It's wonderfully thrilling Nick has remained in this media profession documenting electronic music instruments and synthesizers for these decades through today. :)

Dear Nick, hope your wrist will heal without complications. Get better soon! And take daily 200 microgramm vitamin K2 ! This helps the enzimes to deposit calcium in the bones. And also helps to remove calcium from soft tissues where not needed: artheries, lungs, kidneys, etc.... Trust me I'm jazz pianist, but work nutraceutical segment, as application technologist. Very nice synth and ditto review. Hope they've changed their support model though, which has been my main reason for not buying their gear anymore. You have to register to get firmware updates. And then they would charge you for transferring ownership. Not a nice way of doing business, as far as I'm concerned.

Not comparable at all, first Mother 32 is not digitally controlled, this changes everything, from midi control of every parameter, presets, editors for PC/MAC and far more comprehensive modulation matrix, so this Pro-X in some way is more modular than the semi modular Mother32 (30 sources to 30 destinations 16 slots matrix). you get 3 osc instead of 1 you can play 3 voice paraphonic (and with wave morphing) two types of filters that change the complete character of the synth (OTA and SSI) much more modulation sources including 3 loopable ENV compared to only one, Much more advanced sequencer with parameter lock and almost infinite number of layers, ARP with 10 modes, 3 separated effect processors with 12 effects to choose from each...
But it will never be your Mother32 so comparing synths (like i just did) is stupid :)
Just because they are both "synths" doesn't mean they are the same, It's like comparing cello and violin, there is no better, it's just a different tool, ideally get them both.
*Also finding fault in something new just because you chose something else is also stupid (like i also did) i'm not saying you did this (you did say it's "expensive") but it is very common in comment sections.

      For example:

      - 2 Filters - OTA and SSI,
      - 3 loopable and retrigger envelopes,
      - 3 voices paraphonic,
      - 16 slots matrix with 30 sources and 30 destinations.
      - 3 separated effect processors with 12 effects to choose from each,
      - Separate analog drive,
      - Advanced paraphonic 64-step sequencer
      - Arp with 10 modes,
      - Fully digitally controlled,
      - Analog Input that can run true all this, Stereo Out, Headphone out, CV/GATE In/Out
      - Free editor for PC/MAC and healthy documentation…

@@synthcat7019 Nop, it's just a list of features I find that prove my point, with this one you get more than ever. wanna prove me wrong? suggest other synths that come close for the same price.
Your assumptions are based on nothing factual. I don't think you understand the meaning of digitally controlled analog and what is involved in manufacturing it, or this expensive signal path and massive modulation/sequencer/dsp effects...
But I can read from the way you wrote you don't want to discuss, it's probable you just ordered something else or thinking about ordering something else and you find fault in this one to make you feel better about your decision, or maybe you are just very poor?
Bottom line is, if you don't have experience in manufacturing and running a business involving this type of instrument, your assumption is a pointless remark.

Only you can decide if you don't like the user interface for your current (gen 1) UNO Pro and are willing to pay $200 to upgrade. Also, I am not sure how you can receive the full $400 for a used synth so the difference might be more than you think (unless the retailer has some sort of upgrade policy).
