Canik fixed these issues on the new models. The feed ramp is totally different. Polished and more open. No notch on the bottom of the barrel feedramp. Mine ate 115g winchester, magtech, CCI blazer, range rounds and 124g Hornady defense rounds no problem. Not one failure with 300 rounds so far. I just got it 2 weeks ago.
@@salazarraylucky for this guy. Mine was manufactured 5/24/24…..brought to the range for the first time shot 80round smooth like butter. Went the second time a few days ago. Multiple failure to feeds and racking hollow points they get caught on the feed ramp. I’m waiting for canik customer service to get back to me after I registered the warranty on the website. Also ordered the a new striker spring through Springco. Talked to a guy there and he assured me that that is the issue. Canik uses heavy duty springs in the MC9. So hopefully this striker lighter one that’s being shipped will solve it
I have only about 400 rounds out of mine and round number two after I bought it it jammed. After that I had one more jam and that was today about an hour ago. I know this vid is a year old so hopefully Canik made some modifications to the pistol but I will be taking my down today for cleaning. And I will look for these small imperfections. As it comes to the mag sticking it is my 12 round mag that sticks but once it’s loaded it doesn’t stick on release. I’m glad I seen this video. Thanks.
Glad I found this video. I’ve had my Canik about a week. The two things I didn’t like were the sights and the empty mag (no)drop. I replaced the sights with some Night Fision’s which was about a 14,000% improvement, but still had the mag issue. The tape and heat method didn't solve the problem 100%, but the mag drop is much much better. I put two layers of tape on the magazine, shoved it into the well and then used a heat gun on low setting for one minute on each side of the grip while watching like a hawk to ensure the heat caused no damage. I let the gun cool, removed the taped mag and inserted the untaped mag and the drop was better, but I still wasn’t satisfied. I added a third layer of tape and went through the process again. (I had tried three layers initially, but I couldn’t fit the mag into the well.) There was now a vast improvement releasing a magazine than there was before starting this process. Not 100%, but darn good. I was tempted to try a fourth layer of tape, but decided to wait and give the gun a break, give it some time and see if things improve on their own. If not then there’s no reason I can’t do four layers of tape later. I don’t know where you found this solution, but I appreciate you sharing it.
14,000 times better huh? 😂 thanks for watching and I'm glad you've found a work around your canik cuz honestly this little gun is a beast. I ended up sending mine back in to Canik and that's how I ensured 100% fix on all the little stuff that was keeping me from enjoying it. I appreciate you sharing your strategy! 💯
I had this same issue. I racked a few rounds through it and noticed the casing was super scored in the ejection lip. The ejector was razor sharp and not allowing rounds to feed. I took a jeweler file to the ejector very lightly and have no issues with it since.
Had similar issue and takes to a old timer @ the range. He said to only shoot 124 grain for @ least 500 rounds then use other higher grain ammo. That shit worked.
Bought mine 2 weeks ago. Loved the size, fit my hand perfectly…and then I went to the range the next day. Put through it about 40 rounds and had 6 failures to feed. Went back the next day, put through it around 60 rounds had 8 failures to feed. Two days later, 30 rounds and 6 failures to feed! Btw, and I tried different ammos. Took it to my armory and they send it back! It’s frustrating I have the TP9 SA and have put through it about 1000 rounds, give and take, and have never had ANY problem, it works flawlessly!
@@Grizzlyman420how did yours happen right out of the box or ? Man I fired 124 grain ammo the other day and it failed to go into battery ..crazy man I went to the range after I first got it put about 300 rounds through it so far not a single malfunction with the range ammo 115 grain..absolutely crazy
@@JosephCrawford-v2m yeah it was straight out of the box on both mc9s The first one was horrible! Out of battery issues and the rounds were nose diving so hard on the feed ramp chunks were missing. Canik sent me a new one and the first few mags I had out of battery but no hangups on the feed ramp. The second mc9 I had issues in the first couple mags then I ran 50 rounds of cheap Tula and blazer brass no issues but it’s been sitting ever since. The QC on guns over the past 5-7 years has been absolute dog shit!

