You are my idols in the flower farm world.
I appreciate your dedication and precision.
I can't wait for your new video and your next success.
Greetings from Serbia
You’re very welcome!
Those are going to look beautiful. I love that the entire family is involved in the planting.
I need a DRONE! May God Bless your farm!!
Loved seeing how you build the temporary raised beds! Great alternative to digging and then placing all the bulbs
The build The bed after planting is genius. I planted 6,000 tulips in October and it was body destroying. My knees and back took at least a month to recover
ah! Ouch!
I just love tulip bulbs. They are so beautiful. I'm glad you had a good little helper there with you.
Me too :)
Drone. I laughed when you mentioned Nicole and her toss in planting style because that is exactly what I was going to mention to you. She did do some last year to try it out and that is why she went all in this year. Whatever makes you happy though!
I am sure it works honestly. And it would definitely save some labor but I guess I just really enjoyed that couple hours of work with my daughter laying it out nicely. If we expand even more next year I might have to labor adjust
The snowy drone shot was great
See you soon tulips!
Great video! For the end of the rebar I glue a brightly pained styroform ball to avoid any potential mishaps. (sometimes I'm in too much of a hurry) I always love the drone footage
That's a great idea!
Flower Hill Farm probably got the idea from PepperHarrow Farm which did a video on the toss and cover method two years ago called"How To Plant An Easy U-Cut Tulip Garden | PepperHarrow". It was far less chaotic than Nicole's style and was also less work as they don't get down and roll them around into place at all. It's worth checking the video out to see how calm and relaxing it can be.
PepperHarrow has been successfully flower farming for over a decade, I think. It's also amazing how they were able to rebuild their farm last year after it was totally and completely taken out by a tornado.
I feel most comfortable with our method for now :)
Wow! That's a lot of tulips to plant. Can't wait to see them blooming.
I like the DRONE footage!
Lovely video. Drone shots are so nice!
I feel like everyone does tulips but almost nobody makes money on them. Ill live vicariously through you for tulips lol. Drone
definitely profitable for us
Great video!
Nice drone work.
Pretty drone footage
Looks good!
Thanks!
I just saw a video from Pepper Harrow.. they just tractor dumb the bulbs.
Yeah no thank you
Love your content!!! The tulips tips were a great resource for me....I am afraid I didn't get mine deep enough. time will tell.....Drone.
Nice to see you work together!
I do not want to lecture you, but PLEASE cover those sharp pointy rebar... i just see someone trip and fall on them, or stick an eye out (almost had that)... brrrr! Lo...ehh drone you!
We will! I don’t have to go back to that bed until March so we will cover them before harvesting time
My OCD would be in full eye twitch mode just dumping bulbs and covering them. 😂😂
can you link the rake please :) ty
DRONE!!
Hope you guys are safe out there. I wasn’t sure if you were near where the tornado hit.🙏🙏
Do you still save the bulbs when you plant that close?
nope they are composted
Drone
Farms have been ‘dumping’ bulbs in trenches using machinery for decades, it’s definitely not experimental. A tulip will grow just fine even planted upside down (not that I’m recommending that, but it will). You have to consider your time when calculating profitability. A good reminder not to get all your education from social media platforms.
Machinery farms operate very differently than 1/4 acre ones
Pepperharrow Farm has success with "dumping" bulbs in trenches. They are on RUclips. As a home gardener, I still take the time to place mine pointed side up. It would be an interesting experiment.
drone 😀
Love it!
Drone!!! ❤ the footage!!
