Great video!! I’m a first timer on your channel. I was looking to customize my crutches. You went step by step. I love when people actually go into detail.
You are so good at walking through the instructions and the process in an understandable way. And I know how important it is to personalise your aids. It matters. Joie ❣️😁🌿
I want to customise mine outdoor style green/ camouflage. Will have to see what works best. Broken hip so will have to be a user friendly method 😂 Great video
I have got a walking stick too - but I thought that having them propped against my body would lend extra support as I often lose motor skills, grip and feeling in my hands xx
ahhhh I see. You ever considered a roller walker with a seat? Might also be an option for you. Fold up easily for car rides, and you have a seat for if you feel a littler over exerted. Imagine the pimping possibilities with one too! :-) x
I hadn’t really considered one as my Nana has one, and so I had sort of associated it with old age - which is a bit short sighted of me! Rowan also recommended I consider one on my new year’s resolution video but I had already bought crutches by then. It is something I will bear in mind in the future. I do have a camping stool that slings over your back which I can take if we go out for a walk and I might need to site down xx
@@LizzieDeanMakes Not short sighted, a lot of the time it is the elderly that use them, but I have seen a few younger people in my area with mobility issues that use them. Often they are carting masses of shopping in them too! I've also seen and kinda want an adult trike :-) x
Thanks Matt - long-term - possibly even for life unless we find a medication that stops me falling over - I have a rare genetic balance disorder (neurological) so treating it is tricky xx
I use a walking stick and rollator now so I never used the other type of crutches but you could definitely do this with that kind of elbow crutch - you could want to make a padded band around the elbow ring and maybe a cushion for the hand grips instead of the underarm cushions I did in this video - good luck! Xx
Tag me in your customised crutches over on Instagram @lizzie_dean_makes - I would love to see what you do! Xx

Another very useful and fun video! Thanks Lizzie Dean!
Thank you! 😘😘 xx
Multi talented. 😀❣️
I love the colours you have chosen! Very Chic! Out of curiosity why that style of crutches and not walking sticks? :)

Sorry it was so long ago now I can’t remember and I use a rollator now instead so I can’t even go and look at them to check - good luck! Xx