I polished the feed ramp and then had no more failures to feed. They will be a lot more reliable once they start producing these in Florida. My favorite ccw by far.
stick mag was an easy fix for me. I noticed the the mag release button doesn't have enough travel and it was creating friction that would keep it from dropping freely. With the slide off I used a dremmel with a small grinding stone and on low speed I trimmed the mag lock tab. I stopped often to check function. It didn't take long to get it to function perfectly. I couldn't justify the tape and heat gun trick. I didn't want to risk warping something. Worse case with my way was having to order a new mag release if I messed up. I didn't and I am thrilled with the gun now. I had the out of battery issue also but that was even easier to fix and I didn't buy or replace anything.
I sold mine to the gun store. I ran about 200 rounds through it. Then next range trip ran 115 fmj and jhp and 124 jhp. Tons of issues. I do like the gun and concidered keeping as a range gun. Dangerous to carry due to the unreliability.
I have a Muddy River Tactical and a We the people holster so far. I am left-handed. This is why I chose these two companies. If you have any other options to look at, post it. Thank you for your review.
Shout out to your brother who came with you to the range for some ballistic therapy. He may not be one to ever carry a self-protection device, but he still supports you, and knows that you will always have his back! Hope your Canik continues to protect you and yours in the years to come!
That's what I've been saying. It's not a "beginners" gun. Especially if you are running light ammo through it. I'm over 400 rounds through mine (cheap & light to premium carry ammo) and have experienced zero issues. I shoot a lot. Had a friend who doesn't shoot much try it and he had 2 failure to feed issues in one magazine. The MC9 likes experienced shooters who know how to handle a handgun.
Holy shit, your 12 rounds weren't dropping out full of ammunition? Jesus, neither my two-tone or black MC9 does that. I thought the issue was after the magazine was empty. All my magazines (8 total MC9 magazines and a whole box of 15-20 round magazines drop completely empty). Wow, that is a whole new way of looking at it. I had no idea, full magazines weren't dropping out. That is nuts!! Have you tried brand new out of the RETAIL packaging magazines?
I think your boy may have contributed to the return to battery issue due to being weak wrist. On the failure to fire, it appeared that you had a solid strike making it an ammo issue
I’ve had mine just under a month and put 800 rds through it and had 2 failure to feed issues within the first 100. Honestly think it was the ammo (Remington UMC)cause I’ve had identical issues with my Glock 26,Sig250,and G2C using the same ammo.
I have five caniks in total between me and my fiancée we’ve had to swap out her guide rod for her MC9 but other than that no problems what so ever I know you get what you pay for but this is still best bang for the buck folks say they aren’t fans but will spend about 300-600 dollars to get their Glock just to the way they like it Ijs lol. Good video and insanekydex creations have MC9 holsters with ready to ship and custom options
I was going to buy this and ended up walking out with a g26 lol. I’ll probably still end up getting one. The magazine not dropping out freely was one thing that steered me to the g26.
Can't go wrong with the 26! MC9 in my opinion is better...when it works properly lol right now that's my only hang up tho is the magazine issue. I'm gonna try a couple things to try and fix it but yea the 26 is a solid choice
Roughly 150-200 rounds put in no issues at all… until today. 😢 I am having numerous failure to feed issues, thought it was the spring in the mag I swapped to the 15 found one, pulled it out and threw the small mag back in and still failing to feed or a slight hiccup if it does feed like it’s catching on the entry to the barrel.
Mannnn my first one was so bad! The bullets would nose dive so hard on the feed ramp chunks were missing and out of battery issues. They sent me a brand new and my first two mags I had out of battery issues again. I’ll stick with Glock and smith&wesson. Guns aren’t cheap anymore and companies need to up their QC. It’s like they’re not even shooting these to test
This is really bumming me out as I’ve had nothing but good times with my Mete SFT and was eyeing this as a carry option. Not buying a gun that needs this much work to be reliable. Wonder when they’ll get it right on a new one. Still would give it a chance if they sort it out. It doesn’t cut it that you can only rely on it with a nearly perfect grip and technique. Too many scenarios where you’re not going to have those things happen in a split second decision to save your life, even for very experienced shooters. It should be pull the trigger, it goes bang, no matter how you’re holding it.
Nice his grip was loose. . I have 250 threw mines. My mags was getting hung up until I put. Painter tape on. Then use a blow dryer around the grip. Now my mags drop free
Put 500 rounds through in one range visit, noticed that it runs great until you start rapid firing then it seems to heat up and slide isnt as smooth.. put some oil on it and back to perfection. I guess im saying clean it after use and oil it really good and runs exceptionally well. Have over 1000 rounds through in just a few weeks and have started just shooting it strictly one handed to be better prepared of a oh shit moment
I noticed they happened at the end of the magazine usually a couple rounds away from empty. Might be a combination of magazine and extraction pin burring. I read somewhere where someone opened up the top of the magazine just a little and fixed their feed issues. If you have other caniks the magazines are interchangeable and see if its the magazine causing it. The heating of the well and tape just squeezes the magazine and slims it a little which could be done in a vice even just slightly compress it. Also have you ever tried different grains and brands to see if it's an "I hate that ammo" situation with the gun? I see very few issues on videos with this MC and far more no issues so a few problems aren't indicative of the thousands already out there. I have the SC and TP9 SF and the SF had a very stiff spring that took a while to quit misbehaving as well as I left it locked back to for a couple days to give it a little help and now it runs flawless and never a single issue with the SC just want it a little smaller which will be the MC but they aren't easy to find as of right now.
Thank you for this Video, from the video time mark 5:07 and 5:32, and 5:44, and 6:43 It still fails to go to into battery, even after "Their fix" So I'll hold off of the purchase
Just got one based on all the good videos but failed to see the issue videos. Well just grabbed mine magazine does eject. But with round in chamber pull slide half way back it doesnt go back into battery. Both with or without mag in. Did same with my 320, 365, hellcat, glock 43 none have this shortcoming. I havent shot the gun yet but not sure id every be confident carrying it as long as it does this even if after shooting it it perform ok. Just knowing this issue is present is enough to not carry it. Guess ill be calling canik cs tomorrow. Hopefully they can fix mine so i can have confifemce to carry it.
Oh and the holster… I hate it😂 I found one through Black Scorpion Gear. I didn’t like the one they sent me so I ordered other parts for it to make it more concealable.
I've already got like 3000 rounds through mine and I don't have an issue at all. I don't understand how so many people are having issues with this pistol? I guess I just got lucky or something
