- The 44th running of IndyCar's second most prestigious race, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, is this weekend. To celebrate, I am running a 21 lap race with the 2016 IndyCar grid at the Long Beach street circuit in Project CARS 2. Can I take on the mantle of "King of the Beach" in Scott Dixon's #9 Target Chevy?

This was most expensive track to make in the game, flew artists out there trace weekend, hired laser scanning and drone photography teams. Spent lotta time perfecting the cameras to match IMSA and Indycar footage. Hand-crafted AI lines etc, crown jewel of the game
mrn4s I found myself watching the trackside camera more than the in car. SMS did a fantastic job on this track. If only all their tracks were of this quality.
I personally worked on Road America, Zuhai and couple others. Went for those low angles really following the cars into and out of the corners, tryna capture the braking duels. Hope you guys like it and v thanks for the c support. We gotta do a GI fund me and help get David an X1X machine so he can run full fields!

Great video as always. I race VR on this track and it is so much fun. You really get a sense of how intimidating it can get when inches away from the walls out of the corners.

Really wish SMS would scan and add the IR-18 to the game.
A few more actual IndyCar circuits would be nice too, especially seeing as it's supposed to be the official game of IndyCar.
I play this in VR and I always forget how nice it looks until I see it in 2D. I ran laps on this track right before the race with my son(4) and then we watched NBCSN's excellent coverage. It was cool seeing him react to all the familiar landmarks when we were watching the race live. Thanks for the upload!

So excited for this weekend,heading out tomorrow night for the 300 mile road trip to long beach! Missed it last year because my daughter was born,but now we are going wife baby and all.going to be fun with her,one year old and she's already been to Laguna seca twice and now long beach.
When will the new IndyCar chassis be available for download in the game I wonder. I'm tired of seeing those old large winged monsters on the circuit...

What is the push to pass button on PS4 for this game?

Dont blowovers happen from a lack of downforce causing that to work against the aero dynamics which lifts the car into the air.... I'm asking just to be sure cuz some folks say downforce some ppl say aero Idk its confusing my 11 year old brain

Harley Gray If you get the settings right and comfortable. It’s different for everyone though. When you do Indycar is really fun to drive

Harley Gray yeah it’s one of my favorite games but it’s not without its problems. Especially on The original Xbox one or the S.
The fact that PCars2 has the complete IndyCar license but only uses the official driver names in career mode gives me brain cancer. Such a great game, but so many small, infuriating design decisions.

Let’s be honest, the only reason you used Dixon is because Buddy Lazier didn’t race at any road courses in 2016. Come to think of it, I don’t think he ever raced at a road course once in his entire life.
