc pain. So derma rolling is at least something to help slightly without being able to work out.

I am sorry too about your injuries ; I feel for you! I am 67 and I still do weight training, pilates, fast paced walkin and lots of work around my house. I have hurt my back several times and it's not fun. I hope you can get back tovsome form of activity.

I’m not supposed to do any housework, but I’m not going to just sit here. I refuse to. But paying for doing light free weights for arms. I was always so athletic and it’s so very hard not to be able to now, but I will be soon!!! It’s great that you are exercising and sounds like you enjoy it as well. Yes, take care of your back. I did all the right things when I injured mine and continued to work in servers pain but my obsessed mind told me to work it out because I was invincible LOL

Do I use arm weights daily in tandem with the derma roller once a month? I’ve only been using a 5 lb weight (the most I have). Maybe I need to invest in a barbell instead?

Thank you Beth so much for sharing this video. I will be 65 next month and noticed my skin wrinkling, getting very dry, and my muscles are very weak. I do not lift weights, just walk, but definitely I will start using the derma roller on my arms, legs and tummy, and will start lifting weights, all thanks to you. By the way, you look amazing! That is actually a great idea! The Glo pro people actually have one but it is very expensive. They combine the derma rolling with LED and personally I don’t think it is effective. I do like the wire with a roller though for sure.

Thx for the video, Beth! It's always great when people get good results and spread what works, so that others can benefit.
I started back at the gym on June 1st. Even though I have not used a derma roller ( yet) the transformation in my arms is quite amazing. Not only have I built bulk and definition in my upper arm, but all that loose-lumpy skin has largely disappeared. If I'm getting these results after only 21 days, the future certainly looks bright!
My lumpy underarm skin... it was like there were little pellets underneath the surface when i probed deep with my fingertips ... Kinda like tapioca pudding?
I think it's possible it could have been stagnant lymph, or slightly inflamed nodes? Well those lumps are gone and I thank the new muscle growth and increases blood flow to that area for it's disappearance.
It's also a lot easier bringing in my groceries from the car!
Going to try some derma rolling on my jawline. I've got some sag starting there.
I'll have to check your other videos and see what you've got for that area.

You are so welcome. Carol is really inspiring I have to admit! If I were you, I would look into weight training as I think it is very helpful as we age. I believe it is one of the best things we can do for ourselves in terms of anti-aging.

Hi Nadine. I will make that bat wing routine for sure. In terms of sagging skin as we age I am thinking weight training is one of the best things we can do for ourselves. That and derma rolling.
I would also add, a low sugar and higher protein diet, with collagen supplements helps to keep the muscle and build it after menopause.

Yes, I think that derma rolling with a shallow depth needle once a month would really be helpful for you. You really haven’t had very significant fluctuations in weight. When I was pregnant I gained almost 80 pounds! Lol! Your 5 pound gain or loss here and there is really not that big a deal. Congratulations on that.

The weight lifting will help. It takes time, but you will see results with even 5-10 minutes a day. =)

Yes, you can do that. When I do my monthly derma rolling I include the backs of my hands however I’m not sure it has really made any difference. Since derma rolling increases collagen though, I think it wouldn’t hurt.

Bruising can be caused by low levels of Vitamin K and C. The elderly generally don't eat well due to low appetite or low income.

Hi Beth, one day I noticed bruises on the inner part of my upper arm and I couldn't think of anything I did to cause it. It never occurred to me that could be because my skin needs to be toughened up. Makes sense how derma rolling can help with that.
Hi Debbie. Yes, I never realized how important it is to keep her skin thicker to actually damage it in a slight way. I know my father would never use a derma roller but I think it might really help him. I think it is also helpful for us to do some thing like that along the way because maybe once our skin gets paperthin the way it does eventually we can’t do much to change that. It might be kind of a maintenance thing.
Didn't know derma rolling could do that! Toughen skin I mean, makes sense 🙂 I'm 70 and just noticed more bruising the last few months. Will be trying derma rolling and weight lifting too!

Hi Melanie and Jo Nell, I apply it prior to rolling. I really like the thickness of it and how it helps the gliding of the roller. I think perhaps the moisture content in it might help "plump" my arm area? Also, the kit comes with a nice container for alcohol. I clean the roller in this prior and after rolling. Carol
Hi Melanie. Carol answer that below. She uses the HA before she does the derma rolling as it helps act as moisture and kind of helps the derma roller glide over the surface better.

Your skin has to build collagen. Maybe if you take collagen powder daily you'd get faster results. Why don't you experiment and let us know?
I actually do take collagen once a day. I think that is important to. On the body skin I have always done it just once a month. With such a shallow needle, you could probably do it twice a month but I have always just done it monthly.

I’ve recently started 2 weight training classes a week as well as Pilates & Cardio.
No great results yet but hanging in there & feel doing something is better than doing nothing.
It’s a SLOW GO.
I Also received one of those rollers as a gift recently. I haven’t used it yet but After hearing such a positive viewer result I better start.
Congratulations on starting weight training! Also, the Pilates and cardio is just wonderful too. It does take several months to really start seeing the results that you will get there sooner rather than later. I think it’s just great that you are working so hard.