Can't tell you how excited I was when this was announced. But it's pretty clearly not ready for prime time yet. I love Canik but I'm not gonna pay to beta test for them. I'll wait a year till they get their QC up to par on this one.
Was messing around with my MC9 and realized that my mag wasn't releasing properly because of the weird mag release button design. As i gripped the pistol, my hand was pushing against the other side of the mag release, causing it to not fully disengage. No pistol I've owned had a mag release that worked like that. I'm baffled.
Yea it does get in the way sometimes. In the video while releasing the mag I tried to keep my hands off the other side to be fair. Not sure if it was noticeable or not lol
I really want the mc9. I'm torn between that or the Shadow cr920p. For the price of the shadow I can get two caniks( one for both my wife and I) might look at other models until canik gets this all ironed ( or polished lol) out
The CR920 has had it's fair share of issues like the MC9. I will not be carrying either and I own two MC9's and a CR920 Elite. They all shoot and fire fine, but I am sticking with my Glock 19.5 MOS with a GDS. I do have my third/fourth backup as a Canik Mete SF and a Canik SFT Pro, and they are awesome. But for me, I have to be able to trust the guns. I picked firearms that shoot 9mm, .300 blackout and 5.56/.223. My two suppressors can shoot them, and I use those as my defense ammunition. Having all Glock's and AR-9's and 15's that shoot the same round is important as they use the same magazine's which is important to me. My shotguns at all 12ga and are tactical with 8-12 rounds which extra on the stock. I am an FFL and own a Barrett .50BMG 82A1 for just in case! lol... I sold most of my Shadow Systems MR920, DR920 and XR920's because I just didn't trust them. I have tried Staccato's and I don't think they are anything special. But I have never been a 1911/2011/2311 type firearm owner.
I have put close to around 500 rounds through mine between Winchester white box and reloads and its been running flawless and im able to shoot it great and fast. I am a fan
I grined off a couple of my extractor spring coils, because that was also causing unnecessary friction, and got my new recoil spring...Mine has been flawless every since...No failure whatsoever.
@S.O.G when i first got the holster, the retention was way to tight, but I've adjusted it a bit, and after about 50 draws, it's smoothed out. (Its not a tier 1 holster). Fits the gun really well. Great straight up from appendix draw position. And it's as comfortable/uncomfortable as any other appendix rig. Good quality cidex. I trust it. Just need to adjust it, blue lock tight the retention screws. And draw from it a bunch to smooth out the cidex.
Clean and lightly oil it, it'll work flawlessly. Empty mags do stick a bit. Shouldn't be throwing them on ground anyway, thats just not how you should handle them. Getting them good and dirty then jamming them into gun isn't exactly a good idea.
@@malolat Ok I would contact Canik for a new recoil spring and check the rail from the frame. If it's slightly off compared to the metal part of the rail, you could trim it down a bit by sanding it lightly
I guess where I'm most disappointed with the MC9 is that they have been promoting it saying that its been 3 years in development and they are obviously have a few issues with this release i.e., not returning to battery, mags not dropping freely, etc... Maybe a little more R&D was needed or QC. Not sure. I bought the Mete SFX about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. Never a single issue so I decided to give the MC9 a try and have been somewhat disappointed. I had to contact Century Arms because mine was not ejecting the mags without having to physically pull them out of the well. They did say they would replace the mags and gave me a FedEx return label to return them. Then I read in another forum that if you put tape on both sides of the mag and then insert it into the well, and heat it up with a heat gun, and then cool it down, that it will then work as it was intended. It did work! Crazy! So at this point I'm not returning them. Fortunately, I have not personally had an issue with mine returning to battery. I was just hoping for more from Canik since they've come a long way since the beginning. I hope they correct the issues quickly and aren't backsliding. Time will tell.
I Think everyone is just not grasping the big picture here. Canik has come a long way, and they have put out great products. I firmly believe that the Mc9 became such a hot item, and in such high demand everywhere in just a short time, that somewhere along the mass production process, they lost a bit of their Q.C. process. Even though it's just knick, knack stuff, the Mc9 is still a great tool for everyday carry. I personally have not experienced any such shortcomings with mine. Thanks, fellas, for letting me chime in on the matter! I hope all your issues get resolved!
@@S.0.GI used painters tape on the sides of the mag. Two layers thick on both sides. Use the 15 round mag not the 12 round so you have something to grab to get it back out because it will be tight. Remove the slide and barrel. Use a hair dryer or a low temp heat gun and put hot air through the magwell until it's too hot to hold (wear gloves). Now force the taped mag into the magwell. After that place the frame in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Remove the magazine from the frame and remove the tape. Mag should drop free after that.
@@jakegarcia3573I have found a few online. Some from canik and some others as well. I tried to see if I could find a recoil reduction kit for it but that seams to be out of the country so I won’t try that yet. Keep looking they are out there and if its under warranty just call and let them know
Im glad you called out the fact that he was limp wristing it and thats why it didn't cycle 100 percent for him .. I have the holosun eps carry greendot non solar panel and it fastens right to the slide co witnesses to the irons and i have to say i like optics now
@@S.0.G Sorry man friends don't lie haha. If you are not happy with your gun you can always try a glock 26 I have had good luck with mine so far but your canik is a good looking gun.
Light primer strike could be due to Winchesters degrading quality? Idk if you ran Win but if so could be the issue. That primer looked like it was struck pretty well. It wasn’t a failure to go into battery the second time, it was a failure to bring friends to the range that know how to operate firearms 😂. He didn’t just let the slide go, he rode the slide into battery… jeez man all these “canik issues” people have. Not saying the gun didn’t have any issues but like i said before half of these are issues with friends who you don’t want to have next to you in a firefight. Like you’re buddy with a 9 year olds grip from the first video…
All these kinks may be worked out soon. first batches sometimes have issues. All I can say is "limp wrist" does not always apply. G19 has never failed , limp or not. Just saying they work. At the end of the day my 2 cents is fundamental - Guns should shoot. Period...I dont care for all the "it doesnt like this ammo or that ammo" , Its not alive , So just shoot. LOL (kill me in the comments if you will ) but thats my thought. Im not a Glock fanboy but there is no taking away from the fact that a G19 is gonna pop off whatever you put in it. Dirty , clean, steel , brass , aluminum, JHP, FMJ, etc etc. Canik may work this out the same way Sig did with the P365...Hard to wait to get one tho. May need to shoot both 2 decide. These Vids help so much tho!
I agree 100% man! Luckily they are becoming more available and I know they've had a fair share of complaints so hopefully they've heard enough from customers to make the necessary changes

