Wonderful video, save my life in I24 Monteagle TN, lost all the coolant and only had a couple of gallons.. Watched this video to disconnect the sensor and reached the rest area in 0.8 miles.. thank you, God bless you and RUclips 🙏🙏
One question. Why did you cut the zip ties? And a comment. Pretty rare those on the cascadia go bad. Usually the wire has a rub. Not usually an open circuit in tee sensor.
What if my alarm goes off and says low level , but it not at all ,it's still full to line, replaced pump 2 months ago . Checked harness all good. I haven't checked sensor, can I clean it if gross and reinstall it or is there a way to bypass it. 2017 cascadia
Good video but you honestly don’t have to drain any radiator fluid. If you’re quick enough, you can change it without draining any fluid. You will lose very little if you’re quick enough not necessary to get under the truck and drain. Thanks.
I feel you. But if a person is watching this video...not likely they are fast enough to beat gravitational pull.. lol. Plus gotta protect the environment
@@truckerslife1013 yes it goes up over 220 sometimes and then takes a while to drop back to normal, I changed the thermostat and the ran is working, someone suggested to flush the radiator
Not the temperature, but the coolant level. If the fluid level is dropping, there is a leak somewhere.. pressure test the system up to 15 psi and search for a leak

I was told that draining the coolant isn't necessary. Are u certain it is? It's the difference between doing it myself or having loves do it
I AM ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT IF YOU REMOVE THAT LEVEL SENSOR AND THE COOLANT IS ABOVE IT, YOU WILL GET WET
On the newer freightliner 2019 and up. It has a different surge tank and on those, you may remove the sensor without draining the coolant
@@truckerslife1013 hey thanks boss. I appreciate u taking the time to answer and help keep me dry lol
