We did overnight calls, and although the workload was huge, having that kind of responsibility helped me become a better radiologist overall. Just for the sake of curiosity. How big is the workload for overnight calls in the USA? (approx. number of CTs, US, MRI, etc?)
Your point on not ranking based on overnight call has made me realise how many other things I include in my own rank criteria (even for things outside of medicine) that may not be as essential to the final decision. Also, I was unaware of Emergency Radiology being associated with a high stress and high acuity enviornment, I may have just found my dream subspecialty hahaha Thank you for sharing your perspective!!