LOL - cant deny it just Works.
Great video bro, all my Canik’s did the same. Be careful what you feed it because they were made to only take Nato, CIP, or SAAMI rounds. Canik also doesn’t do well with any grain under 124 grain. Even though I feed 4 of my brand new Canik’s the right ammo, they had multiple jams. I even locked the slide back for weeks and still fte, stovepipes you name it. Contacted Canik and they sent me new guide rods and recoil springs. Still had issues! I do admit they have awesome triggers out the box plus all the accessories are cool! However they need to do better with their QC. Great guns at the range but never would I trust them with my personal protection means. IE home or self defense. All my Canik’s came from Academy or big gun retailers and still had issues. My ammo was new and everything but still had problems. I have Glocks, Walthers, Springfield’s, HK’s, etc. Honestly Glock is superior to all of those. They really do work! Now of course any gun can jam, but Canik needs to do better. You can google and RUclips Canik issues and it’s a lot. I really tried with them because I loved their guns! But I literally sold or traded all mines and no issues out my other guns! Now yours may be ok and perfect. Just put about 200 rounds and see if there are hiccups. Not a fan boy to no firearm brand at all. Just speaking from 10 plus years of firearms experience. That’s why some Canik’s are so cheap and include all the goodies. It’s because they put emphasis on all that and none on reliability. Henceforth the cliche, “You get what you pay for.” Any gun you buy make sure to read the manual fully. Surprisingly you’ll find very informative and needed info. Keep the content coming your channel is what’s needed bro!
Got upgraded Ben stoeger recoil spring that was in my Tp9sfx that's in my rival now and it will not malfunction no matter the ammo 1,500+ rounds it will out preform your glock in reliability any day of the week 😂 Pro shooter for canik Nils out shoots $4,000+ pistols with the rival has MULTIPLE gold medals with it and the tp9sfx lol nice try though 😂
Mine went back to canik 2 times before they said send it in we will replace it. Now 6 weeks layer still no gun called they said they are waiting on guns. 1st canik likely last. Hellcat very similar and proven.
It took Canik to replace my original MC9 2 times before getting it right. Now I have no flaws and the gun works great however given my experience with the first 2, I was a bit weary to trust it. I'm sure it's fine because canik is truly a great brand but it'll take a bit for me to trust this model 100% given my situation. I'm sure they can make things right with the firearm, but that doesn't mean it'll make you trust it ya know
@S.0.G absolutely correct. If your life is on the line are you going to carry a gun with known issues. I will likely offer the dealer to buy it or trade it when comes in.
That return to battery issue is unacceptable. Canik taking a dip in brand name cause of it. I’ve only heard good things about Canik’s pistols besides the MC9
Yea apparently the quality control has something to do with the fact that the MC9 wasn't imported but made here in the US. Not sure how true that this but either way I agree!
@@Ercxgamez I just shot 100 rounds of AAC 124gr, 50 rounds of 115gr Fiocci, and 25 rounds of 115gr Hornady Critical Defense. I had 20ish fail to return to battery with the 124gr, 10 with the 115gr Fiocci, and 1 with the Hornady.

