I like that fuel filler door, nice work installing it. And the wheels are cool ,but don't seem to fit the car well. This has been a cool build to see. I rang the bell so I don't miss any of these
If you do keep the set of five Wheels.... You should get the spare tire holder off the back of the original CRV tailgate.... Either graph that into the El Camino or mount it into the bed flat mounted so you have a little original CRv touch in the El Camino bed
The spare tire well is already there. He covered it up with the bed. I feel like a hinge of some type for the bed section above it for access to a spare tire would be cool
No bro you're wrong, on an rd1 CRV the spare tire is mounted on the swing out trunk gate... It's four bolts that go through the tailgate and it extends off of the tailgate to hold the spare tire... You can drill out those four bolts and I thought it would be sick for him to mount that five lug spare tire holder in the bed kind of like the Baja trucks do with their spare tires
@@GoldenEraHondaProduceGarage im telling you it's there. I have watched every video. The stock crv spare tire well in directly underneath the el camino rear bed floor.
@@fast97z24 bro I own three 5 speed manual all-wheel drive CRVs... I know there's a spare tire well in the back it's under a factory Honda CRV table... But you're not listening to the comment the spare tire is actually mounted tailgate Honda never put a spare tire on the inside... I know there's a spare tire well but again you're not listening or reading my comments on a Honda CRV 95 to 01 rd1 the spare tire is bolted to the tailgate and that particular spare tire bracket can be removed.... Brody! Them old American Racing Equipment wheels are SO PERFECT for this build!!! As soon as you put the first test wheel on you could see they were gonna nail the "look" of this build! Great choice man.
I love this project and I'm sure you already picked a color, but gloss black will really show your skills as a body and paint guy and the chrome accents will always look good on black.
Awesome amount of progress !! And these wheels... they look great, it's the look that fits. Hopefully you can find something similar to replace these. Great job, man!!
Wheels look great! Add a little height in the rear & roll the fender lip to help eliminate camber. As far as the fronts, that is almost no contact. Shave a little off the caliper bracket & call it a day!
Yeah, those are the wheels for this build. Maybe a slightly smaller tire wall, but if you're going for that sleeper look, these wheels and maybe a cover for the bed. Gonna be slick when it's done.
Shave the caliper a few millimeters…had to do the same to run prelude, tsx, accord, and tl wheels on my CRV. Remember Mustang wheels work also…nothing too big as axles will disintegrate. New paint? Roll the lips all the way around and no rubbing…love the camber on bigger tires flush with the rear quarter…one Kickass ride!!
@@BodeVisionfor sure. I've driven 3 g bodies and 2 different 1st gen crv's. Both squatted hard at launch. If angles on rear half shafts become too extreme, it would shake bad. With weight transfer and AWD, that thing will be great.
First time watching your channel, I will definitely be back. The only channels I really know that does bodies swaps are Casey's customs & Tom's refurbs.. But as soon as I'm done typing this I will be subscribing to your channel as well.
Coming along nicely bro. Just not so keen on the rear wheel arches in the cargo bed area, but I reckon some form of Tonneau Cover or similar would make the rear end look clean. Keep up the hard work man!
I really like those wheels on the el Camino body. If you could mill down the mounting face of the front wheel to suck it in a bit and clearance the caliper that would be a great option. As it sits not the right fit.
What was cooler the relocation of the filler or the free seat mod? Your Killin' it, The wheels need to go! Maybe 17s with your own custom paint work on them? to match our color scheme
Lol jackspania racing sold my a conversion harness. Good thing i took it apart. The whole ecu E pin was wired wrong and the whole C101 pin was wired wrong. It was 70 bucks so i couldnt be mad i rebuilt it

we also don't have poisonous snakes (or really any except for garden snakes) poisonous spiders, hurricanes tornadoes earthquakes, high crime , expensive homes any highways , much homelessness, basically the only downfall is it's a little boring (but i'm old so who cares ) and it gets cold for a few months in the winter and we get snow , but you just buy a snowmobile and dress warm and go have FUN!
The wheel are a great style. But to get everything in the right place, looks like a lot of work. Spacers are kind of hoopty, and it looks like some surgery on the wheel wells to make it look okay and not some kind of slammer ugly. Fuel filler door was trick AF. That kind of detail is what makes a car build come across as pro.
You should have put Lola to work too,Adam. lol Hope you can figure out those AR wheels to fit though. They look just right on an ElCam body. Or else like you said, go JDM.
Damn man it sucks that the wheels didn't work but if you can get something that looks like these but in a Japanese fit mint 👌 cuz these wheels match the mino perfect #bodesqaud #projectcrmino