5:08 You have a terrible flinch! Yikes! Unreliable guns don't help at all. Remove the extractor and polish the extractor "hook". Don't file it, polish it. Use a small piece of of wood, wrap it in 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and gently give the inside of the hook a few strokes. Then wrap the stick in a cleaning patch, apply some polishing compound and polish it to a mirror finish. Disassemble the pistol and inspect the frame and slide rails very carefully. With the barrel and recoil spring removed, move the slide on the frame, feeling for any spots that "drag" or hang up. Pay special attention to the polymer frame around and _behind_ the slide rails in the frame. If there are any burrs or bumps, you can remove them with a Dremel tool or small files. I would polish the feed ramp myself, just to be sure, but I really don't think that is, or was, the problem.
Yup as stated in the video it was my brother shooting, who's never shot before. But yes, that was the problem. Tons of reported similar issues and canik addressed it to me personally. But everyone is entitled to their opinion 🤷🏽♂️
My mc9 started doing failure to go into battery and light primer strikes after 250 rds I got rid of it asap! Went back to my very reliable g43x/48 I say that cause I use 43x lower for both uppers ! Cause my life is worth it imo! Great video bud 👊💪👍🏼

Dude, things like that should never be happening. I have one and have NO issues. I'd show them that video and ask for your money back. It's called the Lemon Law.
These issues are still happening and canik is not improving at all. Just bought a mc9 and it is a mess. Failure to feed , light primer strikes ,does not lock back at all. The elephant in the room is…. What ammo were you using? I’ve had no probs with mag Tek 115 grain target ammo and critical defense h points. For the critics out there…. 500 rounds is is my personal minimum before rendering judgement on ANY GUN. Gotta break it in first! :-)
Come on man why you gotta do Canik like that 😂 they are actually really impressive. I had a few hiccups but now that they've been addressed, I have no complaints....other than the mag thing haha
@@S.0.G So The way I fixed it is pretty simple. 1. Wrap duck tape around 1 of the mags dont over do it, going twice around the mag was enough for me. 2. Using a blower apply heat to the grip again dont over do it, 30 segs or so and move around the grip appling same heat all around. 3. Shove that mag in even if you have to apply force. 4. Heat the grip a bit more 15 secs or so. 5. Let it cool down. Be aware the mag is gonna be pretty hard to pull out if it too hard apply some heat and pull. 6. Put in the other mag and see if it now drops freely. I had to do it twice because I was to gentle the 1st time. But now they both drop like its hot lol

I had the same problem with my Taurus gx4 and took a fine straight file to the extractor edge and fixed it right up
Had similar issue and takes to a old timer
@ the range. He said to only shoot 124 grain for @ least 500 rounds then use other higher grain ammo. That shit worked.
Canik actually suggest this for their guns.
Yea I agree. None of my Caniks have ever given me an issue. Hopefully yours get fixed

The first one was horrible! Out of battery issues and the rounds were nose diving so hard on the feed ramp chunks were missing.

I polished the feed ramp and then had no more failures to feed. They will be a lot more reliable once they start producing these in Florida. My favorite ccw by far.
And why will they be more reliable when made in FL
@@ammogiant824 Because they will be made in the USA instead of Turkey.
stick mag was an easy fix for me.
What did you do for the battery issue ?
Holding off on purchasing one of these until they fix all the issues I've been hearing about. I'll stick to my TP9 elite SC until then.
Yea that's the smart thing to do. I was too impatient lol
I sold mine to the gun store. I ran about 200 rounds through it. Then next range trip ran 115 fmj and jhp and 124 jhp. Tons of issues. I do like the gun and concidered keeping as a range gun. Dangerous to carry due to the unreliability.

They did the same to mine. They also broached the magazine well. It's working great now.
That's good to hear! My mag well seems to be fine it's getting caught up on the mag release. Might try to file it down some
@@S.0.G mine was too and that was what they said they did to fix it.
💯
@@S.0.G I put another 100+ rounds of cheap 115gr through the MC9 yesterday with zero issues.
Gotta hold it like a man. However it’s a good safety feature against the Limpwrist psycho’s shooting up the place. 👀
This is bullshit I own 2 and shoot both and one keeps having rounds get stuck under the feed ramp. The other runs perfect no problems.
Yes I have! I've tried magazines from my other Caniks and nothing
I think your boy may have contributed to the return to battery issue due to being weak wrist.
On the failure to fire, it appeared that you had a solid strike making it an ammo issue
I agree! Thanks for watching brother 👍🏽
I’ve had mine just under a month and put 800 rds through it and had 2 failure to feed issues within the first 100. Honestly think it was the ammo (Remington UMC)cause I’ve had identical issues with my Glock 26,Sig250,and G2C using the same ammo.
That's good man I hope it continues to be reliable for you I wish mine was lol

I was going to buy this and ended up walking out with a g26 lol. I’ll probably still end up getting one. The magazine not dropping out freely was one thing that steered me to the g26.
Can't go wrong with the 26! MC9 in my opinion is better...when it works properly lol right now that's my only hang up tho is the magazine issue. I'm gonna try a couple things to try and fix it but yea the 26 is a solid choice
Never second guess buying a Glock. Go home with the comfort of knowing it'll go bang every time.