I see you are starting your daughter young into the worst part of bodywork, the sanding…..good plan! I hope to see a fuelling video when this is all done.
I like the look of those wheels. Yes its a little off, but its just off enough for people who know anything about cars to say "wait a minute, whats up with that thing thats not normal"
Not trying to poo-poo the gas door... I've used that Hagan cap on dozens of projects over the years (I've never used their full filler door kit like you're using, as I was always doing something where those didn't quite work... but I really like the cap for the very reason you used it here). Having said that, the cap WILL NOT pass emissions testing in any of the 16 states that do testing. If the car ends up living in a 'scrutinizing' region, it will need a traditional cap to pass. Also, in case the CR-V starts throwing emissions/fuel system related codes, it may be the cap's trap door opening slightly as the tank vacuum goes up. Keep on welding.
Please keep those wheels shave the caliper down alittle to get the clearance 🙏🙏🙏🙏 those wheels look so good on the mino
Agreed, those wheels look great! Very American muscle. Maybe flare out the fenders a bit and fix that camber on the ass end?
I would also keep them, but maybe with narrower up front with beefy in rears.
Yeah, make them work if you can. Love that look
Make a table with the hood
Bruh, man could run a few millimeter of a spacer on the front and just roll the guards a little in the rear
Welcome to BodeVision the only channel on RUclips where there's always room for more head and busting out holes on the side of a bed.
Uncle says fixing the dent without bondo no way .love the direction it's headed🔥

There's no way that my father's brother's only nephew could come close to doing a build as ambitious as your 'Hondamino'. 👍👍
I put some late model jeep cherokee wheels on my modified crv and had too shave down the calipers a touch. Worked really well.
Can never go wrong with a set of torque thrust wheels on a camino!

Those wheels go hard especially if you paint the inners to match the body color and then shine up the chrome beauty rings.
Definitely looking good! I can’t wait to see this thing painted with a turbo Ripping burnouts!!! Great Job Bud!

I can't believe those wheels had the same bolt pattern as the CRV. 😂
Nice progress Adam. It's a pity these wheels have to go. They look great on the car. Have a great weekend, Dutch regards, Nico.
fender flares inc! looking good so far
Steel wheels with baby moon caps. Custom offsets powder coated 👌🏽
Love the wheels. I had them on my 65 mustang
Soo cool that gas lid deal came out sick
superb quality content
The wheel look good , just to much wall . Perhaps a thinner profile tyre but that's spending unnecessary money . Love the fuel filler cap 👌👌👍👍👍
Looking good mahman. Keep it up.
Absolutely awesome build. Be mindful of the g body squat at hard launch... that's how they used to get all the traction at the strip.
With this one being awd it should be decent

Definitely need a 16 or larger dia for the wheels. You can always roll the fender lip to give more space also.
Looking good ! Glad they got you straightened out on the hood . I emailed you about the Vette.
Here from the body swap fb page!
I’m not feeling the wheels as a JDM enthusiast…but keep up the great work man lovin the build
Looks good!
Why do the seats look better than the original CR-V?! Good job.
Yo the entry did it for me 😂😂😂😂 ⏪ it like 5x
Taught me something with the welded drop seat. 😮 always a lot you learn watching Bodevision. Sucks about the wheels though 😢
I would go with a JDM style wheel, mainly due to fitment. Something like a set of Wantanabe wheels would look good on it and keep with the vintage.
You need 90's triangles _wheels that is. love the seats.
i'm about to buy an mgb and go for a v8 swap, please stop making videos before i think i can do it lol. keep it up bro, love the work you put in
Some old school Watanabes are the same style as those wheels with a few more spokes. Those might look good.
Camber the front 4 degrees and run a 3mm spacer pls these wheels fit build so well , for the rear just roll and pull them make them fit

Look into a set of like 91 civic si seats. Not super new looking, but still great support.
Roll and pull the fenders!!!
Camber is all good!
You should just grind the caliper down to clear. You can also pull the fenders, I think it would look rad/kinda wide body

Why not make the rear floor of the bed on a hinge so you can have access to the CRV spare tire well?