@@victorrodriguez2806 Glocks have had their problems too. All handgun manufacturers have had problems with their guns at one point or another.
Yup that's what happened to mine too. At least you enjoyed it for 200 rounds when new tho lol
Yea I agree 100% with that!
You're going to carry that gun with light primer strength 😳

Put 500 rounds through in one range visit, noticed that it runs great until you start rapid firing then it seems to heat up and slide isnt as smooth.. put some oil on it and back to perfection.
I guess im saying clean it after use and oil it really good and runs exceptionally well.
Have over 1000 rounds through in just a few weeks and have started just shooting it strictly one handed to be better prepared of a oh shit moment
Definitely! I be doin the same thing lol
Yea I noticed the same thing! It's the first canik that's ever given me issues

Try loosening the spring on the ejector. I saw another video where that was the fix for the fail to return to battery.
I'm glad they fixed it.
I really want the mc9. I'm torn between that or the Shadow cr920p. For the price of the shadow I can get two caniks( one for both my wife and I) might look at other models until canik gets this all ironed ( or polished lol) out
Apparently the issues were only with the pre release ones. I'm actually getting another one to see
The CR920 has had it's fair share of issues like the MC9.
Only time failure to function happened the same person was shooting I’d say user error of not knowing how to hold a gun properly
I have put close to around 500 rounds through mine between Winchester white box and reloads and its been running flawless and im able to shoot it great and fast. I am a fan
Good to hear man! 💪🏽
I grined off a couple of my extractor spring coils, because that was also causing unnecessary friction, and got my new recoil spring...Mine has been flawless every since...No failure whatsoever.
I got a slimfit holster for my mc9 fitted for a light and optic. Took about 4 weeks to get to me.
How are you liking it?
How much did they charge you to ship the pistol to them for repair?

WHAT WAS YOUR ISSUE THAT YOU HAD TO SEND IT OUT?.?
Definitely agree! Keep hearing about tape on the mag and hear gun fix is it literally just a piece of tape around the whole mag and then heat?
They're new. Made in Turkey, sold by Century Arms and just like SIG they let the customers be the crash test dummies.

Light primer strike could be due to Winchesters degrading quality? Idk if you ran Win but if so could be the issue. That primer looked like it was struck pretty well.
Just got mine haven’t shot it yet hopefully I don’t have any issues
@@Ercxgamez I just shot 100 rounds of AAC 124gr, 50 rounds of 115gr Fiocci, and 25 rounds of 115gr Hornady Critical Defense. I had 20ish fail to return to battery with the 124gr, 10 with the 115gr Fiocci, and 1 with the Hornady.
@@Tom-o5q5pyep they’re junk!!!! Canik sent me a second one and still has issues. I almost took it outside and put it on my skeet shooter. Junkkk! I can’t even sell it cuz I feel bad for whoever gets these
He had a bit of that limp wrist going on 🤣
kia model?
Telluride 👍🏽

How do you like it? I thought about getting one

That's why I wanted it lol
I appreciate the support brother! 💯
You should’ve told them about the mag release
Yea idk how I forgot about that!
@@S.0.G I sent mine in for the magwell issue and return to battery issue. The notes on mine state they broached the magwell and the mag seems to move a lot smoother now.
Honestly I would request a brand new gun from them
I tried. But they "fixed" it and sent it back. Honestly haven't had issues since. Other than the mag thing
I had to send my canik back after 3 mags it shit itself😢
Mine also failed on the third mag.
If you're brother had a smile on his face? I bet he did! The next time you take him shooting, and you will. Make him pay for the ammo! It won't be long and he won't be anti gun anymore. Teach him right, stay safe and have fun.
He loved it! 💯
Idk who that was tea cupping but please teach them proper grip lol 😂😂😂😂
That would be my bro 🤣
10 day old video???

Sounds about right!
2 misfires in one range trip doesn’t sound like a good carry gun to me
I didn't have any but my brother had a couple. Keep in mind he's only shot maybe twice ever lol
Dude, things like that should never be happening. I have one and have NO issues. I'd show them that video and ask for your money back. It's called the Lemon Law.
I agree! I think they've fixed these issues now luckily tho. After 3 replacements they sent me one that works perfect lol
that makes me happy for you because that's the way it should be. Thanks for letting me know
@@S.0.GNope, think I'll stick with my Taurus. Cost less and seems less problematic than the mc9, can't be talking shit about the ole g3c. 😊
These issues are still happening and canik is not improving at all. Just bought a mc9 and it is a mess. Failure to feed , light primer strikes ,does not lock back at all. Even pushing up on the slide release. Just a total failure. Worst gun that i have ever seen. Now I'm stuck with it. I have a feeling it will get many trips back to canik. Please avoid this company if at all possible.
@@canascrews
I definitely understand the frustration. It's the first model from canik that has given me issues but luckily I was able to get them to resolve it and honestly it's my go to EDC now
@@S.0.G I’m hoping 🤞. Glad to see that you got yours worked out. There are quite a few videos out how to fix these issues so I think I can get it running smoothly if Canik does not take care of it.
@@canascrews
Yea there are a few fixes. I honestly didn't even bother I'd rather have canik know they screwed up and figure out how to get it right then to fix it myself. Supposedly after November is when they had a new batch that were supposed to be free of malfunctions. Hopefully you get it resolved cuz it's a great gun!
Agreed. Total garbage.
Wtf? You said no hiccups. Your joint wouldn’t go into the battery. I wouldn’t rely on that in a life saving situation.
Yea that was my lil bro limp wristing it. It was his first time shooting I think lol but since Canik sent me the updated one I've had 2000+ shots with no issues. I hated how many issues it had at first but it's now back into my rotation
The elephant in the room is….
What ammo were you using?
I’ve had no probs with mag Tek 115 grain target ammo and critical defense h points.
For the critics out there…. 500 rounds is is my personal minimum before rendering judgement on ANY GUN. Gotta break it in first! :-)
124 Sniper is what we used
masada slim
Canik f’n up 😒
Yea they did with this one! They released it too early i think
Check out Muddy River Tactical for a good holster. I enjoy their IWB.
Appreciate the recommendation 👍🏽
Shadow cr920
It's a solid choice
That's definitely on my list. The wife would not be happy.....until she shot it.
It’s a Canik - what do you expect? Reliability out of the box? 😂
Come on man why you gotta do Canik like that 😂 they are actually really impressive. I had a few hiccups but now that they've been addressed, I have no complaints....other than the mag thing haha
Must be a Glock Fanboy hating on the Canik...😂
Never had an issue with any of mine
If you didn't know, I never had a problem with any Caniks out the box, but this new model. Now go "GLOOOOCK GLOOOOCK 🐔 "
Are you gripping with your left hand? Looks like your thumb is under it. Use combat grip. Good luck.
Yea not sure what was going on there 😂 appreciate it!
Bro grip the gun then push the button. Should drop right out. I have same problem
Should always take pictures of before and after when sending a product back to the manufacturer.....
Good tip!
I found a fix for the mags not dropping
What's the fix?

Appreciate it! I actually did try this method but didn't work out lol I posted a short on how I did it but maybe I did something wrong idk
Constructive criticism from a professional photographer....
Clean your lenses often while filming, the driving scene looked like a steamy shower..
💯
Keep on to your brother and get him on the 2a bandwagon
Definitely 👍🏽
You're filming on your phone while driving, and you can actually see your lane assist going off just as you passed someone. Maybe stop doing that.
There was an ant on the road I was trying to avoid sorry 😂 jokes aside thanks appreciate the lookout. Got a GoPro I'll be mounting on the dash from here on out to maintain safety 👍🏽
